Wonder how fast we'll fill this one up ... !

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/11/2011 20:42

Woohooo...

Marking my place, whilst shaking my bump as got bad cramps again :(

KateM77 · 15/11/2011 20:42

Checking in.

It only took two weeks to fill the last thread...imagine how fast we'll go once the babies start arriving Grin

OiMissus · 15/11/2011 20:45

Checking in! A new exciting thread - hurrah! Grin

msbuggywinkle · 15/11/2011 20:50

oi my chooks would be horrible to eat anyway, they are too old! We are thinking about doing some meat birds next year though.

I think I was getting withdrawal from the thread while out today. Still, I'm planning a day at home tomorrow to keep up!

sevensevenseven · 15/11/2011 20:54

Checking in!

darcies how exciting finishing work! Anyone else starting ML this week?

I thought I was going to have to phone the hospital earlier. I was getting some funny stabby pains in my bump, they stopped when I got up though. Baby has been moving around plenty though so I'm not too worried. Odd though.

Kitty5824 · 15/11/2011 20:59

Just checking in - I don't post often, but finish work next thursday 4 more shifts to go!! so will have more time to keep up Smile

Selfishly pleased to hear others who have had a reasonable pregnancy so far have suddenly hit a wall - it's not just me!! Everything hurts today, standing, sitting, lying on sofa. My dinner was horrible (never buy a macaroni cheese ready meal it's just not the same as making it yourself) and when I left work the 4 ladies toilets I walked past were being cleaned (not physically possible - there are only 2 cleaners!!) so I was past desperate by the time I got home. Actually had a little cry about it. Wink

Then found out DH had come home from work at noon because he "has a bit of a cold. If looks could kill I'd be researching mother and baby prison wards right now......

LittleMissFlustered · 15/11/2011 21:00

My octopus is made of meccanno, I am sure. It's all pointy steel corners!

I'm pondering quick comfort food. The cupboard has relinquished a can of corned beef and there's a bit of the green warburton's toastie loaf left, so I'm thinking massive doorstep sarnie for me to fail to eat all of:o

Kitty No court in the land would convict you! Slap him, then have a nice relaxing soak or something equally as decadent.

aethelfleda · 15/11/2011 21:03

I'm not shaking my bump, it will set up a standing wave...

seven, no mat leave just yet..I have 2 weeks to go. Counting down though!

And you're right, msbuggy, I am indeed reading my book rather than tidying. Got a teen fiction book called "Holes" from the library when I went with the DDs. I love reading (always have), but they've written so many interesting books since I was a teen myself, and I can't bring myself to read crappy brainless chick-lit when there are new teen books like "Fly by night" and "Uglies" out there...

hawthers · 15/11/2011 21:05

Marking spot be back tomorrow

NorthernChinchilla · 15/11/2011 21:17

Will also mark spot and say hello- am one of the first timer crowd

Will be humming 'baby got back!' for days now....

Sorelip · 15/11/2011 21:18

Plu I wasn't told that my pee was being tested properly and in my notes the midwife wrote NAD, so I didnt't look at the test results, plus whoever gave me the results (i think it was the midwife last week) she didn't actually check them, just inserted them into my book. But the antibiotics are working, so I'm calmer now :).

Love the new thread name!

sevensevenseven · 15/11/2011 21:23

I've just ordered another baby monitor as DS still needs his otherwise I fail to hear when he needs a wee in the night. Ive been really happy with his BT one and its been going for over 2 years. I've ordered a refurbished one from BT's own outlet on eBay for half the price it is in Argos, bargain!

figgygal · 15/11/2011 21:27

Well done ladies on the new thread.

Am feeling wiped out and off to bed soon crashing after the marshmallow binge earlier me thinks. Fruit and veg binge booked for tomorrow to compensate Blush

LittleMissFlustered · 15/11/2011 21:29

Mmmmcheese · 15/11/2011 21:35

Hi all, yes i came home this afternoon and been trying to catch up on sleep. Things calmed down for the moment but hakf expecting it all to kick off again tonight. Bit scared to go to sleep which is silly!

NorthernChinchilla · 15/11/2011 21:49

Cheers LittleMissFlustered, have to be proud of my northern-ness whilst in exile!

Classic bit of cheese, may have to scuttle off and find the video for full on booty waving action Grin

ManCrushedToDeathByALift · 15/11/2011 21:53

Sorry for thread gatecrash but saw the title on Active Convos and it's the funniest ante natal thread title I've ever seen. Grin

Best of luck with your pgs BTW! :)

plupervert · 15/11/2011 22:21

Hi, NorthernChinchilla - welcome!

Shame to hear from you just on the edge of murder, Kitty5824! You sound very restrained, though; well done!

LittleMIssFlustered, I think I have just scoffed a netful of satsumas, too. They are bloody nice, and I am not in danger of constipation - wahey! Thank goodness I've learned at least that lesson in life... If you want some fun junk food for the cupboard, though, I really recommend popcorn. It's compact and doesn't go off, and is just great as a meal with some wine and chocolate (post-partum, of course!) Wink

Sorelip, what does NAD stand for?

Have just watched the fourth episode of Death in Paradise and it was disappointingly silly, not like the other three at all. However, it is diverting, and I had a spell in the Colonies when I was younger, so will continue to watch, for nostalgia's sake and to remind myself why I am happy to be out of there
That's a really good idea about alternative entertainment, though aethelfleda! I recently read Diana Wynne Jones's "Archer's Goon", and despite its being youth fiction, it was plenty sophisticated: well written and well plotted. I also recently reread a whole lot of Narnia books, which were very interesting for an adult. I'm on something by Graham Joyce at the moment (who is brilliant), and know he has written a lot of YAF as well. Who wrote the books you mentioned?

P.S. ManCrushedtoDeath, thanks for the good wishes!

Sorelip · 15/11/2011 22:27

Plu, NAD means nothing abnormal detected. As this was clearly not the case, I now take it to mean one bollock.

LittleMissFlustered · 15/11/2011 22:29

:o

ManCrushed Gatecrashers welcome, especially if they bring beanbags and eloquent swearingconversationWink

plu I never have issues in proper satsuma season. Nom!

Right folks. I'm shimmying my booty off to bed, so mind yourselves, as the booty is bigger than the bump Wink :o
