On my way in to hosp to get checked out. DH is near, so will meet us there. Smile

LittleMissFlustered · 01/11/2011 18:49

How about:

So far up the junction that the only thing left to do is SQUEEEEEEZE!

Wink
LittleMissFlustered · 01/11/2011 18:50

Cross-posting with you Oi

Good luck, hope everything is fine

Cheeptrickortreat · 01/11/2011 18:54

Good luck Smile

Cheeptrickortreat · 01/11/2011 18:56

Or how about:
December 2011 - Up the Junction and squeezing it out!

aethelfleda · 01/11/2011 19:03

I like that, Cheep!

Earwigwam · 01/11/2011 19:09

Or, up the junction- it's a tight squeeze, as I seem to be bumping into doorways, sofas, you name it.

On the nipple cream I think it is useful to have in hospital but my hospital gave me a tube to use/take home as I had some sore patches so make sure you ask.

AheadlesswomancalledHorse · 01/11/2011 19:23

Good Luck Oi!

Earwigwam, like that suggestion! Managed to smack squatter with the fridge door today...I assume I'll get use to giving myself 'bump berth' with about 2 days to go, then spend the next year or two doing it automatically & having people think I'm mental.

Stupid baby clothes/real nappies question; I take it nappies are like towels and you're not supposed to use fabric softener?
Can you/should you use fabric softener with baby clothes?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 01/11/2011 19:24

re the nipple cream - will I really need it as i'm only EBF?

Good Luck Oi

Cheep I like that title.

DD has been in bed since 5:20pm with a headache, my poor bean. Is fast asleep now tho.

Am going to pack baby's hospital bag tonight.

Really sore ribs. so will do that and then take myself off to watch TV in bed with a nice cuppa T and MN with you all :)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 01/11/2011 19:25

AHWCH I use fabric softener on everything including baby clothes. Not changing my washing powder or softener as DD & DP have sensitive skin and this combination suits :)

KateM77 · 01/11/2011 19:27

You go away for the afternoon and the thread goes mad! Good luck Oi

I like cheep's suggestion for the new thread name

Got measured for nursing bras and pleased to find I'm coming up the same size as I did with DD. Now to check the old batch aren't too stretched after lots of wearing and washing.

Xiaoxiong · 01/11/2011 19:51

AWCH the woman I've just bought my nappies from advised not to use fabric softener because it coats the fibres and reduces the absorbency of the nappy. Advice was confirmed by a quick search of the nappy topic here on MN as well (see here and here).

Kate maybe it's because more of us are starting to be at home and have more time to post - today's my second day off work properly, though all ties will be cut on Thursday when I go into the office for a couple of hours to pick up my birthing ball. Apparently my office mate has been bouncing on it at his desk in my absence Hmm

cheep I like the thread title and nominate you to start it when we get to 1000 posts Smile

Good luck Oi!!!

Both DDs are asleep! This is a rare occurrence, so I'm feeling celebratory. Chocolate and the young apprentice are the order of the evening.

DP is having a shitty time at work, his boss (business owner) went into work yesterday, screamed that the office was messy and hasn't been seen since. His wife (works ther part time) also hasn't seen him. This is about the third time this year that he has done something similar, I really feel for his wife as dealing with it must be horrible and they have a 9mth old too. DP is planning on kicking his freelancing up a gear in the new year now, hopefully he'll manage to get it to the point where he can become self employed as this is our last baby.

AheadlesswomancalledHorse · 01/11/2011 20:20

Thank you Darcies, hope DD feels better soon & Tyel (always forget you can search MN threads, google just threw up a load of really old yahoo answer pages)!

Oooh that's great Kate! Looking forward to getting measured myself, haven't bought a new bra size in a few months (and I know this one I'm wearing is too small)!!

mopsytop · 01/11/2011 20:40

Oooh good luck Oi!

aethelfleda · 01/11/2011 21:28

AWCH - don't go anywhere near fabric softener with cloth nappies - you're quite right it stops them working properly as the wee doesn't absorb into them. (also NEVER tumble dry wraps/all in one nappies/pocket nappies as you will melt the waterproof PUL layer and wreck them!)

I wash mine with a tablespoon of sanitiser and about the same amount of regular washing powder at 40 degrees (with the occasional 60 degree wash about once a fortnight or if the load is extra stinky). Don't know why I'm using the present tense there, I've not changed a nappy in over two years due to the age gap!!!

Did I remember to wish you good luck, oi? Hope so!

aethelfleda · 01/11/2011 21:29

ooh, and as a quick aside, those bra extenders from ebay were GREAT and have stopped me having to emergency dash back to M&S. Well recommended!

LittleMissFlustered · 01/11/2011 22:09

Is anyone else suffering a severe lack of appetite? I am just not interested these days:/ Have had two biscuits, a cup of tea, a sandwich and a stolen chicken skewer today and am not even remotely hungry:s

aethelfleda · 01/11/2011 22:18

ooh LMF, I am too! Have been telling myself to eat but with no enthusiasm whatsoever eaten a piece of toast for breakfast, a small microwaved chilli for lunch, and some of the DD's cheese sandwich for tea. Plus a mince pie.

Dh got home and said "what's for dinner". to which my answer was "meh - want a mince pie?". Poor love had to make his own dinner-outoffa-tin.

figgygal · 01/11/2011 22:25

God I wish I couldn't eat I'm eating like a pig made self sick twice last week am looking forward to getting on post baby diet.

PullyWoolOver · 01/11/2011 22:32

Woo the thread's gone mad! Been away for a week so just squeezing one last one in here!

Finding your posts most reassuring ladies so keep up the good work - it's good to know you're all out there if I need your help/ support/ expertise.

Not much to report except expanding cankles, decreasing appetite and increasing pile of baby stuff Grin

oi sounds like things are happening, hope you ok and your DH back soon. How exciting to think there may be another thread baby soon!

PullyWoolOver · 01/11/2011 22:35

figgy when I say my appetite reduced I mean actual food, as opposed to chocolate which I appear to need at least 3 bars of per day Wink

sevensevenseven · 01/11/2011 22:42

The thread has gone mad since earlier!

Good luck oi!

Sorry in advance for filling the thread!
