So this is where you've all been hiding!

For those who dont know me, bFP was last Sunday on 11dpo and chem pregnancy last month so been gusset glimpsing almost hourly all week. One week in and still seem to be pg as just did the other clearblue digital from the pack and am now getting the 2-3 weeks come up so am finally feeling a bit more positive! maybe I will now go and tell doc.

Binky, am in a similar boat to you as this will be #2 and DS was 1 on 19th May. We basically stepped up the ttc on his first birthday and if last month had worked out, age diffence would have been 21 months which is the same as my brother and I are. We are very close, my mum doesn't think
it was that hard because he wasn't that jealous when I came along as he wasn't yet two. So anyway am hoping this one will work out as 22 months also seems a good age gap to me.

Ok so adding to stats;

Reallea--DD4 should have been 1 on 20th may but couldn't be bothered with being born until 7th june. I'm quite looking forward to the 21month gap, so far I've done 2yr gap, 15m gap and 12yr gap-pluses and minuses for all but I'm very much enjoying my '2nd family' and have had no jeolousy from the older ones.
I'm still breastfeeding DD4 and will probably contine to feed when the next one arrives-i think it will ease jeolousy and I'm not ready to stop just yet, if I stopped later in the pregnancy I think she would be even more jealous as she would understand that baby took her milk.

Its nearly 3am and I am awake. Have the most awful sore throat, my voice has disappeared and I'm struggling to breathe. I'm so paranoid (yes, gusset checking) that I'm worried about taking any medication. Does anyone know any non-medicated sore throat cures?

allhailtheaubergine · 03/07/2011 08:43

Hello preggos.

I caught a whiff of the dishwasher this morning and promptly threw up in the watering can I was holding at the time, much to the fascination and delight of my children.

Am about 5 weeks with dc#3. Due end of Feb but I tend to have extraordinarily long pregnancies so all being well, this will certainly be a March baby.

Nice to meet you all.

ZhenXiang · 03/07/2011 09:35

Hi Reallea and allhail - congratulations to you both :)

stuff - sounds like you have the same virus as me, have been miserable for last two days. Best non-medicated sore throat cure that I have come up with is to squeeze half a lemon/orange and add several teaspoon full of honey. If it goes into the head as mine has done add some cinnamon stick, cloves, ginger and a slice of chilli and steep in hot water.

Reallea · 03/07/2011 10:44

Oh dear are you not supposed to take paracetamol when preggo? Thought it was ok and took one yesterday for a STINKING headache that was threatening to ruin our day out.. Although it was one with caffeine in it! BF's DH went and bought them especially for me, i didnt want to be a fussy moo and I figured I haven't given up coffee yet so it would be ok... I'd just told them I was preggo cos she was trying to give me an ibuprofen and I stupidly said 'I can't take ibuprofen at the moment'. Well it was as much as holding up a sign saying pregnant... But I would tell them if I had mc so the only bad thing about telling them was I don't want to jinx anything!

Boobz · 03/07/2011 15:00

HELLLLOOOO PEEEEOPLE!

I'm Boobz and I'm 4+4 today, due on 7 March. I have 2 DC already, Penelope 2yrs 3mo, and Connie 1yo exactly. For a little while, I will have 3 under 3! Gah!

I am so pleased I got in on this club early. I was glued to my first ante natal club (Due March 2009) but couldn't keep up with the Due June 2010 lot! This time I WILL stick at it and get to know all you lovely ladies.

I am a bit rubbish at remembering who is who unless there is some little nugget of information I can attach to their username (pixelpeeper has done it with chickens!) so here's a little thing about me so you can forever put me in your memories (or at least until we're all too busy to get back online in March 2012 when babes have arrived!) -- I currently live in Sudan with my husband who works for the FCO, and will be returning to the UK in Feb 2012 to have this baby as I want another homebirth (Pen and Con were both born at home). Am a homebirth nut! Tell me something about you so I can remember you!

