Hands around a mixture of V-shaped pillows, pregnancy pillows, and re-arranges the glittery vom buckets ready.

Gets the jelly snakes going, along with some Cadburys for good measure, and a strategically placed fruit bowl to disguise the unhealthy choices.

Flicks the duster round, sinks down into a comfy sofa and awaits the rest...

Great news Jazz! :o

hawthers · 15/11/2011 13:39

great news jazzy here's to a relaxed and uneventful rest of pg for you

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 15/11/2011 13:46

Congrats to Jazzy!! We have another fully confirmed No Brooking bean on board!

dreamfeeder · 15/11/2011 13:55

wonderful jazzy, here's to the rest of your uneventful pregnancy Grin

true biscuits*, gues I've had a lot less time to heal fully. I've never been this obsessed with poo since the tear and having a baby whose poo to think about!!!!

DD is fast asleep in her buggy outside, at 10 degrees, with no hat on (it was on, but she's moved her head and it's off and I don't dare re-apply it!) and has been for an hour and a bit now- bliss.

Hope you're ok bartlet- was your appointment 2pm ish or am I confused?

scarlet, it's so hard not to worry. I mentioned my worries about one twin moving more than the other which DH openly pooh-poohed. Here's to us enjoying the rest of our non-eventful pregnancies!!! Aches and pains seems totally par for course unfortunately!!!

Great news jazzy, hooray for the brooking thread

CupcakesAndCocktails · 15/11/2011 14:05

Congrats Jazzy lovely news Grin

Scream I have just been reading back on you MW/history of depression story. It made me a bit mad on your behalf. Hope today goes ok. I can't believe the midwife who put outright lies in the notes in your other story. All of the notes are legal documents. I actually like my patients to read my notes, sometimes people do point out to me what they see as inaccurate. Most of the time it's just a misunderstanding but once or twice I have put something wrong in the notes due to being busy. I would much rather it is pointed out to me there and then than having to explain myself a few years down the line in court Blush.

jenfraggle · 15/11/2011 14:06

Great news jazzy I haven't heard a heartbeat yet, I'm hoping that I will get to at some stage though

pommedechocolat · 15/11/2011 14:08

Yay for Jazzy and wants!!

Barlett - so much brooking and hugs going your way. Fingers crossed very hard.

Dream - my dd is currently asleep in the car in the garage with me checking on her every five minutes! Can't bear to wake her as it took so long to drive her to sleep. Naps are such a pain.

Dh has his second interview halfway across the country next week. Think we're all going to go and then dd and I with my mum can start very tentatively house hunting. GULP.

dreamfeeder · 15/11/2011 14:47

Ooh, good luck to your Dh pomme, house hunting us fun, for as long as its quite abstract at least!! I can confirm it is too cold at 9-10 degrees to sleep outside with no hat. Dd only just warm enough. Her little friend, who also fell asleep on the way back from playground ( her mum had left their car at ours for easy parking) was much toastier with her hat on!!! I am going to cross everything your Dh gets his dream job and you move into the perfect house before dd2 arrives Smile

Hello ladies. Is this an exclusive club or open to all? I did post on some TTC threads but think your thread started when I was in denial about TTC and failing so never posted on yours. Am now pg and feeling a little surreal about it all so talking about it would be a Good Thing. Am 27 wks (its taken a while for it to sink in...) and have a 2 yr old and 5 yr old already.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 15/11/2011 16:02

Ooh lets brook for the perfect house for Pomme I am sure we can encourage a belter out of the woodwork if we all put our brookers caps on! And that they offer DH more money/benefits as they are soo impressed with his interview.

Hooray for sleeping children, was about time really, shame you can't go for a kip yourself Dream. I am sure you don't need to worry about movements. I rang the Mat unit as I hadn't felt the boy move for ages and they weren't worried at so early a term. And typically he moved, and had obviously been kicking my spine or somewhere were I couldn't feel it. Hmm And your babies are still so teeny at 17 weeks. You are 17 weeks?

Wants3 · 15/11/2011 16:16

tilder welcome, the more the merrier! This is a great place to voice any concerns as you will very quickly get reassurance from these lovely ladies and you realise you are not the only one feeling that way!

tilder · 15/11/2011 16:19

Thank you wants3. Does that mean you are also expecting number 3 then?

NinjaChipmunk · 15/11/2011 16:27

yay jazzy great news. How many weeks are you?
Hi tilder and welcome, make yourself at home.

I wish ds still napped sometimes, except now when he does it means bedtime is nearer 10.30 than 8.30 and that is just too much!

