Hello! I've just found out that I'm pregnant and due on the 23rd March! I'm 29 and live in London with my husband, dog and cat. So far at 4 weeks things are going very smoothly! I'm very excited about going to the doctor (even if they don't care) as feel it will make things more real!
If you're expecting in March too please join the thread and share a bit about yourself and how your pregnancy is going!

Congratulations MrsV!!

I feel your confusion! I have also heard they try to find a heartbeat at first appointment, can any of you experienced ladies let me know if they do?

I've booked to see my midwife at what will be 7 weeks, and that seems aaages away!!

And I keep thinking I have imagined everything, is this usual?!

likelucklove · 21/07/2011 19:17

Hello!

I'm a bit late starting but have had a stressful couple of weeks!

I'm 22 and pg with my first dc. Due date is March 12th according to the midwife, have my dating scan already booked for 23rd August! :)

Super excited/scared/exhausted, but loking forward to it :) To top it all off, me and dp have decided to get married! So have a wedding to plan in 8 weeks!

Is anyone else doing the same? xx

Suprisedbuthappy · 21/07/2011 20:01

Congratulations Likelucklove! Smile

Exciting that you have your scan date, I can't wait to get mine, it seems like it will be soo long to wait so hope it comes round quickly!

Planning a wedding in 8 weeks, wow! You're going to be very busy! We have our date booked but with nearly 2 years to go I keep thinking ah i'll think about it next year!

pinkhyena · 21/07/2011 20:25

I found out i'm pg with my 2nd this morning! We were planning on trying in a couple of months so were very suprised especially as we only did it once this month, must have a very determined bean! It's my birthday tomorrow so its the best pressie I could have had. Think i'm due on the 29th but if this pregnancy goes the same way as the last it'll be early (induced because of gestational diabetes).

badgercat · 21/07/2011 21:21

carlitawantsababy

I'm prepared to bet you get there first !

With both my boys I needed to be induced at 2 weeks past my due date, my first was 4 days in hospital before he made his VERY late appearance !

Im expecting an April baby and if they sneak into march I will have a pleasant surprise Wink

feekerry · 21/07/2011 22:13

I need some reassurance ladies. . . I'm a bit worried as I have no symptoms at all. No sickness, not that tired, no sore boobs at all, no cramps- which I suppose is a positive but apart from the positive tests I have nothing else to say i'm pregnant. Everyone else seems to have symptoms. I hope everything is okay. :-(

KikiRC · 21/07/2011 22:26

Hello all, I'm 33 and found out a week ago I'm pregnant for the first time. I'm 6 weeks today, due 16th March.
Have been incredibly tired, and a constant 'awareness' of something in my uterus area, a bit like period cramps, with the occasional twinge. I think this is supposed to be the uterus slowly growing and ligaments stretching, so hopefully nothing to worry about. Also breasts a bit sore, but luckily no sickness.
Apart from my partner I haven't told anyone yet- it all seems so fragile. I know a couple of friends who have had a MC, so I'm trying to take it as easy as I can (work is frantically busy at the mo) and eating well and getting enough sleep etc.
Usually drink about 5-6 cups tea a day and have cut back to two. This could partially explain my tiredness!
Nice to be able to talk to people who are all due at the same time. Good luck everyone.
X

katiemorag2 · 21/07/2011 22:55

I'm 7 weeks, due 9th March. Have also been having period type cramps for last few days...which I've been really worried about as don't remember this last time! Not told many people as I'm 41 and aware I'm at increased risk for everything!

ZhenXiang · 21/07/2011 23:36

Congratulations and welcome to Moffit, Mrs RV, likelucklove, pinkhyena, KikiRC and katiemorag :)

For those worrying about cramping I had this last pregnancy and this one at 6-7 weeks and slightly earlier too, it was my uterus stretching. The cramps were worse this time round than with DD. If severe cramps I would see GP, but light stretchy cramps are normal as far as I know.

feekerry - feel lucky about the fact you have no symptoms, I didn't get them with DD until 6-7 weeks then was sick as a dog, you may still have that joy to come! This time round was getting sickness before I could even get a solid BFP, oh so much better when it starts later.

Carlitawantsababy · 22/07/2011 08:00

Congratulations pinkhyena! it sounds like this baby was meant to be!
badgercat this is my first, they are usually late aren't they so we may be matched yet!
feekerry I have a friend who is 25 weeks with a health baby and she still doesn't have any symptoms, she doesn't even feel pregnant! I mentioned this to my mum and she had the same with my sister and I! I know it must be worrying but try not to compare your pregnancy to others, they're all different!
likelucklove congratulations! Wowee, double whammy! DH and I got married at the end of April and although we were engaged for 9 months we only organised stuff over 2 (at the most) our wedding was very simple (very us) and I really couldn't work out what all the stress is about, we didn't experience any. Plus you can bounce ideas off us lot if you like!
kikiRC welcome! Your symptoms sound just like mine, feel very lucky not to have the sickness !
Welcome Katiemorag! I've been having the cramps since 3 days before AF was due and am 5 weeks today (Grin) it is just your uterus stretching apparently and I guess that happens at different times for everyone!

