My mum has taken DD to Rainbows for me. DP will be on his way home shortly and hopefully will be making me a lovely Kedgeree for dinner :)

Baby has def moved down as my bump looks low and I can breathe a bit - how long I wonder!

Mmmm need to get on your hands & knees or gym ball to get baby moving again.

kri5ty · 23/11/2011 17:28

Ok I think I'm wishful thinking but could this be early sign of labour?

As I have shared with you all already, I feel very constipated, and having lots of pains, although when it actually comes out I'm not constipated (tmi), but today as well as really mild period pains, this feeling of being constipated has made me want to walk around and change position all day, I just can't relax or get comfy. I keep going to the toilet even though there is nothing there, just because the cramps are there. I keep pacing around the place!

bennybenbear · 23/11/2011 17:34

kri5ty I've been feeling v similar over the last couple of days but also been sick with it. Also had a small leakage last night which could have been baby engaging and a bit of waters?!

PullyWoolOver · 23/11/2011 17:41

Ooh all your talk of mince pies and clotted cream...major waaaaaant. Right am so off to M&S tomorrow to get supplies!

Helloooooo cheep .

tyel your house sounds like mine-smothered in tools and sawdust. Still, will all be worth it in the end!

Have repainted and covered a little chair today, looks gorgeous but now have put in nursery I realize I have unwittingly decorated the room for a girl-oops! Blush oh well, if a boy pops out I can swiftly change a few things...

Will attempt to post pic later as proud of my crafty achievement today!

PullyWoolOver · 23/11/2011 17:43

kri5ty and benny sounds promising - keep us posted! X

hawthers · 23/11/2011 17:52

pully pully put pictures up - want inspiration!

OiMissus · 23/11/2011 18:03

Glad that everyone's having interesting days and good MW appointments/ monitoring sessions.
As for getting fingers between bumps and ribs, I have no idea where my ribs are. My boobs rest on my bump. I can't wait for it to drop, but I can't imagine it dropping anywhere though - it's so huge.
Had a good afternoon, bought some prezzies and found the craft farm I was hoping to find. Decided it was too good to keep to myself, so I played with the donkeys and promised to come back with DH soon. (for coffee and cake and shoppi)
Tescos don't do the mince pie ice cream (sainsburys own) so I bought mince pies and haagen das. GrinGrinGrin and mulled wine. Grin
And martini is on special offer so I picked up 3 bottles that I shall get busy on AS SOON AS THIS BABY makes an appearance!!!!!!

kri5ty · 23/11/2011 18:03

bec I just thought it was because he is now posterior and on my bowel, but today I have kept pacing up and down and rolling on my gym ball to keep my mind of it!

I'm not expecting labour anytime soon, but now I'm starting to think it may be things starting off slowly

hawthers · 23/11/2011 18:11

mmm i've found the best position for back ache and also good positioning is to kneel on the floor, lean forward and rest my arms and head on the ball. the bump hangs out in the middle and apparently its good to get the baby into position and give my back a break for sure.

plus DDDDDH gave me a lovely back rub whilst leaning over said ball completely unsolicited - lovely lovely man!

msbuggywinkle · 23/11/2011 18:17

tyel your story did make me laugh, hope it calms down quickly though!

The mince pie ice cream will be bought tomorrow after my mw appointment I think. I have papier mâché and very glittery dragon eggs drying in the kitchen now, although DD1 and her friend did have a bit of an argument because a game got too scary for DD1. Still it must be fine again because they were doing their sobbing on each others shoulders that they miss each other thing as they left!

Sorelip · 23/11/2011 18:17

First of all, congratulations seven!

plu no news yet. On Sunday night, I decided that DH and I were going to Brighton for two nights. We had a wonderful time, the Thistle in Brighton is gorgeous! I just caught up with the thread now.

tyel an active sex life has some disadvantages...DH had a bit of a sore back on Sunday, and now can barely walk. I am actually more mobile than him at present. You should have seen the looks he was getting as we walked to Brighton train station, with me carrying loads of bags and him with one. :)

littlemiss what is the word with your cat?

Does anyone else feel like their baby may possibly be trying to force their way out of the wrong hole? It's bloody painful.

kri5ty · 23/11/2011 18:19

Envy at your back rub hawthers lol... I get too bored, I tried to watch tv hung over the birth ball but I was too close and my boobs hurt... guess I just need to try it for 15 minutes ish or find my I pod lol

Mmmmcheese · 23/11/2011 18:19

Thanks hawthers will try that along with massage hints directed at DH!

oi i cant feel my ribs either, my bump totally covers them which im sure is partly why my ribs are aching so badly.

kri5ty · 23/11/2011 18:21

Yup sorelip! Mine!

