Thirsty too, and tired, and very irritable!! Sore boobs starting. Feeling quite queasy at times.
I kept a detailed diary with first pregnancy (so much time, so little to do!) and can say to the day when symptoms started or ended. If this pregnancy is similar I can expect to be puking from 8 weeks til 18 weeks... :(
Good to have it to compare this time with though. It's making me feel normal and sane. Ish... Confused
Who else is due on 8th May out of interest?

Failsafe · 04/09/2011 21:39

Can I join??
Just got a bfp today! First month of trying so a little shocked...v Happy but shocked as we were.prepared for it to take a few months!

So I think I'm 4+2 and due date of may 11th! [Grin]

Failsafe · 04/09/2011 21:40

Plus is it normal to have chronic indigestion and twingey tummy so soon?

MrsSET · 04/09/2011 22:37

hello ladies :)

i am 5+1 so due around 6 May I think... very excited as it will be our first.

also trying to stay positive and not think about anything that could go wrong, but it is at the back of my mind.

not feeling any different at the moment.

looking forward to sharing the journey with you all :)

Northey · 04/09/2011 22:52

Hello and congratulations to everyone already here. Can I join you? I got a bfp (well 3, actually, once I'd run out to buy more tests) yesterday. Best guess is for a May baby, but my cycles are so weird it could be any date at all within it. This will be my first and we'd been ttc for two years.

Northey · 04/09/2011 22:55

Symptoms for me were weirdly tender nipples. I'm now also experiencing massive thirst as well (waves at dialm, lalabuloo and myweeangel) and increased vaginal discharge, which is very nerve-wracking as I'm permanently convinced it's my period starting.

Wrigglebum · 04/09/2011 22:55

Hi all and congratulations Smile Got invited over here from the pregnancy thread by only and Heidi.

Checked my ipregnancy app and it says 4+4 but since I'm never regular and have no idea when I ov it's just a guess. That would have me due on 9th may.

Pregnancy #2 for me and pregnant on 2nd month of ttc, last month we were caught out by a 40 day cycle. Got v sore boobs and a hint of queasiness, last time my morning sickness was from 5 to 10 weeks.

Getting lots of cramping, just everything growing. Last time I was pregnant when I got what must have been implantation pains I thought it was my period coming so rushed out to have a rare steak and wine- oops! Still can't really believe it, it's a bit surreal that you pee on a stick and then see no further proof until the scan. I couldn't believe it last time that when you go to the doc to confirm a pregnancy they don't actually do a test and just believe what you say. I was so glad when I had my scan last time and saw I hadn't imagined the test result and symptoms Grin

cowboylover · 04/09/2011 23:07

Hello all! Just wanted to send out huge unMN hugs to you all as I am a May 2011 Mum and it's was this day last year e found out our now gorgeous daughter was on the way.

Hope you have wonderful pregnancies x

elizabethtailored · 05/09/2011 12:49

Loads of us now - congratulations everyone.

I have been rather quiet as we are on holiday in Spain for the week. DH is making the most of all the yummy cured meats, chorizo and rioja....while I am sipping on peppermint tea and giving him evils...

Enjoying the sun and is amazing to be able to doze whenever I feel like it and not dropping off in front of my computer at work like last week.

Hope you are all well. x

Lucky you, Elizabeth! Apart from the cured meat tragedy, that is. That's definitely going to be what I miss most.

Has anyone seen the doctor yet? I have no clue what I'm meant to do when. And also feel weirdly like telling the doctor would be like tempting fate for it all to go wrong.

elizabethtailored · 05/09/2011 13:00

Thanks Northey.

I did see my doc day after BFP. He weighed me, took blood pressure, asked if I smoke/drank, told me about the miscarriage risk and that was about it. He filled in a form which he then faxed for a midwife to contact me - apparently at about 8 weeks for 'booking appointment'.

Was given an NHS book called 'Emma's Diary' - a sort of week by week guide but full of adverts really. Also he gave me a diff due date to the NHS due date predictor calendar thing inside The Diary!

Elizabeth

Where abouts in the country are you, cause i rang my doctor surgery this morning to basically say im around 4 weeks what do i do know, i have to take a urine sample in so they can send to their lab to confirm pregnancy and that i will be contacted to see the midwife at around 10 weeks. Hmm

What do i do in the meantime about my wonderful indegstion that has magically appeared on sunday morning? do i book a docs appt or suffer until 10 weeks?