hi everyone :)
Just want a bit of reassurance if poss... I got my BFP last Wednesday night and almost immediately started to have sore, tender boobs, period-like pains and waves of a quite uncomfortable bloated feeling (not after eating, just generally). No bleeding.
Yesterday, I had no pain, tenderness or feelings like this at all. Is it possible that they could have just gone away for a few days and will be back soon? Slightly worried :(

Carlitawantsababy · 22/07/2011 10:15

broody, absolutely, if you think about it as growing and development it will not be an even course! Did you have growing pains as a teen? I would have amazingly painful legs one night then fine the next, it didn't mean I had stopped growing, just that my body was taking a break! Plus, some people don't get any symptoms and still have babies! Grin

badgercat · 22/07/2011 11:13

My 'symptoms' have all eased off today too, my boobs arent as sore and ive had cramps for the past week which have also eased.

I remember this stage from before, i think i got through a stupid amount of pregnancy tests as I didnt feel pregnant - im not far enough along to have any kind of bump but im bloated and feel fatter !

My first ever pair of maternity jeans arrived today (I lived in joggy bottoms for the previous 2 pregnancies and didnt buy any maternity clothes!) They sit below the bump and have a piece of material which covers the bump, it feels bizarre like I want to pull them up higher Confused

babybrain3 · 22/07/2011 12:06

My symptoms have disappeared too!! Hope this isn't a phantom pregnancy!!!

babybrain3 · 22/07/2011 12:50

Although, having said that I could quite easily have a long snooze on the sofa, except dc have their friends round to play so have a houseful.... Hmpf

Josie10 · 22/07/2011 12:51

Hi everyone,

I'm due with my third about 3rd March. Told Dr today which makes it feel more official to me :)! I'm new here so just wanted to say hello and join in!!

Carlitawantsababy · 22/07/2011 16:11

Hi josie congratulations and welcome! It is weird how unreal it seems, I remember a friend if mine saying that she was so relieved after her 12 week scan to know there really was a baby in there and she hadn't just made it up! Smile

feekerry · 22/07/2011 17:25

to be fair i am super super tired today. in fact exhausted!! sitting at home now with my feet up.
I GOT MY SCAN APPT THRU today!!! woohooo. sep 9th. very impressed actually as i only had my initial appt with doctor on tue and they've booked my scan already!!

babybrain3 · 22/07/2011 19:28

Ooh how exciting... I feel like a bit if a fraud, haven't got my drs appt til Weds.... I am just realising how impatient I am..

WeGotThere · 23/07/2011 10:52

Hi everyone

I got to see my tiny little grain of rice baby yesterday heartbeat and all!!!! Amazing!
Doc had referred me for an early scan because of spotting and crampy feelings earlier in the week just to make sure it wasn't ectopic. So pleased that all is well.
Feekerry i have no symptoms to speak of either and everything is absolutely fine, hope that reassures you.

All feels more real this morning :)

Carlitawantsababy · 23/07/2011 11:21

Congratulations wegotthere how wonderful!
All symptoms gone for me too as of yesterday and I'm loving it! I'm making the most of it whilst it lasts! We have friends coming over tonight and are trying to decide whether or not to tell them (haven't told anyone yet) I don't really want to have to lie to them about why I'm not drinking (I never turn down a drink!) and am sure we can trust them to keep it quiet but DH is so worried about telling people (fear of jinxing!) I hope I can persuade him as it'd be exciting to tell someone and nice to be able to enjoy the evening with a few becks blues rather than having to pretend I'm ill or something!

MrsRV · 23/07/2011 12:08

Morning ladies... Oh dear, the list of people we've told has now grown much larger than the list of people we haven't told! Sister in laws wedding yesterday and whole of hubby's family now know... After a day of noticing I wasn't drinking, that or they were badgering us to have babies, we confirmed their suspicions this morning. And of course it was only fair that my family be told too... So only work and a few friends left to tell! Oops. Grin

p.s I have a bit of cramping and sore boobs now and again but no sickness or overwhelming tiredness... Go through stages of being really worried but hubby's mum says she sailed through both of her pregnancies with absolutely no symptoms at all... Maybe this babies genes have something to do with it!

monkeybaby2 · 23/07/2011 20:35

@kikiRC, your post could have been written by me! Am also 33 and pg with my first. Am 7+5 and can't believe it's real. We're planning an early scan on Mon at 8 weeks to reassure myself.

happycamper23 · 23/07/2011 21:19

Hello, I am expecting DC2 in March. Only found out last night and am only 4 weeks pregnant and for some reason, this time I am really, really nervous! I guess its because I know so early this time and I know its going to be a long wait :) I have also heard lots of stories over the last 2 years......but am trying hard to stay positive and not to worry!

Anyhow I am due on the 28th of March and its really nice to see so many others going through the same things :)

Carlitawantsababy · 24/07/2011 11:05

Welcome monkeybaby and happycamper and congratulations to you both! monkeybaby how exciting re the scan, it'll be lovely to see the little one. happycamper I'm sticking with positive thinking all the way, it's fine to be this lucky and this happy! Smile
