Hopefully no one else has done it while my phone is messing about!

I want a washing machine with a baby setting Envy Grin

I lost the instructions to mine and it's taken me 2.5 years to realise I have a quick wash option Blush

I think I did babies bits on a delicate wash!

I had truly forgotten how tiring the last couple of weeks are (or I'm just a weakling Smile) I've washed up, done a load of washing, emptied clothes airer, hoovered through and done the grocery shopping and i am pooped!

Stopped for a cuppa, got to take Dd for a haircut at 1:30.

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 13/12/2011 11:49

back from MW and I have quite a lot of sugar in my wee. I did eat ice cream last night and she didn't seem concerned. But what does this mean?

mummyzoe2012 · 13/12/2011 11:56

i found my 1st streach mark the other day.

off to the physio later today, lets see what they do to help me and relive the spd. and hope that i can get a good nights sleep.

mummyzoe2012 · 13/12/2011 11:57

mulled that happend to me, if its just a one off they are not conserned if its more than once then they will test for diabites.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 13/12/2011 12:00

Omg - we only have 94 posts left to run! We haven't had our first baby yet but we need a new name already!

mummyzoe2012 · 13/12/2011 12:09

gosh we are getting through thease treads far to quick now. name front... final month will we all have jan babies!

miamamaClaus09 · 13/12/2011 12:19

oh yeah, some people will no doubt fall into February deliveries too! hadn't even thought of that!

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 12:22

addicted :( Sorry you had to cancel. Though think of all the wild nesting you can do...Hmm

nanny I'm thinking hands too. Lordy know where the hell my lO is today. She's been nerfing me sort of bladder wise with hiccups, but allsorts of shapes have been thrown.

worm parsley fryn welcome to the gang! Grin I can confirm that my guys are a little smaller with nelson's hypercal, but who knows!

Ss for stretchmarks, I got them initially on my boobs at 17 with a sudden growth spurt, then again at about 23 with a generic pie eating general fucking with my hormones fattening and now again at 30 and pg. Mum hardly got any...if I didn't look to freakin like her I'd think I was adopted.

Loving the idea of a washing machine with a baby setting. Wink . I've got 'handwash', 'wool', and a 30 wash that I'll be using...

fish I had a ++ for sugar on one of my tests. MW said they weren't worried about it this time, and would just check next time as I was showing no other symptoms of anything - it was fine. I'd had a takeaway the night before and had had a banana for brekkie...apparently something this simple can blow a positive. If you wish to avoid an accidental + then the advice is to give a mid-stream sample, not a beginning or end sample. Everything else they look for should also be there in the mid-stream sample.

I'm psyching myself up for a Feb birth and hoping she stays put 'til at least 28th Dec (37wks)...lots of family born in Feb (inc. me). Feb 1st will be 40+14 for me, think they intervene at 40+12 in my hospital.

MissRee · 13/12/2011 12:26

Hi ladies!

I'm due on NYE with DC1 but thought I'd post here cos as well as due Dec as everyone keeps telling me I'm almost certain to go over... even MW is talking about induction (at last appt 36+5 she said about booking it) Sad Scared the life out of me considering I've had a fairly easy pregnancy with no complications Grin

Has anyone on here delivered early yet?

Ria x

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 12:31

Welcome missree. No deliveries yet, but a few close calls and inductions booked pre-xmas.... our stats list if you're interested!

MissRee · 13/12/2011 12:33

Thanks Oeisha - will have a looksee later as I'm on my phone at the moment Grin. Will also have a proper read through this thread and get up to date! Not like I've got a ton of Xmas wrapping, housework and baby clothes washing to do or anything...

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 12:36

Naa, they'll all get done by a magical elf...
...just to warn you, we are burning through threads at a rapid rate... Grin

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 13/12/2011 12:51

Welcome to the list missree! We may well have our first babies soon if xkatyx's twins din't stay put - there's a link to her thread on recent pages. Hope you little one stays put for now!

addicted really sorry to hear about holiday plans.

