Hello, not sure if there's a similar thread already but just thought I'd create somewhere for nayone else expecting in April 2012?

I actually conceived about 3wks ago but I think this counts as week 5? Just staring to get symptoms - headaches, little stirrings of nausea, getting tired and grumpier than usual lol.

A little bit concerned because I have a LOT of work on from now until October and maybe beyond - and I think I'm just going to want to sleep and puke through it all - hell! :( d'oh.

Sending sticky vibes your way Kat xx

I've just booked a doctors appointment but it's not til 19th August. I'm a bit anxious this time round as we are living in a different part of the country compared to where I had my 2 girls. I'm not sure how the system all works here. I want to ask friends but then they will know my secret lol.

caramel25 · 02/08/2011 21:54

Hello, can I join? I found at last Thurs that I'm pregnant after IVF and TTC for one and a half years. Due around 3 April I think, I've been having IVF through the Lister clinic and had a couple of blood tests with them, and have an early scan next Thurs. Haven't made an appointment with my GP yet, going to do that this week though. Feeling very bloated and boobs very sore and heavy and feeling tired other than that no other symptoms at the moment. Trying not to get too excited as its very early days and risks greater after IVF but we've told our parents and our two best friends thats all until 12 weeks.

I'm now wondering whether to exercise or not, I usually go to the gym at least a couple of times a week and haven't since egg collection 5 weeks ago so feeling a bit lardy! Not really sure what forms of exercise are safe yet.

Nice to meet you all anyway.

Dollybird99 · 03/08/2011 10:31

Congratulations Caramel - that's wonderful news. Of course you can join us!! Fingers crossed that everything is OK.

I am also not sure about exercise. I had been doing Step, Hula Hooping and Boxing on my Wii, but think I might just stick to the Step for a little while and see how I get on!

RosyRosie · 03/08/2011 10:40

urgh feeling very sick now. Put some tomato chutney on a sausage butty last night - turned my stomach! Now all I want to eat is toast and marmite.

Can I join in with you ladies? I got my bfp only on Monday. My due date is 8th April. This will be my second LO. So excited!

HollyPockett · 03/08/2011 17:35

Hi All - I got my BFP today and am due on 11th April.

Here's to the next 9 months :)

LaTristesse · 03/08/2011 17:58

Welcome ladies!
I think most exercise is fine, encouraged even, although I don't think skiing is recommended! I'm just walking and yoga really, same as usual, but I did manage to do both right up til DS1 arrived last time, despite some light SPD.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 03/08/2011 18:52

Hello!

I just got BFP for DC#2 this morning, due 15th April :) Been trying for about 7 months, but still BF so its taken a while longer than first time (DS is 10m tomorrow)
DS is being a little monster and I want to go to sleep!!

MeltedMoments · 04/08/2011 08:21

Swimming is meant to be very good. I try and go once a week anyway but no chance at the moment while it's school holidays. Once the girls go back to school in September I'll get back on it.

I booked my first MW appointment yesterday for 18th August. Wasn't expecting to get it that early. I'll be 7+4.

spout · 04/08/2011 10:03

hello folks - BFP this morning - due date apparently 14th April. Will come back and post when I've stopped shaking so much Grin

LaTristesse · 04/08/2011 10:56

Yay, well done spout, welcome! All these Aries babies - brilliant!

spout · 04/08/2011 19:37

Right, have calmed down slightly now. Hello everyone, lovely to see so many of us here already.

Is it bad that my first thought after getting the BFP was annoyance that I'd just bought a load of deee-licious stinky cheese that is now contraband? Then I freaked out and danced round the room, had a bit of a cry and gave DS a big hug. Grin

Are we doing a list? I do love a list Blush

14th April spout 1 DS: 2.1yrs

is that right? sorry, it's been a while..

scratchviolet · 04/08/2011 19:55

ooh hello everyone - can I join too? I posted on another thread but looks like this is the place to be for april babies! Due 7 April I think. Drs appointment tomorrow. Feeling very very tired and a bit sick but very excited. Just don't know how I'm going to keep it a secret though. Have 3 weddings in next 6 weeks - can I just cradle one glass of champage all night and not raise suspicions!! Managed to keep it quiet first time around (DD 18 months) but think it's going to be much harder this time. I already feel huge!

LaTristesse · 04/08/2011 20:28

I'll add to your list spout...

mumofwilliam · 05/08/2011 19:44

had my Dr appt yesterday - forgot how little they actually ask you or tell you other than what hospital do you want to go to! Ah well maybe they think that second time round you should remember!! Having lots of trouble with exciting baby not sleeping - how will i cope with 2 under 2 - so tired...
how is everyone doing?

mumofwilliam · 05/08/2011 19:45

oh that was meant to be existing baby not exciting baby! oh need a kip!

kat2504 · 06/08/2011 08:04

Well, I am still pregnant. One day at a time.....
I got some sense out of the medical profession yesterday and have got an appointment to see a consultant when I'll be 6+4. The waiting through these early weeks drives me crazy. This time I have a holiday in the middle of it so that will take my mind off things.

No sickness at all yet but terrible trapped wind. I went round burping all day yesterday!

RosyRosie · 06/08/2011 11:54

Hi newbies - yay!

Yesterday the sickness was terrible, I can pretty much only eat toast, ice cream and peppermints. Not actually throwing up, but just incredible nausea. Gone completely off tea....I'm not even 7wks yet, don't remember things starting til 8wks last time! I don't know how I'm going to manage my work load, and I sure as hell don't know how people do this with other children to look after - high five to those that do!
