Thanks BB3 and Cheshire - Yes I think he will be. Smile

Trudyla · 01/11/2011 08:26

Congratulations Tally!

sassy I'm so sorry you had to go through all this alone. But please don't worry about the missing skin on skin time. Like others said, you are more than making up for it now.
I think your twins are 15 months, like my DD, aren't they? How did they react to their sister? I'm really nervous about that.

MrsH What a nightmare about ceiling and insurance. Good tip from BB3 there, might be worth hasseling them, but I understand that you probably won't be in the right frame of mind for that. Then again, pregnancy rage might just do it Grin

No news here. I've had 8 hours brilliant sleep and feel so rested. For the first time ever I would actually like this baby boy to come today. No signs though Hmm

Have a good day all.

chocolatehobnobs · 01/11/2011 09:33

Well done Tally - lovely name
Congratulations Jane hope you're ok

Trudyla - the race is on with you , me , dannid and mrs hende. Which of us will pop first? Anyone else still here? I'm a bit bored now! Having windows cleaned and garage painted today. Serious nesting has gone on here.

Will do more swimming with jumping lunges in the pool today, another walk and some pineapple eating!

Oh how lovely is it really only four left to pop?! Smile

meravigliosa · 01/11/2011 13:58

Aargh -- managed to post this on the old thread, even though I knew this one was here.

Not been on for ages. Went to hospital for induction on 12th, and had to wait 5 hours for a room as someone was having triplets that day. When I got hooked up for monitoring, I was having contractions. Was not very dilated, so they decided to go ahead anyway, but my hind waters broke and contractions started just before I was due to get the pessary. There was meconium in the waters, so they were keenish to give me drugs to hurry things on a bit, but the baby was not distressed, so I just continued with labour naturally. I refused until I could get proper pain relief, as I thought contractions would be more painful if I was given syntocinin, and there was no anaesthetist available. Got a half dose of morphine while waiting. Finally got an epidural, but it didn't work (was a bit disappointed -- would have liked to see what a birth without pain was like). As was quite dilated by then agreed to have remainder of waters broken rather than call anaesthetist back for another go. Ended up with a non-induced birth without an (effective) epidural. DD2 now 19 days old and doing fine.

PenguinArmy · 01/11/2011 14:02

and scones

dannid · 01/11/2011 14:54

Congrats to Jane, Tally and anyone else I may have missed...hope u are all enjoying ur little bundles!!! Grin

Still here waiting (not so) patiently. Sad No signs of baby showing up anytime soon either which makes me think I could b in this for the long haul again (DS was 10 days over!). Got sweep tomorrow tho with midwife so am really hoping that might help kick things off...but don't want to get my hopes up!

All everyone keeps asking me now is if the baby has arrived yet or if there's any news and it is really starting to wear me down Angry. Plus to top things off one of my close friends is going in tomorrow for a c-section despite the fact that she was technically not due till 11 days after me!! Envy

40+ 3 and very grumpy!!! Gonna spend the afternoon making white chocolate brownies with DS and will then probably eat the lot!! Hehehe! Smile

CheshireDing · 02/11/2011 03:57

Dannid white chocolate brownies sound gorgeous, I would def be scoffing those too, especially whilst they are soft and warm Grin

Congratulations Jane.

Still a few "October" babies due to be born in November yet.

SconesForTea · 02/11/2011 04:17

Congratulations Tally and Jane and meravigliosa on the birth of your babies Smile (and Envy)

I am most certainly still here, 40+11 today and fed up. Cant sleep yet again which is really getting me down. Who got 8 hours?! Envy Envy Envy

I had a sweep Monday when was 40+9 and the MW was really positive it would kick things off. Other than crampy BH, nothing, no show, no ctx. We've been shagging like mad Hmm and I get crampy BH after each time but that's it. I went for a good long walk yesterday, cue more crampy BH, which died away overnight. DD was 14 days late and I think I'm looking at the same again. I'm upset because it's half term this week for my mum, so the only week she can come and stay for a few days. I need to have this baby NOW.

sassy really sorry to hear you didn't get the birth you want. I hope you're enjoying every second with your DD now.

MrsH I can't see how you can 'wear and tear' a ceiling?! Are you fighting them? (the last thing you feel like doing right now of course)

TallyBear · 02/11/2011 05:37

Dannid I made a batch of choc brownies on Tuesday - contractions started that night..... (Brownies stale by the time i came out of hospital!!)

CheshireDing · 02/11/2011 06:50

Scones 40+11 no wonder you have had enough! What is your hospitals overdue limit? Mine was 11 days and then they would have induced - I reckon I might have been able to get a few more days out of them if I had pushed them to leave me.

chocolatehobnobs · 02/11/2011 06:50

Hello scones - you're doing really well to remain sane and calm at 40+11. I'm quite fed up now at 40+3!
Feels like nothing is ever going to happen and the baby is just getting bigger. Went for a hot curry last night and haven't even had bowel rumbles. no more BH than usual just getting bigger and feeling heavier.
And I can't even suggest sex to DH he thinks shagging in pregnancy is weird! Also getting very fucked off with texts saying get a move on!

Trudyla · 02/11/2011 08:40

Still here, still no baby. Nuff said.

Struggeling a bit with DD who seems extra naughty, probably she can feel things are about to change. I feel so sorry for her, even though I know it's a blessing and a gift that she is getting a little brother.

Good luck to everyone, especially scones. It really can't be long now...

Trudyla · 02/11/2011 08:40

40+3

TallyBear · 02/11/2011 09:20

Sending positive labour thoughts to scones, Choc and Trudla and anyone else still waiting.

Hang in there.

MrsHende · 02/11/2011 10:33

So lovely to hear that the babies are still arriving safely!

Now we're into November we must all be overdue - although I think you must win the prize scones for going the furthest! Good for you for keeping on putting in the efforts to bring on labour, sounds exhausting Wink!

I was at the midwife yesterday and turned down a sweep - have way too much on my plate, don't have time to go into labour!! I NEVER thought I'd be saying that a week ago!

We're now safely installed into a flat that we're renting on a week-to-week basis and waiting to hear from the insurance company. After turning down the claim on Monday morning DH got on the phone and they agreed to reconsider and a second assessor came out yesterday. Fingers crossed we hear today one way or another so we can just get the work started! (I can't remember who asked how a ceiling can have wear and tear but I agree!!!!! I think that they would say it's old age - the flat is a Victorian tenement and over 100 years old.)

Lots of speedy and smooth labour wishes to everyone still on the bus Grin!

MrsHende · 02/11/2011 10:34

supergirl1 · 02/11/2011 14:02

Well ladies, I did it! Elliot Thomas arrived just in time for the end of October on Halloween! Totally different labour to previous one, much better. Out of hosp after one night, just settling in now. Loving being a mummy again. He was 9lb 3.