I may take a look at that scar serum - no bump stretch marks yet but I have hideous hideous marks on my legs Sad - it's where I store fat anyway so must be what my body needed for breastfeeding stores. They're vile though.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 13/12/2011 12:55

Back from my growth scan. Bubs is plotting pretty much average on growth but tummy has increased to just above the 50th centile which I think is ok. At 33 wks she weighs 4 13 which is ok.

She's definitely still a she and I can confirm that the lower nerfings are hands! She also has hair which seemed very real Shock

Presentation was noted as cephalic I which was a new one I will now google.

Pharmacist won't give me anything for the pile. Too scared to so will have to ask GP. Think I have an appt next week so will see if I can hold out til then. The last one went on its own but this one is bigger.

Freaking me out on the radio. They keep getting people phoning in about Higgs bosons Grin the real one.

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 13:03

Cephalic = head down.

I keep laughing at the Higgs-Boson's stuff too. For MissRee it's what we call Braxton Hicks...

Mad very pregnant cat lady here, so I'm currently hugely upset by a post on a forum where it would seem someone thinks hitting a cat with a newspaper and throwing it in tubs of water is acceptable "punishment" for essentially just being a bit naughty... Angry Sad

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 13/12/2011 13:05

oeisha it was the capital I after the cephalic bit that I'd not seen before - I assume it's describing the position further but Google is no help I shall have to ask at the next appt.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 13/12/2011 13:07

Sorry - welcome misree Grin

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 13:07

Oh and Preparation H is pregnancy safe. I think anusol is too. Don't need a script for prep-H. I've been bathing in bath salts (Tidman's).

Oeisha · 13/12/2011 13:23

AH! Sorry Parsely. Grin Looks like it might mean currently face first, not crown first? If they were worried, I'm sure they'd tell you. Can you tell i'm bored...
...gah bugger. DH is in court today and doesn't think he'll be home 'til 7 now...am gonna have to go forrage for kitty food rather than just bollocking about on MN doing washing and making phonecalls.

FrillyMilly · 13/12/2011 13:34

Is it definitely an I and not a L? My notes from last appointment say ceph long.

I keep thinking I have finished my hospital bag then I think of more things to put in and I'm running out of room. I want to be out quick so hopefully won't need that much. I may do a second bag just in case I need to stay in a few days. Is anyone hoping to use the pool during labour? I'm not sure whether to pack my bikini as I would like to use the pool. Is that what people usually wear in them?

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 13/12/2011 13:48

No definitely an I - I'm assuming it's a roman numeral I Confused

Still I'm sure they'll tell me if it's a problem - the fact that it is a I and not a larger number makes me think it is probably normalish. Face first sounds painful for bubs - mind you, looks like she had a huge hooter on the scan I just saw; it could be painful for me Grin just as well they are quite bendy...

Re the cat thread oeisha - the punishments sound a bit cruel but do they not realise that they won't work either. Cats can't associate crime and punishment unless it is instant so to the cat it will be a random act of cruelty Angry :(

MissRee · 13/12/2011 13:49

Hi Parsley! I just assumed last time my midwife put depth LOA that it meant baby was lying head down but with her back to the left? Could that be it? I have a very lopsided bump most of the time Grin

MissRee · 13/12/2011 13:50

Sorry, stoopid iPhone, thst should say ceph LOA!!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 13/12/2011 13:50

I had to stop looking at one thread where the pregnant owner was asking if she should rehome the cat because it was suddenly being a lot more needy and actually wanted to come inside during the day - how very dare it. Bitch.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 13/12/2011 13:57

MissRee yes my last MW appt notes said that too. This was on the sonographer's notes - they must use different language. I'm assuming that the "I" might mean LOA or that it might refer to depth of engagement or as oeisha suggested maybe it's an angle thing.
