myweeangel · 03/09/2011 09:02

Congrats HeidiHole too!

hannah001 · 03/09/2011 09:25

Thanks and congratulations to you all. This will be my dc #4 if all goes well. With a 3 bedroomed house. This could be interesting!

Onlymydogunderstandsme · 03/09/2011 13:59

Congrats all! I have been scared stupid this morning by some bleeding! Spoken to NHS Direct and the nurse thinks things are ok and normal for this stage but to call back I'd I'm worried! Told to go to gp Monday who will probably refer me for early scan! What a rollercoaster! Just hoping it will all be ok!!

TrickyBiscuits · 03/09/2011 15:15

Hello everyone and congratulations to all!

Got a BFP just this morning! Quite a shock as had a chemical pregnancy last month and decided to leave it for a while (money, house move, jobs etc also) but it's somehow happened anyway.

We don't really know how (apart from the obvious Grin) as I didn't think we dtd during my fertile time, and as we weren't planning this, I've drank LOTS in the last few weeks so now feel awful and worried. Think I'm due around 8 May.

Marmite123 · 03/09/2011 16:21

Hi and congratulations to all
Got my BFP this morning. The NHS calculator says due date 10 May.
Pretty surprised as we'd only just started trying again this month after an MC in May (and that time it took 4 cycles of POAS stress before the BFP).
Trickybiscuits - I've also had a few over the last few weeks, seems like not trying so hard and just eating and drinking as usual has worked out better than depriving myself, making charts and instructing dh to perform for the smiley face. But I'm off the sauce now.

Quenelle · 03/09/2011 16:29

Hi all.

Can I join you? I got my BFP yesterday, due date is 7th May. It's my second DC, I have a 2yo DS.

Am currently trying to think up imaginative reasons why I will not be drinking at a few dos I've got coming up. I never go without a glass of wine so my friends will be very suspicious. We really don't want to tell anyone yet though, I had a couple of scares early on with DS and we ended up telling everyone when I was 6 weeks. It was a very long nine months.

mythical · 03/09/2011 16:38

Hello again everyone! i've got my initial appointment for wednesday to confirm things.

still having the period-like twinges.

possibly tmi but the most obvious symptoms - my nipples are HUGE (and i mean HUUUGE) and very painful! :(

HeidiHole · 03/09/2011 17:06

Ah quenelle someone I recognise! :o

Need to sit down and read through this whole thread to get to know people...

So when do we phone the doctor? presumably they aren't going to care do anything for quite a while, 12 weeks? Or should I phone on Monday just to make myself known?

got the BFP today, but my period is due on Tuesday and I feel really like it's on it's way, can 'feel' it in my womb its a bit nerve wracking it better not bloody come!!

Quenelle · 03/09/2011 17:26

I'll make an appt with the GP for Monday week. I don't work Mons but won't get an appt this week.

Heidi the GP will refer you to the MW and they will contact you around 8 weeks for booking in appt.

Hi! Can I join? got the BFP a few days ago, DD 3rd May.
Quenelle Excuses can be like: I still have a hangover from yesterday, I am driving or the good old antibiotics thing.
Personally I am too tired to go out anyway... Sad

mythical · 03/09/2011 21:53

been feeling stupidly emotional today. i'm just still so scared of something going wrong. i've been trying so hard to eat healthily, rest and not do anything i shouldn't do.

MiL came over today with the cutest little unisex cardigan. i know it's way too early, she knows it's way too early but she's just so excited. and i am too, i just keep worrying all the time, but i suppose that's how i am, i try to remind myself the chances of having a normal pregnancy are greater than something wrong happening but.. i can't help it!

Started reading Pregnancy - a Mumsnet guide. it's brilliant. so so so funny but packed with useful information too.

hope everyone is doing well and not as silly/anxious as me!

Buffty · 04/09/2011 07:31

Hello, can I join you? I got my BFP yesterday. It's my 2nd DC as have got a 2 year old DS. My due date is 15th May.

lalabaloo · 04/09/2011 09:21

Hi, can I join? After 8 months we got our BFP yesterday :D I'm so pleased, we have told a few people who knew we had been trying (only people who I would want to know should the worst happen). When I got the BFP I really wasn't expecting it this month so I just walked into the bedroom shocked and kind of chucked the test at my husband! Nothing romantic here!