Getting cramps in bowel, shooting pains up my bum lol, and cramps of about 3 seconds in the right place!

hawthers · 23/11/2011 18:29

kir5ty forgot to say that the downside was sore boobs! memory like a sieve at the moment - just as well its my last day at work today but i just need to finish some stuff off before i can escape...

kri5ty · 23/11/2011 18:37

Haha, i guess I need to find a position where my boobs aren't actually on the ball... just hanging with my belly lol

OiMissus · 23/11/2011 18:41

Baby brain: prepping stir fry - squeezed 1st half of lemon over the steak bits, threw in bin (so far, so good) squeezed 2nd half of lemon directly into the bin... ??? !!! I suppose the bin will smell nicer than usual!

NorthernChinchilla · 23/11/2011 18:50

Hehehe Oi, that's the spirit! (And apologies, that wasn't meant to be an appalling pun Grin) I'll need to think what I want as my 'first proper glass', needs to be something classy.

Have to say I'm not a fan of mince pies- hate all dried fruit- but would give my arm for the Ferrero Rocher ice cream we discovered in Bruges. Used to munch one of those on the way back to the hotel each day, really tasty sort of hazlenutty toffee flavour with proper chunks in....mmmmm.....

And yup, sorelip, I often feel like that, although today's 'hole' of choice appears to be belly button for a change!

msbuggywinkle · 23/11/2011 18:55

sorelip me too! When I squat (usually when rescuing something for a DD) she feels like she is trying very hard to get out via my bum. She also seems to enjoy shoving at my belly button.

Waiting for my doula...she's late, probably her baby has pooed and then wanted milk on the way out, that is what he usually does!

msbuggywinkle · 23/11/2011 18:58

However, (pressed post too soon!) I have found the wallpaper I want for the toilet and for the hall stairs and landing...

toilet

hall etc

KateM77 · 23/11/2011 19:35

Evening all

kri5ty sadly the clear out has amounted to nothing. Sounds like interesting things are happening with you though - keep us posted.

I'm actually pleased nothing happened with me today because I was an hour's drive away from home. Not such a problem because my sister was with me and could have driven me home if necessary, but I did get really uncomfortable. Have decided that's the last long car journey now until baby arrives.

I've had a lovely few days with my sister staying, and got all weepy after she left earlier this evening. I blamed the hormones, but she texted back to say she'd cried too and had no such excuse :)

Tyel what a day you've had! Pleased to hear it drove you to laughter rather than tears.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 23/11/2011 19:38

Evening Ladies.

DP brought us fish n chips from the chippy on way home. Grin Ran me a nice bath and got DD to bed.

Also informed me he's going to ring my salon and book me in for a massage & reflexology Smile

baby is low down tonight and I have cramp. also very irritable Sad due to tiredness is my excuse but I think its because I'm fed up!

aethelfleda · 23/11/2011 19:41

I have been having an interesting day too... Currently in the throes of our Christmas Fayre prep: it's meant to be organised by the new committee (some of whom are fab, but others considerably less fab...) and so due to various "ishoos", me and my mate who organised the last one are busy bailing them out....I think it will be OK but it's amazing how some people just have no insight into their non-performance/communication issues. Of course it's all voluntary, but we don't want the kiddies disappointed so it's the usual crowd sorting it all out at the last minute sigh. Oh well, all over with in 3 days time, and keeps my mind off the impending arrival...

KateM77 · 23/11/2011 19:46

Darcies very Envy of all your DP has done!

DH just got home, told me to put my feet up and went off to make us dinner though, so I can't complain

cheeptrick · 23/11/2011 20:16

I'm sorry but i need to post this.

With regards to the meeting tomoro with family support work who did CAF to get social services involved in my life. The family support work is not attending as she is sick but the SW is and turned up at 5.30pm to discuss the meeting.

Son played up as he was tired and throw a book at me in front of SW Sad i had to explain 5 times why he was hyper and playing up. Then she discussed the concerns the major one being the mess in my kitch of washing in basket to be put thru machine and plates that had not been washed up yet.

But the major one that i was shocked at is that i chose to co-sleep and breastfeed my 2 yo Shock. She had it down as a bullet point of concern. I pointed out that it was called attament parenting and that i was free to breastfeed and co-sleep if i so choice but he had stoped in july and is in his own room now. So a SW is concerned if you choice the best way to feed you child and that you keep the child in your room longer than the recommened 6 months!

With regards the the other issues i'm not suprised the Family support worker is off sick. Other points being he is attending speak therapy (I'm dyslexic and so could he be), he is not attached to his keyworkers at nursary - he had 5 different people in 3 months and i'm happy he does not go to strangers.

I also asked her for smart opjectives Smile and if i need a FSW - answer is no but that she needs to investigate why i dont want one Hmm

OK rant over - sorry.
