Hello! I've just found out that I'm pregnant and due on the 23rd March! I'm 29 and live in London with my husband, dog and cat. So far at 4 weeks things are going very smoothly! I'm very excited about going to the doctor (even if they don't care) as feel it will make things more real!
If you're expecting in March too please join the thread and share a bit about yourself and how your pregnancy is going!

You are right and I am feeling much more positive today Smile guess I'm just finding it odd that I don't feel that pregnant yet! It all still feels a bit unreal, can't wait for a scan to meet the little bean Smile

Pekka · 24/07/2011 15:50

I live in Oxford with my fiance and our baby is due 16th of March. I'm trying to keep my legs crossed until 24th March though, as that is my fiances 30th birthday :)

suemz · 24/07/2011 15:58

Hello, I am 7 weeks along with my first baby, am really nervous as I live in Zambia and have no idea about the medical care available here, going to be very busy over the next couple of weeks getting everything sorted! Have a feeling mumsnet is going to prove invaluable to me!

worldgonemad72 · 24/07/2011 20:01

Hi all,

I was on the ttc a 2012 thread so some of you may remember me, ive done the online due date calculator and im due 4th march 2012. This will be my 3rd child. Im currently feeling as sick as a dog, my boobs are killing me, so exhausted and cant keep anything down Sad but on a brighter note we are really excited about this pregnancy and cant wait to meet our new baby Smile
My first midwife appt isn't until 31st august and my scan is booked for the 2nd of september, will be over 13 weeks by then.

Pekka · 24/07/2011 20:07

feekerry I will definitely do my best :) Have you thought about whether you'll give birth at the Spire MLU? They don't do epidurals, that scares me a little. It's so great to have another Oxford mom around!!

babybrain3 · 24/07/2011 21:43

Is anyone else absolutely loving their humongous boobage?? I am, apart from them being sore that is!!!

Reallea · 25/07/2011 09:29

Hi Feekerry and Pekka I'm due 8th march and live about 5 miles outside Oxford! Had no 1 at the JR. I had an epidural but then they had no ward beds free so I had to be sent to the spires for 24 hour obs afterwards..... It is so lovely up there!

Reallea · 25/07/2011 09:31

Wow JoZambia sounds like you've got some work to do but I'm sure you'll find you'll have some really great options available to you

NotFromConcentrate · 25/07/2011 11:51

Hello to all you March mummies!

We found out last Wednesday that I'm expecting our (surprise!) third little one Grin It has taken a few days for the new to sink in, but we're over the moon!

Not sure what my due date will be as my cycles are a bit crazy, but looks like it will be 15th March or earlier. Wish the next few weeks would just hurry along, so we can share our news with everyone!

kirsty12321 · 25/07/2011 11:53

Congratulations notfromconcentrate! Grin I just want the next 4 1/2 weeks to fly by so I can tell people!

NotFromConcentrate · 25/07/2011 12:02

Thanks Kirsty Grin

I'm glad, reading back, that I'm not the only one who's massively bloated. I don't know if the fact that this little one is No.3 makes a difference, but by the end of each day I have a massive bloated tummy, despite the baby being about the size of a grain of rice Blush

shortlady · 25/07/2011 18:27

Hi there.. I am new to talk pages, and to pregnancy...

Just five weeks, was planned but still a total shock. Spent three days in a daze and not sleeping, but feeling great now. Trying to make the most of it whilst it lasts. Due 27th March, live in Cardiff.

Not understanding many acronyms used on this site, but sure I will pick it up. Already looked up loads of things and glad to see I was not the only one to have five tests (3 negative, 2 positive but very faint line). I am fit and active so wanted to know about continuing to exercise (might hold off the running until seen the Doc). My biggest Q, was when to tell people - bad a secrets and bad at lying.. I am known to like my wine, so it's going to be a big giveaway.

Trying to eat well, and have actually lost some weight, I think the stress! Sure that will soon change if any cravings kick in. for me I imagine it will be cake, ice cream and chocolate.

Look forward to some more conversations with you all

x

babybrain3 · 25/07/2011 18:35

My unconfirmed due date is 27th too!! Will get it confirmed on Weds at my docs appt! Am so excited!!!

feekerry · 25/07/2011 19:24

Reallea and Pekka-

my friend has just given birth at the JR. she initally went to the MLU but needed an epidural so got transferred to the JR. she said the JR were really fab. she was really impressed, so either for me!!!

KikiRC · 25/07/2011 20:17

Hello folks,

Nice to hear someone is experiencing the same as me, monkeybaby Good luck with your early scan!

I've got a query for people. I'm getting quite sore breasts now, but they haven't increased dramatically in size. I'm only a 34A, and all the maternity bras I've seen are way too big. Is it really all that important to wear a special maternity bra when you're only small chested? I think my bras are fairly supportive, anyway.

And have anyone else's veins gone crazy the last week? X

feekerry · 25/07/2011 20:29

KIKIRC- are you planning to wear a maternity bra soon?? do we need to? i really have no idea. my boobs are getting a bit sore but haven't thought about a maternity bra! oh and dont worry, mine arn't massive either!!!

badgercat · 25/07/2011 21:02

In later stages of pregnancy its important not to wear an underwired bra, it blocks the milk ducts / stops them producing milk correctly. Other than that I would take it as personal choice.

Personally mine have felt like i'd had marbles sown into the edges !

Symptoms still not very strong, starting to think its all in my head now :/

babybrain3 · 25/07/2011 21:27

I've got a sleep bra, as mine are quite big and get more sore at night, so I now have a maternity sleep bra as well as a vest top with secret support.. Feeling much better!!!

pinkhyena · 25/07/2011 22:08

Jojo Mamen Bebe do these supportive crop tops that look a bit like sports bras and are fab for sleeping in.

I'm going to make my mw appointment tomorrow :) I think I had one about 7 weeks last time?
I've had a couple of days with a bit of cramping but not enough to make me worry. Other than that I haven't had any symptoms apart from tiredness but that could be due to all sorts.

eaglewings · 25/07/2011 22:52

Just discovered I'm expecting #4 on march 26th. Had mc in April (seems like lots of others have too).
As I'm 43 I am ready for the complications and already have a big tum. Is 5 weeks too early to get the maternity clothes out?
Have an urge to eat prawn cocktail crisps tonight and as we live in a village had to go to the pub to get them. Asking for a non alcoholic drink has set the tounges wagging already I expect!

Carlitawantsababy · 25/07/2011 23:07

My goodness! A big welcome to pekka, suemz, JoZambia, world Grin, notfrom, shortlady and eaglewings great to have you all with us!
I'm now so round at 5+3 that my jeans that I had to wear with a belt only just do up! Maybe I'm overdoing the eating, it's mainly healthy stuff but quite a lot of it admittedly! I'm blaming the bloat mainly but that doesn't make it any easier to hide at work!

Ive got the JoJo ones Pink not very sexy, but very comfy!!!

Carlitawantsababy · 26/07/2011 07:37

babybrain and pink, how big do the jojo ones come up? I have ordered a maternity/nursing bra (in 32 HH) to wear at night but the crop top may be more comfy, would it fit me?