Am adding myself to the list, but also putting it in arrival order (sorry, bit OCDish)

Crikey, just noticed you're on number 5 stuffthenonsense! Hats off to you...

ShaggingWithIntent · 03/07/2011 15:03

Hi all!!

Is it just me or is anybody else completely shattered?!? It's my first so I have no past experience of being updiffed. Was expecting the nausea and exhaustion in a few weeks but at 4+1???

I went for a bike ride with DH this morning and he sent me off for a bath and rest afterwards as I was a white as a sheet and feeling really rough. It's got me out of painting the garden shed though so can't complain too much!!

Hope everyone is coping with the diff-friendly cold/flu/bug remedies!!

ShaggingWithIntent · 03/07/2011 15:07

sorry x post!!!
Little bit of info about me....
I'm the one who has a husband living in a different City from Monday to Friday. I live in the South West and he's in London. It made TTC a challenge so I was a bit of a FF nut!!!

pommedechocolat · 03/07/2011 15:17

Aubers!! Vomiting in the watering can sounds awfully neat. Good work.

I am SHATTERED shagging. Utterly utterly pooped. Don't remember feeling quite this bad with dd. No real nausea yet so this exhausted-ness is my only real symptom at the moment.

I am just hanging on for the second trimester - I loved that last time round.

I am worried that I will have no interesting or quirky fact to attach to me boobz. I am going to think of one and report back.

MrsCog · 03/07/2011 16:22

Hi everyone - 4+1 today! Feel less fraudulent now I'm past AF being due! shagging not so shattered today, but a couple of days last week I was constantly tired - was off work on Friday and had 3 daytime naps!! Other than that the only other things I've noticed are v rounded boobs (a bit proud of them to be honest), and a craving for fruit pastille ice lollies - haven't found one yet though - does anyone know if you can still get them?

I also bought a couple more poundland tests so that I can keep reassuring myself (I know this is silly but I still can't quite believe it!)

pixelpeeper · 03/07/2011 16:50

shagging - yes totally normal to feel like a bit fat pile of exhausted death at the beginning.
I got to the point where I would retire to the office loo for a little sleep, as raising a glass of water to my lips just seemed like far too much effort.

I went out earlier to buy a quarantine cage for my poorly chicken and ended up coming home with 2 guinea pigs.

babydust27 · 03/07/2011 16:52

im really really tired too, woke up at 10am then for a nap at 12 and i have only just woken up!!!

Ive started feeling sick, mainly in the afternoons at the moment, i dont think it is helping that it is so warm here in Nottingham and theres not much of a bre
Id been reading some bits on the internet and lots of people recommend ginger nuts biscuits to help with sickness, i mentioned it to my dp this morning and he came back from morrisons with 6 packets!!!!

We told our parents on friday, im only 4 +3 but it was playing on my mind loads and i feel loads more relaxed now. I did chicken out though and asked my mum to tell dad once i had left!! Both sets of parents are really pleased for us and have promised to keep the news to themselves.

I am only going to be 4 weeks tomorrow, feeling sicky in am and have to have something to eat asap in morning and got a matalicky taste in my mouth, quite irritable is well, am lovin rich tea biscuits at mo.

stuffthenonsense · 03/07/2011 17:43

Hey boobz, I'm a home birther too! (Although the last one ended up in hospital/scbu after being 18 days overdue--and in weather like this too)

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is still doing pregnancy tests, I guess I will stop when I get to the G.P. But gaaah I am annoying myself.

In my last pregnancy I did aquanatal classes and prenatal yoga, not sure yet how I will manage to get to classes with a baby so my pregnancy resolution this time is to have a good walk every day, even when I am doing my excellent whale impression at the end.
Does anyone else have a resolution for their pregnancy?

Boobz · 03/07/2011 18:00

Oh fuck. I just wrote a long reply and it disappeared.

Can't be arsed to write it again. FYI it name checked everyone and was very witty.

Pff.

allhailtheaubergine · 03/07/2011 18:18

I have a pregnancy resolution: pelvic floor exercises.
