ellybett I am not looking forward to potty training proper! DS is 2.3 yrs old and occasionally uses the potty, but has had a week of absolute refusal to go near it, so we're holding off for now. He'll be 2.8 or 2.9 when number 2 arrives, but is still quite a silly boy, so we want the safety of a pushchair to restrain him in! Plus I will be walking a lot when on mat leave, so would like to be able to walk as long as I want without the whining of a tired toddler.
kayzr thanks for the phil and teds feedback, I am scouring ebay for one at the moment. I need to clean my britax up now and try to sell it, to make up for the expense!
violets Call the Midwife is real, isn't it? I thought it was based on true life memoirs of the author. and fireflies I agree about the availability of drugs now! I know some people love home births, but I am so so so glad I can go to the hospital and get lots of lovely drugs to get me through the birth!! DH and I were talking about hypnobirthing last night, and agree it's not something we plan to do. I have 2 friends who did it, and said that the birth was short but incredibly traumatic. Again, I know loads of women find it useful, but I just don't see the point in trying when I know there's an effective pain relief mechanism available to me!
Dalrymps, glad your legs are better! I have a proper cold now, and have to prepare a talk for work tomorrow, cannot be bothered! my bump has really popped out this week, I look about 8 months pg. not looking forward to seeing how much bigger it gets!
right, best do some work, although I'd rather lie down and sleep. And take some lemsip. that's one reason I'd gladly not be pg or breastfeeding right now.
hope you all have good mondays!