So I called the gp receptionist to ask about if I needed booking in appt before the 12 week scan. She told me she thought the gp would be right and that I wouldn't but to call the antenatal unit at the hospital to check what they expect to have been done when you go in. I have called on and off all day and cannot get through but having looked on their website you should have a booking in appt between 8-10 weeks. So called back to my gp reception and spoke to someone else who just said 'oh yes the midwifes are here every Thursday, just make your appt through us but you go upstairs to the clinic to see them'. Could they not have told me this 2 weeks ago? I'm not 8 weeks till this friday so I suppose it doesn't really matter yet but will make an appt for next thursday to book in. If I've not had my scan date through by then I shall ask them to chase it for me.

bartlet I'm brooking for your news to be the very best it can. I seem to have forgotten everything else that has been written so better go back and re-read. I have felt shattered for the last 2 days, no energy whatsoever, I hope it comes back soon.

hawthers · 15/11/2011 16:28

hi tilder glad you feel strong enough to come out of denial - we're a lovely bunch here and the brooking really does work!

thought i'd just stop by to say i've got another growth scan tomorrow but brooking is not required as i'm pretty sure they'll be finding a massive good size nugget in there seeing as i'm the size of a house and the waddle is on!

will be 34+6 tomorrow (can hardly believe my eyes seeing that!) and so the baby should be in the region of around 5lbs ish which would be MASSIVE for me - anything over 4lb would seem huge and as the last growth scan showed a 3lb 11oz in there - surely it must be well on the way to 5lb now. plus i've put on 2 stone so it can't all be cake related blubber surely. anyway will update with the vital statistics tomorrow - have first appt of the day at 10am although they've never managed to get within half an hour of that yet - how can they be running late for the first appt...?? beggars belief

jazzy283 · 15/11/2011 16:55

oooohhhh very early ladies 6weeks 4 days ty you all so much
jen how far are you ? have you had and early scan i could not hear heartbeat but had internal scan so they got a very good look and saw it well they told me i could not sure i could see anything i was too excited lol

jenfraggle · 15/11/2011 17:17

jazzy I'm 13 + 2 at the moment, my scan was at 12 + 1.

Also, when did everyone else get their 2nd Bounty pack? I got my first one at my booking appointment and when I had my scan saw lots of people coming out with a pack but I didn't get one. Judging by the size of most of them, they were mostly 12 weekers as virtually no bumps

Biscuitsandtea · 15/11/2011 17:30

I've only had one bounty pack so far Jen and I'm 21 weeks today and have had both my 12w and 20w scans with no further Bounty packs Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 15/11/2011 17:31

Just a reminder that we have a stats thread here if anyone wants to add themselves on, or if Newbies want to check up on us oldies Wink

Imps7 · 15/11/2011 17:35

Hawthers!! OMG!! 34+6????

hawthers · 15/11/2011 17:40

imps I KNOW!!! am in serious denial about going into labour in the next 5 weeks having thought i'd never make it this far - eek!

Wants3 · 15/11/2011 17:55

tilder yes to number 3 but I have a big gap between my boys and this one!
Jen I used the form in my first bounty pack and picked up my 2 nd one from boots after my scan. You will get the next two after the birth.

dreamfeeder · 15/11/2011 18:09

Hi tilder, congratulations on your pregnancy, and being so far along Envy

purple, I am only 17+5, very true. Dh can feel the kicks though, maybe as I'm so much bigger?! And on the subject of notes biscuits, at my scan last week the sonographer said hmm, I can only see one placenta, they may have migrated very close together or fused and its very low, posterior. My notes, written by the ante natal clinic sister who was there for the scan, say 2 placenta's seen. I will definitely query this at my next scan.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 15/11/2011 18:20

Still brooking no argument for Bartlet over here, I hope the appointment was positive and the consultant was able to provide some reassurance.

Hawthers it is awesome that you're so far along!! Nicely done, clearly you've been No Brooking like a good 'un!

Also welcome to Tilder good to have you along for the ride! I can easily imagine getting all the way to 27 weeks without it really sinking in yet!

Loving the stories of extreme naps! Grin Clearly all No Brookers are extra-creative when it comes to prolonging nap time!

I've had my consultant appointment and it was FAR more useful than expected! I'm a little bit in love with the consultant, she's exactly the kind of on-the-ball no nonsense person you want advising you on medical issues!

It took her all of 30 seconds to dismiss the depression issue. She agreed that it shouldn't be on my notes at all. After the appointment was over she went with me to find a mw to update my notes, and she found the mw who originally put all that stuff on there in the first place. When the consultant told the mw to take off the comments the mw initially said no(!) she thought they should stay. At which point the consultant gave the mw a 2 minute lesson in the difference between PMT and depression and insisted on the change. I loved her even more at that moment! Grin

The vast majority of the appointment was actually spent discussing my fibroids. Something which the mw hadn't even referred me for, but actually it's a fairly significant issue. The consultant booked me in for a 36 week scan, and if the fibroid is still too low at that point I'll be scheduled for a cs. If the fibroid has moved I won't have to have a cs but the consultant has put in my notes that I have to have active management of bleeding after the birth, which basically means being hooked up to syntocin for a while. This is because I'm at higher than usual risk of uncontrolled bleeding after the birth. She was incredibly helpful and explained everything to me clearly. I can't believe the fibroids were such an issue but the mw only referred me to the consultant because of my apparent "depression"! I feel very lucky it was caught in the end :)
