Morning all.

So sorry about Monday's rant, poxy hormones.

I've put the car keys somewhere safe and can't remember where Blush

Had to run the half mile to nursery this morning dragging poor dd behind me - I am shattered now! the return leg was considerably slower :)

Glad things have calmed down MZ

I can't decide about the FB group, I might join at a later date if that's ok?

Fryn · 09/11/2011 09:56

ghost thank you for your life/job saving email solution! I'll be implementing that, especially now the baby brain is getting worse!

I'm the same as Parsley, so another 9 1/2 weeks to go, although I'm off on holiday for a week, the office shuts over Christmas for a week, and I have another 5 days hols to take, so I guess 6 1/2 weeks actual work. That sounds much better!

spag - I have a 2 year old. DH told her really early on, which I actually think was a bit daft as she's now used to the idea that the baby's just in my tummy and will never actually show itself. She is being quite cute though, and saying she loves her baby. I imagine that'll all change when the baby actually arrives! She also doesn't like us reading the new baby story books we bought, which may be a sign as well.

Hope everyone else is ok!

Moobee · 09/11/2011 10:14

Hello all, gosh, this moves fast! I haven't been on for a while as we're still trying to get our house in order following the kitchen renovations and prepare for having the bathroom ripped out next week. [cries]

I'm so jealous of those of you on maternity leave already. I'm going on Dec 2nd so only just over three weeks... My back is really hurting with all this sitting though. My work are lovely and are getting all kinds of chair solutions for me.

I'd love to join the facebook group - cakes I'll pm you with my facebook link!

Moobee · 09/11/2011 10:17

Oh yes, I am feeling super heavy recently. I even feel heavy in my sleep now!
I had a dream the other night that I went to the doctors and weighed 19stone. I was panicking and trying lots of different scales and thinking it didn't make sense.

I weighed myself as soon as I woke, and I've put on 2 or 3 lbs, but I'm not 19stone yet thankfully...

ghosteditor · 09/11/2011 10:24

omg yes, definitely feeling heavy! I had to stand for about 90 mins for a firework display last week and it was v painful by the end. Moving around seems to be ok, but standing still is awful. And like moobee I'm always very uncomfortable by the end of the day sitting in my office chair, even if it is an expensive adjustable one.

I finish for maternity leave on Dec 15th, so just over a month to go, but I'm on four day weeks now - it's the only way I'm getting things done!

Oeisha · 09/11/2011 11:07

I'm on maternity leave from 21/12 BUT have so much leave/lieu to take that Friday is tech. my last day. There's a meeting for 2h on Monday that I want to go in for, so will be trying to do so/I need to check whether they'll 'let' me... Depends on when my parents come and visit also. They want to help me do the nursery. Mum's got all obsessed with curtains and wants to have ones that match the theme of the nursery...think shes' in for a shock.

Weird dream alert:
I gave birth to Abi (nowish) on the toilet, in static caravan, at some kind of meeting. Only realised as I could see the cord (I can't see anything down there right now, so how this was possible I couldn't tell you), so quickly put both hands down there to catch her. Initially she was the look of a 16wk foetus. but my mind thought that wa daft and 'updated' her to look for aporopriate. She was in her sac still, so as I was yelling for help/staggering to a bed I was pulling the sac from off her. Eventually I did and she started breathing.
Somone called an ambulance, but a MW arrived instead and looked at Abi (I mean held and looked, no real tests/prodding) and told me she wasn't going to take us to hospital as Abi "looked ok, she'll probably be ok". She the puts Abi face down on the bed and walks away...and I don't remember anything else. Shock Hmm

I'd better go slap some face on and prepare for a long shift.

ParsleyLion1 · 09/11/2011 11:30

oeisha that weird dream is a bit like one of my RL paranoias. I keep worrying when I'm a bit constipated that I'll bring on labour by mistake! I know that can't happen really but it's always at the back of my mind. Blush

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 09/11/2011 11:38

I was having weird gangster dreams - nothing about baby at all.

Will reply to FB-related PMs now :)

fishandlilacs · 09/11/2011 11:41

Oh oiesha-what a horrid dream-bless you.

A couple of night ago I dreamt I had had him and when I woke up it took me a few minutes to realise it wasn't real. I was expecting the moses basket to be right there beside the bed.

ParsleyLion1 · 09/11/2011 12:37

Can somebody please tell squiggler that dancing jigs in my belly just cos I'm lying down with upset stomach isn't funny or clever? Smile

It's reassuring but not really helping my stomach settle!

fishandlilacs · 09/11/2011 13:00

Oi squiggler behave yourself and leave your poor mummy's tummy alone!

miamama09 · 09/11/2011 13:28

had a nightmare this morning. Went to Midwife appointment as normal, when we were listening to baby's heartbeat, there was an extra beat, an 'ectopic' heartbeat. She sent me out for 20mins, then it was still there when I went back in.

So she sent me straight to hospital to be hooked up to monitor for half an hour. Anyway - all seems ok. Irregular heartbeat - but within normal range - whatever that means. If babies are born still with it, they mainly grow out of it. 9 out of 10 times it's harmless.

So mega stress this morning, do not want to be in work now! Was proper worrying, as you do. Just want to go home and snuggle! Brew

Moobee · 09/11/2011 13:41

Sorry for those of you having bad dreams and miamama09 that sounds stressful, I hope it's all OK. Try and hold on to the 90% harmless bit.

ghost I walked two miles to a display in Milton Keynes and by the time I got there, I was in agony! I leant against a lorry as there were no seats left and I was doubled up and breathing in quite a controlled way to try and stop the stitch type pains. A man looked at me all concerned - I think he thought I was going into labour. The fireworks were amazing though!

ParsleyLion1 · 09/11/2011 13:47

miamamma that must have been a worry. What moobee said - hold on to the 90% ok bit.

Fryn · 09/11/2011 13:47

mia that's really not what you need. At least it doesn't sound too serious, but that doesn't make it any less traumatising. Have a Brew and a Biscuit.

oiesha - what a peculiar dream! Let's hope the actual birth is rather more standard.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 09/11/2011 13:50

eek - we have clocked up rather a lot of hospital visits between us, haven't we? Glad everything turned out OK
x

ghosteditor · 09/11/2011 14:01

hope all's ok mia - sounds like everything will be fine, but best that you know these things early I guess. Brew

shonnomanom · 09/11/2011 14:36

Some very weird dreams happening. I had a dream that I met Bill Cosby and Robin Williams whilst on holiday in Tokyo. I was pgp free as well so it must have been a dream !

GiraffeAHolic · 09/11/2011 14:50

Looks like car keys have gone in the recycling bin, which, you've guessed it, was emptied this morning Angry

shonnomanom · 09/11/2011 14:56

Oh crap giraffe do you have a spare set anywhere?

OP posts:
GiraffeAHolic · 09/11/2011 15:26

Nope bought the car second hand so just the one key. Dh is going to have to fly to vauxhall when he gets in and get them to reissue a key.

Typically the v5 is in my name but I can't go because dd's carseat is locked in the car.

Oh and they want £116 for the privilege Sad

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 09/11/2011 15:26

gah. Was in desperate need of a nap but my dad decided to come and talk at me just as I was dropping off and now I can't quite get back to that place. Great, this will make a trip into central London and working in the evening sooo much easier

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 09/11/2011 15:27

gah - giraffe - not good
