Happy new year everyone, not long for those of us that haven't popped yet!

Congratulations trubble and missree! Both sound like really positive experiences which is great. And James is on our list for a boy too - it's such a nice name I just can't bring myself to cross it off even if there are a plethora of them on here!

C'mon cakes, you can do it!

Have given up trying to keep up with you ladies - just read 6 pages and can't remember a thing, but hope everyone's ok and that things get going soon for anyone who's overdue.

A day and half until mat leave starts - really can't wait now. Getting rotten backache from sitting badly, but then sitting even more badly due to backache. Sigh. And DD's getting very clingy - she's sort of excited, sort of fretting, and still not sleeping. We've had to resort to having her in our bed again just so we can get some sleep - it's going to be a bit rammed once the baby joins us! Just hoping this one will be happy to sleep in the crib.

Right, should probably look a bit more proactive in my handover!

Don't think my sweep yesterday has done anything really. Nvm - have one booked for 18th Jan...if that doesn't work it'll be induction at the weekend (21st i think). Soooo hope things kick off naturally in the meantime.

Fryn I'm so impressed that you're still at work, well done you! Physically I'd be up to it but I don't think I'd be very focussed.

I'm actually having a brilliant day - well rested, full of energy, beautiful weather (I have the patio doors open as it's so mild!), and am blaring music and singing and dancing badly in an attempt to embarrass the baby so much it wants to get out . No show, no contractions, so I'm guessing ppm is staying put for a while.

I'm worried about cakes too but she's pretty resilient and is just so so keen to meet her baby. I think she'll be ok when he arrives. I'm only getting updates via her DH and don't want to bother them too much but she's such a sweetie that she was asking for an update on how I'm doing!

Cakes and I were planning on a curry tonight but I might have to ask DH to take
me instead

Think my waters have went, pretty sure of it. Was tidying the car when u had a small whoosh. Got a pad on to monitor for an hour so we can get lunch. It let's dp get a bit more sleep and gives ny parents time to get here from my sisters 40mins away. It's my nieces 3rd birthday.

aww congrats to all those with new babies, we're getting some lovely names! looking forward to hearing more news on cakes today!

been to hospital this morning - we need to go in for 10am tomorrow, with ELCS happening at around 1.30/2.30pm.... if healing well and baby ok, will be allowed home on Sunday afternoon! yey!

had bit of a wobble yesterday, thinking that this is literally my last time where I only have DD. I had to climb into bed with her and let her cuddle me to sleep, whilst I whispered to her sweet nothings. bless, I am going to miss her so much when I'm in hospital. arghhhh I'm going to start off again in a minute....

not allowed to eat after 7.30am tomorrow so getting up early for tea and toast.

will update on FB is I can whilst in post natal, so if someone can update the thread on here for me that'd be great. if not, I'll HOPEFULLY be able to do it as soon as once I'm out.

Not long Fryn. I'm quite glad I was forced to finish early and that I've got a deadline of Monday for the induction. It means I'm using my leave to get ready rather than guessing whether I'm ready or not - so not feeling the frustration that some of you ladies having. That said I wouldn't be finishing until Friday week - like ghost said I really don't think I could have focused for another 2 weeks. So for the best I think.

Not a bad night's sleep here too...not taking it as a good sign for some reason.

Haven't thought about a sweep too much, but my instinct is to go for it if she's gone back to LO. Feels like she's done something, I swear a bottom popped up in the shower, and there's def. a foot on the right. but I have no idea anymore as there was a foot left and right yesterday...

ghost yep, focus hasn't been a priority! Luckily I can hand stuff over to my mat cover and pretend it's all part of the training.

mia I know what you mean about DD, I keep thinking "am I about to wreck your life"? But I was talking to friend this morning and she said that her DD has totally taken to her little brother, although it did take a few months, but she doesn't really remember life before him now. I'm an only child so this whole sibling thing it entirely new to me! And apart from my witterings, good luck for tomorrow!

I was having strong contractions from about 9 last night. Eased in the night and managed a doze. Back again this morning until about 1030 when they disappeared. Had a few about 10-15 mins apart over the last hour. I don't know what's going on but I'm exhausted.