It is very exciting but I am trying not to get too carried away! My main concern at the moment is dates, I haven't had a period since 4th July but went to the drs a fortnight ago about lack of periods and they did a test which was negative. So i'm either newly pregnant, or was right on the cusp of a BFP but not quite. My boobs have been sore, getting progressively worse, for about a week and a half and have had period type cramps for about a week. Any thoughts? I think I might get a clearblue thing that tells you in weeks later today. Based on my usual dates I think I would be due about 14th May, but I won't be suprised if that changes

Hope everyone is okay here :)

DialMforMummy · 04/09/2011 09:37

Mythical I know exactly how you feel. Statistically things should go well, and if things turn out not to go so well, it won't be our fault... Not a great deal we can do about that.
Well today I have had a break out of acne. Oh joy!

mythical · 04/09/2011 10:44

exactly :( but it's also so hard not to be very excited until the 12 week scan esp.as it's my first pregnancy. MiL going ott, bless her. it's her first grandchild. i know she's gonna be a great nan. still can't believe she bought baby clothes already!! ha-ha

MyDaydream · 04/09/2011 12:26

Wow, congrats to all the new people!
We told most of our families this weekend, OHs mum has wanted a grandchild for years and ran around the house shouting 'Im going to be a Nana' and laughing.
Its very much sunk in for me now, my brains stopped going 'really, no your not' whenever I say Im pregnant out loud!

mildertduck · 04/09/2011 13:13

Hello hello!

I got the definitive BFP on Wednesday but had an exceptionally faint line the Friday before. According to the internets, today I am 5 weeks exactly and I'm due on 7th May. But that's a bit of a guess since I came off my implant on 1st August and didn't have a period, though I'm reasonably sure I ovuluated on 14th August, so...

Still hasn't sunk in even though we've told our parents and sisters - I don't feel especially pregnant although I've been feeling rather sick and having to have a lie down after work. Still all v new and exciting!

Snowy27 · 04/09/2011 13:41

Hi all
Can I join here? Current EDD are between 30th April and 2nd May so could be an April or May baby! Got my booking in appointment on 21st September- not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, feeling tired and very sick!
Congrats to everyone and here's fingers crossed to easy, fun pregnancies for all!

dreamingofanallotment · 04/09/2011 17:24

Congrats ladies! Can I join you too please?
Got a BFP yesterday after 1 month of properly trying - my face pretty much looked like this :O and me and hubby spent the day saying 'bloody hell' whilst staring at each other in shock! We were at a wedding yesterday so I decided to test in the morning so I could find out if I could drink or not - I'm very glad I did test! Think I'm due 12th May.

Glad to hear that it's not just me with sore boobs that seem to grow by the hour (hubby is rather pleased about this...!) and a constant need to nap! Back to work tomorrow, not sure how I'm going to cope without a nap at 2pm!

We haven't told anyone yet - no-one knew we were trying, and it's quite nice to have it as our secret at the moment. I may change my mind the next time I speak to my mum though!

Snowy27 - an easy, fun pregnancy sounds good! Fingers crossed!

lalabaloo · 04/09/2011 18:30

I feel like I need a nap today too but not sure if it is because of the baby or if it is because of all the excitement, we couldn't sleep last night! I'm really thirsty as well but no other symptoms yet apart from the twinges and huuuuuuuuuuuuge boobs!

Yorky · 04/09/2011 18:33

Hello everyone, room for another? Got my BFP last weekend but as its DC4 and we're moving house next week I haven't done much about it yet! DH knows but not our parents, and I've been getting periody cramps too but there is nothing to show there's a problem so fingers crossed.
Congratulations and good luck to you all

DialMforMummy · 04/09/2011 18:43

lalabaloo I am really thirsty too! No big boobs for me, just acne Envy

lalabaloo · 04/09/2011 20:38

DialM i'm glad it isn't just me, it's like an unquenchable thirst! Unfortunately, with the big boobs comes serious boob pain :(