Yorky · 05/09/2011 14:58

Failsafe - Gaviscon is about to become your best friend for the next 9 months! You can even get it on prescription but wait till you've seen the MW and get free prescriptions for that :)
ANd don't be surprised if different places do things at different times - some will tell you gender at 20wk scan, others won't. I've had babies in Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and Shropshire so far, this one will be Nottinghamshire - and I still have no clue what to do when!

Failsafe · 05/09/2011 15:25

yorky im beginning to find that out! I've had to drag my to the chemist at lunch i know have gaviscon tablets in my possession, thankfully they have started working!

I have a prepay card that runs until March 2012 Hmm so it isn't an issue wating for my exemption cert.

Im in Nottinghamshire! we get to find out the gender at 20weeks! (well my aunt and a couple of friends did and they had babies this within the last year!)

Northey · 05/09/2011 15:27

Oh I'm jealous of your indigestion, failsafe! My nipples feel alarmingly normal today. They were my only symptom! What if their sudden lack of tenderness means it's all a big mistake and I hallucinated the lines on 20 different tests?

From a practical point of view, though, I guess all you can do is neck Gaviscon...

Northey · 05/09/2011 15:29

Can you get a half year refund on your prepay certificate, by the way? I'm sure I remember reading that you can.

Yorky · 05/09/2011 16:19

Hurray - someone who knows how it works aorund here!

Don't worry about lack of symptoms Northey, my ONLY symptom with DS1 was lack of periods, no sore nipples, no sickness (v lucky seeing as I was working as a chef so started work at 7am doing cooked breakfast for 70!) I honestly expected scan to show overactive imagination but he's fine and starts school tomorrow!

chocolatesparkle · 05/09/2011 21:02

Hi everyone,

I'd like to step aboard!

Tested at the weekend and got a faint positive, so will be repeating in a few days to check that it's got a bit stronger. 2nd pregnancy for me, but miscarried first at 7 weeks in May, so really hoping this one sticks.

Great to see so many new friendly faces.

notnowImreading · 05/09/2011 21:29

I'm in too . Got long series of faint lines last week and BFP on Friday. Went back to work today after six weeks off and am knackered.

Failsafe · 05/09/2011 21:38

northyI am necking gaviscon like its wine atm. Don't have any other symptoms apart from periody type feelings though.

HeidiHole · 05/09/2011 22:48

Oooh hello notnow I'm so glad you joined the club! Congrats on the definitive BFP. And mildert welcome!

I'm so early on I think 3w6days had cramping today I'm obsessed and paranoid by everything! But no spotting or bleeding so I am sure it's fine! The next 8 months will crawl...

Northey · 06/09/2011 05:49

Hi chocolatesparkle and NNIR and congratulations!

Same here, Heidi. Though I wonder if we'll calm down a bit after the first trimester when we have actually seen a baby on a scan and everything. Or is that hopelessly optimistic and will thy just make it a hundred times worse?

FloydieDoydie · 06/09/2011 07:31

Hi and congrats to the new joiners Smile How are we all feeling? Ive still been feeling a bit like it's not real - I've done 6 (or is it 7) tests now to reassure myself that there really are two lines and I'm not a mentaller! Just ad well they are Internet cheapos Grin

I've keep thinking maybe in imagining symptoms so maybe it's all in my head (never mind the positive tests and no period!).

Ive had mild cramping, a bit of backache, feel massively bloated and when I need to eat, I have to eat NOW! Oh and my sense of smell might be stronger - the other day I walked into a pub dining room and could tell someone there had eaten kippers!

My fingers are crossed I don't get bad morning sickness - my mum said she didn't get any - but having mild nausea. This morning was the first day I had to have a cracker in bed to help Smile

Just a thought - do we want a due date list? If so, I'll get the ball rolling: copy/paste and add yourself (in date order please Smile)

FloydieDoydie - due 7th May

Failsafe · 06/09/2011 08:14

FloydieDoydie - due 7th May
Failsafe - due 11th May

Wrigglebum · 06/09/2011 08:14

I keep thinking I should do another test in case I imagined those other 5 I did (4 x Internet cheapies and a superdrug one).
I'm wearing travel bands to try and keep morning sickness at bay and eating lots little and often, as some people say it's made worse by low blood sugar. I think someone put one tonne weights in my boobs while I was asleep last night.
Good idea re the dates, I guess we'll be shuffling them around once we get doctor or scan dates as well (or at least clueless irregular people like me will).

FloydieDoydie - due 7th May
Wrigglebum - due 9th May
