Hello 3rdone I'm having my number 3 too! And I'm right there with you with the benign neglect!

pully can you plan lots of things to do over the weekend so you don't have time to worry?

Bloody shopping delivery is late...I was doing spaghetti carbonara for dinner but no idea if it will arrive in time now! Am going to go and insert fireworks into the orifices of Sainsburys now.

hawthers · 18/11/2011 16:10

Any tips on how to get your baby moving whilst a toddler sits on your lap? Having finally making it to nearly term I'm getting twitchy over every period of inactivity.

pully hopefully they are being over cautious re scan but will have fingers crossed for you on Monday. Have a history of small babies (well one anyway!) So please pm me if it does throw anything up or if you have any wits over the weekend x

hawthers · 18/11/2011 16:11

Sorry should have said ques over the weekend not wits - blinking phone

Xiaoxiong · 18/11/2011 16:12

Pully and mmm - my name is the original Quenya word for the White Tree, more commonly known by its Telerin name as Telperion and yes it's Elvish and out of the Silmarillion by Tolkien and yes it is nerdtastic but thank goodness you guys all knew that about me anyway...

I did an inversion on the sofa a few hours ago which was a very strange feeling - no pressure at all suddenly on my hips and bump and all the blood rushed to my head - and then went for a walk to the playing fields to watch DH's house play football. DH couldn't relax and kept jumping in front of me whenever the boys or the ball got within 50 feet Smile Not sure if any of it's made any difference to positioning yet but am now doing circles on my ball with the laptop up on the ironing board.

Thanksgiving has been moved to next Saturday as my aunt is flying in from Nairobi en route to Geneva and will stop over in the UK that night - so more time to prepare, but the window of convenience for the baby to arrive is getting narrower!

Mmmmcheese · 18/11/2011 16:21

pully just to reassure you i was measuring 3/4 weeks small for dates when mw measured me but in all my scans i have consistently been measuring 3 weeks bigger than average for dates, so the measurements that the mw does are not necessariky very accurate. I also had reduced movements at the weekend and when on the monitor LO was kicking away like mad and all fine.

OiMissus · 18/11/2011 16:25

I want to know where all your names come from!
However, when I was researching wedding venues, I think there was a lovely place in Cornwall called Tyelperion, (on the mr and mrs lux hotel website) that I was very keen on for a while. Is that the link?

Plupervert- I definitely want your name explained!

I don't have many friends with kids, but one of my bestfriends lives in France, and used the Internet and sites like this for all her baby week by week info. She introduced me to cloth nappies, etc. When I had to think of a name for this site, I thought of her, and she would call me "oi missus, would you like more wine?" for example. Hence my name. Makes me smile and think about her. :)

lottielou39 · 18/11/2011 16:26

I've been meaning to join this group for ages; am expecting our third daughter on 3rd December (but both my girls were a week early, so this might be a November baby) - I'm 38 and was 27/29 when I had the girls, so feel a bit like a golden oldie this time!
Love reading all your updates!

OiMissus · 18/11/2011 16:27

Cross-post elvish madness. Very Cornwall. Wink

3rdOneComingUp · 18/11/2011 16:32

Hey msbuggywinkle, glad to see i'm not the only one.

pully do you know if you or your DH were small? I know that we had friends that the baby's head was a constant worry throughout the pregnancy until the parents measured both of their heads and thye were both bonce heavy. Sometimes the answer is simple. Hard not to worry but get yourself out and about with good mates.

Know the twitchy kick monitoring too well. I'm getting nervous now that the light is on at the end of the tunnel (so to speak!).

mopsytop · 18/11/2011 16:34

Mine comes from my curly mop!

mopsytop · 18/11/2011 16:35

(very dull, sorry!)

msbuggywinkle · 18/11/2011 16:37

Hello lottie good to have another who will have 3 DDs on the thread!

Names...mine is an imaginary friend DD1 had for a while. Yes, she is bonkers.

Does anyone fancy doing bump pictures again?

mopsytop · 18/11/2011 16:40

I don't have any bump pics really. Do not want a reminder of how fat I am at the moment :(

Greenfingers1971 · 18/11/2011 16:43

Bored, bored, bored! 1 week into Mat leave and I don't know what to do with myself. So much to do but can I be asked? You guessed it, NO! Everything too much effort. Bennybenbear, still not got my bag packed yet either and think it will be some time before i get round to it! Girls, what am I going to do?!!

cheeptrick · 18/11/2011 16:51

Hi

Sorry mmmcheeses my profile is open again if you want to see my son, he had his photo take at nursary and we got them on a memory stick so we can print as meny as we want Grin

My name was cheaptrick its a name of a band but i deregs to try and get some work done but it didn't workout so now i'm back Blush

No bump pic from me sorry but i'm just so big and not blooming/glowing at all Sad

My son has an imaginary dog friend called Bob, so if the baby turns out to be a boy we have decided to call him Joseph Robert [bob]! It might happen after it was my son that told me i was pg, so i did a test and at the first midwife appointment told the MW he wanted a dog not a brother or sister Grin

lottielou39 · 18/11/2011 16:57

Hi msbuggywinkle, nice to meet another soon to be Mum of three girls!
I have two sisters myself, so looking forward to having a very loud, hormonal house full of females, lol. I can remember what it was like in our house growing up- fun, but noisy and emotional at times!

3rdOneComingUp · 18/11/2011 16:58

Has everyone decided on their names yet? We haven't even sorted out a list. I keep saying 'Clara' and DH keeps saying no.

bennybenbear · 18/11/2011 17:00

Greenfingers, packed the baby bag today so getting there slowly! Hot told off my the MW for not being organised-oops!

Was my day off today but been feeling rubbish. Woke with a headache but went to pregnancy yoga and had to emergency stop on way home to throw up at the side of the road! I think I panicked a few passersby, not enough that anyone stopped though! Just been sleeping all afternoon but guess I'll be able to watch more of CiN tonight. Think headache is easing off.

Hope everyone else ok. Thinking of next week being my last week at work, will be 38 weeks Monday so really had enough now lol!

cheeptrick · 18/11/2011 17:01

I know i'm having a girl (i asked at two different scans just to be sure) and we have decidied to call her Hope Frances

Mmmmcheese · 18/11/2011 17:02

Cute photos cheep!

Think my name is obvious, i love cheese!

I would like to know the origins of AWCH!

Sorry, exclamation mark overload.

lottielou39 · 18/11/2011 17:02

we love the names Isabel and Sofia, not 100% sure which way round though!

OiMissus · 18/11/2011 17:05

I WILL get bump photos this weekend, and will upload when I get my laptop back. This incredible size has to be recorded somewhere!!

msbuggywinkle · 18/11/2011 17:07

Our new DD is Miranda Marjorie Erica (middle names are DP's Nana and my Grandad), already known as Miri for short by most of us, but DD2 is calling her 'baby randa'!

I love the name Isabel, but had it vetoed by DP for DD1!

msbuggywinkle · 18/11/2011 17:09

Oh and a link to a 35 week bump pic of me...bump

Earwigwam · 18/11/2011 17:13

Anyone bought bras for hosp bag yet? I went up two cup sizes last time from the end of pregnancy to my milk being in, but since I'm larger to begin with this time I hope it doesn't happen again.
