Any May babies?!

I only did it a test this morning and have not even told my husband yet!

Due May 4th, but am not sure as they were 10 days out with DS and quite surprised when he came out dry with no amniotic fluid - had pointed out many times that I was there when it happened !

Have to admit to wearing maternity jeans the last few days I can still easily fit in my normal ones but bought some new maternity ones and they're just soooo comfy!! couldn't resist wearing them. Looking forward to getting to the stage of being visibly pregnant now when people offer to do stuff for you all the time

I've kind of recovered from my 2 and a half hours of prodding and poking at the LGI yesterday. I thought that it would be a quick scan and a quick bit of blood being taken and out - how wrong I was!

After the scan the nurse asked me for a urine sample and tested that, then the doctor came in and asked me LOADS of questions and weighed me again. There was a lot of stuff about the fact that I was on antidepressants before I got PG, it's nice that they are so thorough, even though I am feeling fine.

Also there seems to be some concern about the fact that I had a cone biopsy for some pre-cancerous cells on my cervix a few years back. She had a look at it (aaarrgghhh! The dreaded speculum) and said it looks OK but they are going to refer me to the specialist anyway - something about there possibly being problems if they removed a large amount of the cervix (I don't think they did).

The they wanted ANOTHER urine sample! Good thing I drank so much water that morning. Then they sent me off to have my bloods taken. So all in all I was there from 8.30 until nearly 11.00!

All this kind of overshadowed the magic of seeing my baby again until much later on in the day when I got the picture out to have a proper look!

Cheers cupcake,hope to wonder about here for another few months:) Thought I had a bulge one day but it's gone somewhere,I'm afraid I'll be one of those that wait aaaages to show(can't wait) although I can't imagine my DP offering to cook the dinner at any stage!

Mikocat now I start dreading my appointment on Monday.Except from fear whether I'll hear "it's ok" or "I'm sorry" I had some cervix jobs done a while ago.The mw has questioned me about it already.Let's wait and see.I,m back to work,finishing on Saturday so I have "only" Sunday for mentalling.Anyway,have a nice uneventful week everybody and thanks for adding me to the list:)

Hi all, we had bad news at our scan today. There was no heartbeat and the baby didn't grow past nine weeks. We're very sad, but grateful to the midwife and doctor who took care of us today. I wish you all the best of luck with your may babies. X

cupcake - I've been struggling with my jeans - especially in the evenings. Ordered some maternity trousers (for work), jeans and bump bands. The jeans are SOOOO comfy (in them now!). The trousers are good, but not as wonderful as the jeans.

Just procrastinating checking in really. Should be working. Can't be arsed. Now debating with myself whether to bunk off and go and do the grocery shop before picking up DS from his daycare or push through and take him to the supermarket tomorrow. We do need more milk and cheese though - hmmm.

Hello gingerlemontea - I'm sure I've seen you in my cupboard

I had a sort through my old maternity clothes and have found several pairs of jeans and a lovely pair of black linen trousers that will be perfect for the coming summer. I do seem to recall last time the jeans pissed me off though, they're underbump ones and just kept falling down for ages. Will try them on and run around the house to see whether they stay up.

Ooh, any of you second(or more)-timers have experience with gestational diabetes in previous pregnancies? I've been given a monitor to check my sugars as my early GTT was high, and I'm really starting to wonder what on earth I'm going to be able to eat. Would welcome advice if anyone has any good tips.
