parsley hope you feel better soon fx

makes will send you my deets too. don't think there's many people with my name so you might be alright!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 08/11/2011 19:54

I'm having a bump party soon! My sister has organised it and AFAIK hasn;t made any mention of presents... If people want to give me something then she and my mum both know what things I'm still in need of/would like, but I'm having the party because I want to see everyone (and never got round to havign a hen party) and I'm not even going to mention presents because it's not about that...

Am so looking forward to it :) Will PM you re: facebook

Spagbolagain · 08/11/2011 20:08

Hi everyone. Glad you feeling better mummyzoe.

Hope everyone's ok. My DS is over his vomiting virus, but now DH seems to be coming down with it so I am desperately hoping I don't succumb. Can't believe only 3 and a bit weeks left at work, so much to do before I finish! But can't wait really.

Anybody else with a 2yr old? I think there were a few but have forgotten who Blush. How have they reacted to baby news? I only told mine a couple of weeks ago, he didn't seem to interested so far, but has also recently started with a lot of major tantrums. Am wondering if it's linked or just terrible 2's. Anyone advice on dealing with them?....

Oeisha · 08/11/2011 20:12

cakes I haven't yet heard from you, if you still want me, but let me know the name of the group. If it's any help, my profile pic if of my 2 furbabies having a snuggle. Heads only. White and black kitties. I'm apparently unfindable!

The thought of a baby shower freaks me out considerably. As did getting married etc. I hate, hate, hate being the centre of attention like that.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 08/11/2011 20:15

The group is hidden so you can't find it, but I should have sent you a PM on how to find me, yes? I had no luck finding you!

Oeisha · 08/11/2011 20:16

Ah! just got you mn messages, and have hunted you down I think cakes MWHAHAHAHAHA!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 08/11/2011 20:40

OMG - FB group has gone mental and Redhead seems to be as much of a FB addict as I am! This bodes very ill for my future productivity...

redheadbedhead · 08/11/2011 21:07

yeah i am a bit..... eeeek been caught 'red'handed.....

poor joke sorry Confused

redheadbedhead · 08/11/2011 21:12

i am LOVING the facebook group, nice idea cakes. unfortunately i was supposed to be having a shower about an hour ago, and now I got too addicted to the group and my schedules all messed up! ooops

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 08/11/2011 21:14

hee hee - it is looking like rather a bad idea time-management wise, isn't it? Oops.

Oeisha · 08/11/2011 21:17

Meh! As I apparently had "nothing to do" whilst on leave, I'm sure beteween MN and FB I'll waste away at least a week of time.

Livened · 08/11/2011 21:20

Hi all - can I be a Facebook friend too? Im so busy with work haven't been on here much lately (took ages to find new thread!) but finish for mat leave tomorrow! Brace yourselves for random rants, musings and general postings as I get huge on the sofa.

X

fishandlilacs · 08/11/2011 21:57

I'm loving it very much and I too am a total Fb addict.

shonnomanom · 08/11/2011 22:14

oh I love Taggies, dd has one and iv gave them as presents a few times as well.

Im waiting on my boss getting back to me, officially I finish work on Friday but I might have tommorrow and Friday off. FX!!!

cakes I need a group invite so I can join the party!
Parsley Hope you start to feel better soon

Spag I have a 3yo, she's known from pretty early on about the baby. And has been in good spirits about it although she has had behaviour issues. TBH I think its been everything rather than just about the baby. In your case its probably more Terrible 2's than baby. Whenever you notice a tantrum coming on try to distract him, dont lose it and try to avoid giving attention to the situation as he will start to realise how to push your buttons. Good luck x

There will be no Bump Party here. The friends that would be inclined to dont live her anymore and I dont see everyone else enough for them to give a toss. My sister wouldnt be inclined to as she is too busy moving house and growing 2 babes in the bump.

Feels like my baby is going to fall out any minute. Have lots of pressure really low down today.

ParsleyLion1 · 09/11/2011 08:02

Poor you fish lots of pelvic floor engaging today.

I'm working from home today. Waiting for the antibiotics to kick in. Apparently I can't use the Canestan pessary until I've finished the antibiotics as they will interfere with it.

Wormshuffler · 09/11/2011 08:03

Wow will you be the first on ML shan ? I have 6 more working days, and skived off yesterday as I was feeling hormonal and the hair dryer blew up on me causing me to worry the baby had had an electric shock so once I finished crying I rang my boss and said I had a headache! [pinocchio emocion].
Could I join the FB group too please? Please PM me the link someone :)
Has anyone else ever thought they could feel the umbilical pulse? I woke up in the night and turned over the felt this fast gushing and pumping sensation at the top of my bump............cue lots of mentaling that the baby was somehow lying on the cord in the position I was sleeping. I really am so neurotic, was never this bad with the DC's 12 and 10 it must be my advancing years !
Have a good day ladies :)

fishandlilacs · 09/11/2011 08:25

So who else finishes this week? I don't really want to know the answer to that! This is my last big week-as of next week I will have weds and thursdays off. Tomorrow is my last full time day.

I don't mind fridays as I just do 2 hours of art from 2-4 and I find it a really nice way to end the week-I don't have any stress of planning because I am only learning support, it's just a shame it's 40 mins commute. It's just Mondays and tuesdays that are the problem. Tuesdays especially as I have all the planning and paperwork. Ridiculous isn't it that I will actually only be working 6 hours a week but almost a full time job outside of my paid working hours marking and planning.

addictediam · 09/11/2011 08:32

Morning all, dd slept through last night :o
I have another craft fayre today and really hoping I actually make some money at this one.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

ParsleyLion1 · 09/11/2011 08:34

If it's any consolation I'm not finishing until mid- jan. I've still got 9 1/2 weeks to go Sad

shonnomanom · 09/11/2011 08:45

Morning ladies!
I don't think I'm the first worm, didnt someone say they were finishing today. I can't remember. Well iv got today off so only 2 days to go , at the very most.

Good luck at the craft fair addicted sounds like your Lo is starting to feel better
Hope everyone has a stressfree day x

fishandlilacs · 09/11/2011 09:03

I finish at the end of this month.

addictediam · 09/11/2011 09:18

Technically I'm still on extended unpaid mat leave, as I was going to close the business but then discovered I was pg again!? (start thinking about contraception ladies, its vety important!) I just keep doing random days like today.

abeautifulbutterfly · 09/11/2011 09:20

Cakes please can I be your FB buddy too? I don't go on FB much but it would be nice to see some photos etc... Will PM you.

I am self-employed so no work stopping for me. I have said I won't work after Christmas, but it's such a temptation if someone rings you up with a "could you just..." especially as DH is at the end of his tether with his job and is jacking it in at the end of the year. So we greet the new year with baby no 3 imminent and potentially neither of us bringing any money in Hmm. I am fully behind his decision, but can't help worrying just a tad...

MZ glad things have calmed down a bit. Can you get the glucose test repeated to put your mind at rest?

Happy mat leave to all those of you going on it! Hopefully with less stress you should be more rested...

I feel for all you guys with insomnia/sleeplessness problems. I am so knackered every night that I get into bed and hear nothing more till the alarm goes off at 6.30. By then I need a pee soooo badly I can hardly do it IYKWIM. I'll wet the bed one night, I'm sure of it!
