Hello, not sure if there's a similar thread already but just thought I'd create somewhere for nayone else expecting in April 2012?

I actually conceived about 3wks ago but I think this counts as week 5? Just staring to get symptoms - headaches, little stirrings of nausea, getting tired and grumpier than usual lol.

A little bit concerned because I have a LOT of work on from now until October and maybe beyond - and I think I'm just going to want to sleep and puke through it all - hell! :( d'oh.

OP posts:

Glad your scans went well Beyond and Spanner Grin
I've added you to the stats thread too spanner. Couldn't see you on there already though (am I just being blind?) so didn't know if you had any other DCs or wanted to add an age or location or anything. So it's just your name by 8th April for now.

So who's next then? Anyone got a scan tomorrow?

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 29/09/2011 23:09

Weyhey, yay Spanner !! :)

spannermary · 29/09/2011 23:51

Thanks, Al and Beyond!

I've now been on to the thread and added some stats.

Still smiling! :)

Morning all! My oh my there's been a lot going on here. Our only laptop packed in so I've borrowed my Mum's so we can find another one to buy. Any ideas anyone?
I need to be moved back to April 1st. Went for a scan on Monday and my date's been changed again. (could someone more computery than me maybe change me on the stats please)
The scan was fab. The baby was moving about a lot and everything is in the right place as much as they can say at 13 weeks.
I told work on Tuesday and let's just say they've been less than kind. I won't say what I do but it involves considerable risk assessment and I had to put my foot down with my female boss (no kids) who wanted me to do X Y and Z which I refused to do. She obviously spoke to someone else who told her she was being ridiculous and has back pedalled on her original demands. I had another hassle with a much higher up boss about something else he was basically ordering me to do. Doesn't it make you feel great, supported and really excited about going back to work after maternity leave. GGGRRRRR.

Rant over.....off to wash a few windows in this lovely weather.
Have lovely weekends everyone.

Thaleia · 30/09/2011 10:58

I'm off work today, I just feel totally exhausted and ill, ill, ill. Being pregnat is like having the longest hangover. Ever.

I got 2 letters yesterday, one for my scan (13.10.) and one to meet the T ELM team and midwives (19.10.) - ist that the booking appointment? Doesn't say so and I'm a bit confused now.

Also, I had to shift both slots, they would have been 12.10. and 08.10. but we now have to fly to my parents exactly on those days. I'm a bit upset that everything is so late now. I just read the NHS booklet with all the things which could be wrong with the baby ... not good.

Glad that your scans all good - congratulations!!!

It's supposed to be 29 degrees in London and I hope it's getting warm, I need a bit of sunshine and cheering up.

AprilAl · 30/09/2011 12:06

Updated stats thread aprilfoolsbaby. Glad your scan went well, but sorry to hear people are being difficult at work.

Enjoy the weather! :)

moojie · 30/09/2011 13:59

Hi ladies, not been on here much as been trying to busy myself! We had our scan today and all was well so now I'm pregnant and proud! Scan actually put me forward 3 days so due date now 4/4/11. We told our 2yr old son who didn't even bat an eyelid so I think we'll leave it a few more months and explain again!

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 30/09/2011 14:04

Moojie I keep telling DS but no danger of him understanding before I come home avec baby Grin
Though he does lift my top and kiss my belly, so wonder if he knows ...?
(DS is 1 next week)

spannermary · 30/09/2011 15:19

Beyond - that is so gorgeous!

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 30/09/2011 15:29

PFB and pregnancy hormones arent a good mix Grin
Everytime he does something oh so clever and he is a genius I burst into tears!

SurprisEs · 30/09/2011 22:40

Am I the only one here who didn't wait for the scan to tell people? Blush

I dunno why I told people so early, about 6/7 weeks pregnant. I think it was the fear of feeling lonely in case of a mc.

So good to hear everyones scans are going well. :)

3 1/2 days until my scan!!!

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 30/09/2011 23:32

I told loads of people, my whole family knew, and DHs whole family (and I mean extended family, cousins etc) plus his and my best friends, best friends of siblings. My sister accidentally told her MIL too Grin

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 30/09/2011 23:35

Doh, posted too soon!

I only waited til after my scan to make The Big Announcement on facebook to distant friends etc. Plus didnt want my former boss to know in case any temp work came in for me (thought they probably wouldnt offer it if they knew). Not that it did :(

So, is anyone having a feeling towards gender...? I keep calling baba "he" but that may just be because DS is a he...?

SurprisEs · 30/09/2011 23:43

The only person I regret telling is my exboss, as you know I ended up unemployed. But at the time it seemed to be the thing to do as I was feeling so sick. Anyway, I'm kind of over it now.

I think it may be a boy. No good reason. Just the fact that I've had a lot of nausea and back pain but haven't been as sick as with DD. I feel different this time. But I've heard from many people this means nothing. Just feel like it's a boy... Maybe.

SurprisEs · 30/09/2011 23:45

And I've slightly gone if sweets and am really into vinegary kind of tastes. It was the opposite with DD.

Uglymush · 01/10/2011 14:33

Help me please......
Went to buy some proper maternity clothes today and cried in Mothercare as they didn't have my size in anything other than skinny jeans (which I am not skinny enough in the calf for). DH just hugged me and laughed.

Please tell me I am not the only one that has done anything this pathetic??

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 01/10/2011 19:08

I bought most of my maternity clothes at Next last time, plus jeans and two tops so far this time. I love them cause I can get long legged trousers!! :)

SurprisEs · 02/10/2011 11:46

Last time I bought my stuff from mothercare because I worked there so sale + 20% discount = cheap, very cheap. But I only needed 2 tops and two bottoms as most of the time I was in uniform!

Uglymush · 02/10/2011 16:12

I got clothes from New Look in the end. It was more that I cried in the middle of a store just because they didn't have my size!!

SurprisEs · 02/10/2011 16:49

Do H&M have a maternity range? I've always like it in there (I shop for myself 1x a year at max though, so never really paid a great deal of attention.

I use to HATE having to size all the bras at mothercare! There are sooooo many sizes, it was never ending...

Hynish · 02/10/2011 17:36

Was having a flick through and found this post. I'm due on the 17th April and have my scan this week, can't wait for it! Immediate family know, but after the scan will start telling everyone else.

Went out yesterday and had a celebratory lunch - I've had about a month of not eating and feeling sick and finally decided I wanted to eat something. Midwife said not to panick that I was losing weight. Now just really tired.

SurprisEs · 02/10/2011 17:54

Welcome Hynish! And congratulations!
My scan is this week too! I was very excited but am now just nervous and frightened. Should really stop reading threads that mention Missed Miscarrieage and similar stories!!

digitalgirl · 02/10/2011 20:48
