Found out on sunday that were expecting our first baby in march!! Some online due date calculators say the 8th and some say the 10th so im not quite sure which one is right!!

Ive got my 1st doctors appointment tomorrow to confirm things

Has anyone else got the BFP and wants to celebrate?

stuff and reallea I too keep waking at 5:30 with a full bladder and then can't get back to sleep. I'm so tired it's not true! Went to the doctor this morning and she said she wasn't going to test a sample as she thinks I'm capable of testing myself! I said I thought she would test to make it official and she said no! Me and oh felt a bit deflated! So I have bought 2 more tests just to make sure! Also I was due a smear and she's gonna do it for me next week. She said there is no risk to the pregnancy. So I'm not feeling too happy with the doc at the moment!

pixelpeeper · 05/07/2011 12:06

stupidly I went to the gym this morning and am now knackered, and ready to sleep.

I've got the right hump today. I hate my job (the 9-5, not the photography) and I'd really rather not be here.

ShaggingProducesResults · 05/07/2011 13:12

pixel I feel your pain. My 9-5 is bloody awful and whilst I am delighted with my BFP, I've realised that it ties me to this crappy place until I go on maternity leave!

MN keeps me sane though (that and browsing baby related websites creating my wish list!!!)

MorningCoffee · 05/07/2011 14:28

So sorry Morningcoffee.

Reallea · 05/07/2011 19:57

Oh morningcoffee life can be so shit sometimes. Makes you so fed up as to why you even got the BFP in the first place. Good luck for a late spring/early summer baby.

pixelpeeper · 06/07/2011 08:09

feeling royally shit today.
Woke up at 4.20am because chickens squawking for food. Little bastards. I could forgive them if out of the 5 more than one of them was laying. Bastards.
Bastards.

Bastards.

ShaggingProducesResults · 06/07/2011 09:04

That is crap pixel :( I know nothing about chickens - why is only one laying eggs?

Also having a shit day here. My colleague is off sick (oh how I wish I was at home tucked up too!) and I spent last night receiving abusive messages from our (now ex!!) cleaner telling me that I am a bitch and that she hopes she hopes karma means something horrible happens to me...... what a lovely thing to hear when you are irrationally panicking about the early days of being pregnant! Makes me a bit uncomfortable about her having a set of keys to our home.....!

Lets hope that our days get better!!!

pixelpeeper · 06/07/2011 09:08

shagging what the fuck is her beef?! I'd be worried too if she had my keys. Why is she saying that?

only 1 is laying because (out of 5) 1 is broody (wants to raise eggs, not lay them), 1 is laying softies (she needs more calcium), 1 is laying and 2 are too young

ShaggingProducesResults · 06/07/2011 09:21

ahhh - I can sympathise with the broody hen!!

Fuck knows what her problem is........ what's worse is that she uses such awful text speak it took me forever to work out what the hell she was saying!!! There are big burly men working on the garden today so if she decides to pay a visit I am sure that they will phone me!

pixelpeeper · 06/07/2011 09:33

anybody else suffering tight trousers? want to know if I am symptomatic or just eating too much waitrose ice cream.

ShaggingProducesResults · 06/07/2011 09:36

Ummmm - mine feel a bit snug on the thigh but am note sure if that's because they are freshly washed! Trying very hard to be good and not eat junk but my nausea breakfasts consist of Lucozade and salted popcorn so it's not great!!!

Reallea · 06/07/2011 09:45

Omg shagging I would change the locks- what did you do to upset her?

I could not survive without my cleaner so I always go out of my way to keep her sweet.

I have been totally bloated for a week so def felt the tight trousers but it seems to be calming down a bit now

Docs this eve to tell him and get a scan booked in. So here is my dilemma, what would you do? I have a 12 week scan booked later this month for when I had chem pregnancy last month... Shall I be naughty and go for it anyway at what will be 8 weeks? As doc will obviously be booking me a new one. Or shall I fess up and tell doc and get it cancelled?

Reallea · 06/07/2011 09:53

Oh and today my beakfast was Biscuit Biscuit two jammie dodgers because they were smiling at me

ShaggingProducesResults · 06/07/2011 09:56

Hmmmm - I thought about it but the cost of that (and the 6 sets of keys we'd need to have recut for various family members!) would put me off.

She had let me down at the last minute a few times by illiterate text message with no real appology or offer to do another date so I spoke to the agency about her and they offered someone else. I took them up on it and they advised her that we would be using someone else. Then the messages started coming.

I realise it might sound a bit harsh but it's a service that we are paying for (we pay the agency even if she doesn't turn up in addition to her fee) and having let me down twice in 4 weeks I was a bit pissed off!!! Particularly as the 2 times she let me down were when we had guests coming to stay for the weekend and I spent my Friday evening trying to clean the house ready for their arrival!!!

They have sorted a replacement for me though, thank God!!

Not sure what I would do about the scan TBH. Can they see everything that they need to at 8 weeks or are you better off waitung until 12 weeks? If they couldn't see enough at 8 weeks would they get you in again at 12 weeks, thereby giving you an bonus scan?!?!? You can see how clueless I am about all of this. I don't even know if my booking appointment and scan happen at the same time!!

pixelpeeper · 06/07/2011 09:59

at 8 weeks they can - check for blood clots, some uterine abnormalities, check for heartbeat, and date you. Amongst other things.

ShaggingProducesResults · 06/07/2011 10:00

Mmmm - Jammie dodgers. Not had them in AGES..... not since I discovered I was gluten intolerent.... Envy although they did say that getting pregnant could reverse that so at some point I'm going to go and order myself a nice big pizza and see what happens!!!

Reallea · 06/07/2011 11:45

Reckon I would also be issued a 12 week scan as doc knew I had mcd and the scan date came thru after that...he prob would not even know if the scan date ever csme thru! so would not do 8 week scan instead, just use it as a bonus scan really.... Maybe that is really cheeky...
