Karmanna · 15/01/2012 13:43

Thanks fish!!

laylasmummy09 · 15/01/2012 13:54

Thanks everybody Smile
Congratulations sho Thanks and congrats to your sister fish
I thought it was all kicking off here last night but no luck, I'd had some blood on wiping then spent the night cramping and running to the loo but it all stopped at about 4 am so I'm totally shattered now and to top it off I god DD's cold, I'm not going to try any inducing methods until I'm done sneezing Hmm exept the sweep if midwife agrees wich I doubt she will, baby is still back to back so I'm dreading getting back labour/ forceps and all that, I had forceps with DD but wondered if any of you have experience of back to back birth?

DawnOfTheDee · 15/01/2012 14:14

Congrats sho xxx

8 days overdue now....I've got another sweep booked for wednesday although DH is still hoping things will kick off today so he doesn't have to go back to work tomorrow. After that I'll probably be booking an induction for next weekend but fx it happens before then.

No experience myself laylasmummy but a girl at my nct class was back to back....she had a water birth and said this really helped.

Moobee · 15/01/2012 14:15

Hello all, just to let you know we had a baby girl this morning! She is beautiful! Have had 4 or 5 hours sleep since Thursday morning and am ao tired I'm almost hallucinating. Labour lasted 24 hrs but forgot it all when presented with my daughter. Will update more when able.

saladcreamwitheverything · 15/01/2012 14:22

Congratulations Moobee! Thanks

DawnOfTheDee · 15/01/2012 14:24

ghosteditor · 15/01/2012 14:34

FrillyMilly · 15/01/2012 14:39

Congratulations everyone!! We've had a productive few days.

I'm 39+5. Lots of mucus discharge yesterday and low down cramps. Had DD at 39+6 so hopefully things will start off soon.

ParsleyLion1 · 15/01/2012 14:44

Congratulation moobee great news Thanks

Parsley - 37+6 but induction tomorrow Shock

saladcreamwitheverything · 15/01/2012 14:55

41+2 here. Fridays sweep did nothing, thought i saw a bit of plug last night but no more signs today, induction booked for Tuesday (if they can fit me in!) Sad

Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow then Parsley!

Karmanna · 15/01/2012 15:10

tigana · 15/01/2012 15:53

congrats sho

shevix I had the clicking with DS too. No idea what it was. Weird though.

Don't really want to be induced but REALLY don't want to wait any longer - no time, no time, DH goes away too soon Sad

DS is ill, fever and snotty, poor little guy, asleep on the sofa next to me at the moment.

No sign of this baby at all, getting a few BHs, but nothing else.

Tigana, 40+9

tigana · 15/01/2012 15:55

Oh...congratulations moobee! (must read whole thread since last post before posting!)

abeautifulbutterfly · 15/01/2012 16:00

Moobee congratulations! Told you you'd be before me! Get some sleep now girl and then come back and tell us all. Has LO got a name yet?

Sho congrats too - Charlie takes the biscuit for weight!

Well after losing bits of plug all days Fri and a sleepless night with period and lower back pains Fri/Sat... nada. Nothing at all yesterday, slept 11 h Shock last night, and nothing at all so far today. But there's time, due date is only tomorrow. We finished up the last bits of her "nursery corner" today, even made up the cot and put up pictures, so everything's ready.

DH has taken the girls to his parents' for the afternoon so I can rest, so I'm off for a lie-down.

Take care all of you.

tigana · 15/01/2012 16:02

laylasmummy DS was back to back. My labour and delivery with him was not straightforward...BUT was also very unusual as he didn't turn at all during labour (most posterior babies do turn) and he had his head at a particularly weird angle Hmm.

I do know that labouring on hands and knees is supposed to be good for posterior babies

laylasmummy09 · 15/01/2012 16:21

Thanks dawnofthedee and tigana I've been thinking of trying a water birth but its always full at the hospital and they only have 2 birthing pools but some of the rooms have big baths in them so ill try that.
Congratulations moobee Thanks

fishandlilacs · 15/01/2012 16:25

Congrats moobee whooohooo

Cor what a lot of babies we suddenly have-have we tipped over to more babies than bumps now?

Permission to bloddy well rant . I AM SEETHING. Can you believe my selfish selfish pig of a BIL has been updating his family blow by blow as to my sisters progress. They knew more than we did and to top it all off the whole feckin lot of them are coming down today to meet the baby, 7 of them. His sister, her chap, thier 2 yr old kid, granny, grandad in thier dotage and his parents. My sister hasn't even been discharged yet but is hoping to later. He just phoned my mum and asked her to clean the house and provide them with a meal tonight despite the fact my mum and dad have ZERO money-are utterly exhausted because they have been at the house looking after my nephew and worried sick awake because we hadn't had news and thiers no food in thier house. Dad has spent a fortune because he's been travelling amost 2 hours commute to go work She has rightfully refused and told them they can get a feckin take-away. But now My mum and dad are still there looking after nephew, hes basically treating mum like a paid help-now they feel totally in the way, my mum is spitting chips because my sister shouldn't have to be bothered with all of this, shes been in hospital 4 days ffs. she hasn't seen her eldest son in 4 days and she gave birth at bloody 3.30am this morning. She should be coming home to a be put to bed and be a small family unit for a while. Why can BIL not see that his family should bloody well wait til later in the week. What is he thinking. OOOHHH i want to use really rude words.

ParsleyLion1 · 15/01/2012 16:37

fish to quote my OH when I read that to him "he sounds like a knob"! Angry

supadupapupascupa · 15/01/2012 16:43

WOOPWOOP moobee congratulations Grin

So as far as I can tell we still have mummyzoe in labour, Belini who went for her induction on Friday, and Parsley and emmyjj due to be induced tomorrow.
Has anyone heard from aurorasky? according to our stats she was due a section 28th Dec?

Have I forgotten anyone???? (it's all getting too busy to keep up!)

BigHotMama · 15/01/2012 17:33

Congratulations to both shonno and moobee Thanks Thanks

fish he does sound like a bit of a selfish twat, hasn't he given your sister or parents any thought? Congrats to you becoming an Aunty though. I'd be fuming too!

shevix I have heard a clicking sound coming from bump over the last week or so too and it's like a bone cracking but your sitting perfectly still? Very strange though I agree.

Somebody mentioned back to back labours? My ds was back to back but ended up with CS due to failure to dilate past 6cm. Midwife told me this time to get on all fours as much as possible to get baby into best position but it's easier said than done.

Just cooked a lovely roast beef dinner and now am off to bake a Herman cake.

Been to ikea and b&q today to buy baby's wardrobe and paint for nursery. Felt like I started to waddle and could definitely feel a bit more pressure down below.

addictediam · 15/01/2012 17:40

My dh is being an utter arse, ok so hes tidying the living room, making dinner and about to gove dd a bath and put her to bed, but he refuses to give me a c section Angry he says its too dangerous ans he could kill me. I said he put her in here he should get her out. He says that's a silly argument. I've had enough i want to scream!!

fishandlilacs · 15/01/2012 17:47
