Rub the bottom of your bump katee. They're attracted to the vibrations and touch so move towards it.

Dynababy · 24/06/2011 16:40

I've escaped the office early today on half day .. much deserved after this week though its been a mare .. only ONE more week at work though Grin

COAF.. cervical shortening pains .. sounds promising! What does it fee like? I seriously hope you pop first I'd have to be waaay early to beat you so cheering you on, I'd like a rest before popping as working waay too much have stupid SPD is v painful.

Grin at hair / scar trauma Valinna I had a random long blonde hair growing halfway down my neck .. do you reckon pregnancy hormones are sending hair wild across the land!?

I'm the size of a baby hippo now and would LOVE someone to tell me I looked small .. I guess we pregnant ladies just can't win any which way!

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 17:43

Frak - I could be completely making this up but did you use an Epi-No?

I have no idea how these hairs get so long before we realise them! Home now...still avoiding the tweezers!

I think (and beware, totally TMI Grin) my right boob may have leaked a little. No damp patches but my nip had a yellow crust on it Blush In general boob news mine have been so itchy. Don't think it is expansion as they don't seem that much bigger but I am only a step away from taking sand paper to them!!

Dyna I cannot even acknowledge your last week of work....I have 5 more to go. It makes me want to weep!

fraktious · 24/06/2011 18:07

I didn't but some people on the April thread did. With the benefit of hindsight I can see it might have been beneficial!

Eskarina · 24/06/2011 18:22

Blush Blush
Have just sneezed and peed myself. Must get better at pelvic floor exercises. Fortunately it wasn't much and had just arrived home so could sort out easily but still BlushBlushBlush

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 24/06/2011 18:36

Katee my LO still has a foot in my rib cage even now, and it dropped last week! Yesterday even the MW felt it's foot.

Nickel haven't forgotten about/ignored the book, will just have to wait until next pay day as taking DH to the supermarket is expensive .

Pluck the hair Vallinna. I have a couple that I still get after DS Sad

Congratulations BB! Great names x

BrassicaBabe · 24/06/2011 21:10

Not sure I can manage a birth story from iPhone. Not downloaded MN app yet. I'm still in hosp after a CS on Thursday am. Waters broke at 10pm on Wednesday following a case of probably doing too much during the day by walking around the county show all day.

Both babies still in special care but for routine type problems rather than scarey ones.

Will post later. Don't want to risk someone phoning and losing my post Grin

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 22:45

Glad to hear all is as 'planned' - if it can be. Wishing you all a very speedy stay and return home x

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 22:48

BTW had no idea about the MN app! Just downloaded. Brilliant!

nickelbabe · 25/06/2011 09:47

never take men to the supermarket, coaaf Grin
Don't worry, I'll keep it by for you. :)

Esk - i keep doing that - it's not good because i'm only 18 weeks, and that shouldn't be happening yet! (but i confess I CBA to do any of the pelvic floor exercises Blush )

vallinna - both of mine have crusts on them. The right one more than the left. I tried to resist the urge to pick, but I did yesterday - the left oe was fie, came straight off, but the right one kind of stung a bit and the crust wouldn't come off (worried now it was scabby skin and not crust... ConfusedBlush )

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 25/06/2011 09:58

I never normally do because I know he costs to much to take, but I need him for trolley duty. I know I could shop online, but I like chosing my own fresh produce and rummaging in the reduced meat section.

Well my cervix ache has so far come to nothing more than all the dishes washed dried and put away. Got a bit excited at a small pant snot explosion that I thought might be the start of the show, but no, it wasn't [hmm wayTMI sorry). 41 weeks today and I was in proper labour with DS on this day.

I really must stop thinking about this and think about non baby stuff (yeah right)

Baby2b · 25/06/2011 10:27

Just added the mumsnet app too. So much easier! Smile

No boob leakage here, but having to be careful about sneezing Blush. I really need to do more of the exercises.

Are those down south ready for the heatwave today and tomorrow? Envy I think Edinburgh is meant to get to a crazy 17degrees by t-time.

Got a nice girls brunch planned this morning, so I had better get ready. Then I'm going shopping for labour bag items. I'm pretty organised but can't seem to face this part...denial maybe?! I think someone else said they got a telling off for not doing this? When should you have it done by (apart from the obvious answer). Grin

Baby2b · 25/06/2011 10:29

coaf sending labour thoughts your way. I have to say I think you are sounding very patient. X

BrassicaBabe · 25/06/2011 10:30

Watching and waiting for coaaf and ttl updates....

Babies still in special care but doing well.

On the def upside I can now sleep on my back, go for hours without weeing and hug my husband without having to turn sideways on Grin

BrassicaBabe · 25/06/2011 10:33

In that case off to kill my download allowance further my trying to download MN app with no wireless access Hmm

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 25/06/2011 11:08

I don't feel patient. I feel fat and uncomfortable and soo over this now. (baby come out please). TTL is awfully quiet

B2b I still haven't properly packed my hospital bag. All the baby stuff is ready, but stuff for me, well I'm making sure my clothes go throught the was first and am kinda hoping that the hospital will give me a hospital gown for the birth as I don't want to buy something just for that (can't afford to either). I have made sure the camera battery is fully charged and my notes are in the bag, so I'm kinda good to go.

Good to hear things are going well BB

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 25/06/2011 11:09

Of course I could get my arse out of bed and go for a walk, but it's raining...

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 25/06/2011 11:36

stuff for the birth - I'm sure they will give you a gown, but what about an old baggy teeshirt?
maybe one of DP's?

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 25/06/2011 11:41

DH is smaller than me, so not really an option sadly.

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 25/06/2011 11:45

yeah, I have that problem too! [annoyed but not quite angry]
Hmm

BrassicaBabe · 25/06/2011 11:51

Hmm MN app installed but wont run on phone signal alone. Found ive got net access on hosp tv screen, but it runs like a 3legged dog!!

Hope things get moving soon for you now coaaf

takethatlady · 25/06/2011 15:59

Sorry you're getting fed up coaaf. Hope you manage to get a chocolate cake recipe pronto ...

No movement here. Just went out this morning for a nice long walk with DH. Even went to an art gallery. Was kind of hoping that being in an inappropriate place having walked a couple of miles would see my waters gushing all over the sixteenth-century Italian art, but nothing ...

Lovely to hear the babies are doing well bb :)

Eskarina · 25/06/2011 22:11

BB any idea how long your beautiful babies are likely to be in special care? Hope you get them home for cuddles soon.

Sorry there's no movement yet TTL and COAAF. Love the idea of waters going in inappropriate places. I have heard rumours of pg women hanging around in John Lewis/Mothercare in case they get vouchers or something for going into labour instore - but I'm sure they're just an urban myth.

We ordered our pushchair today Grin. It's a bit of a faff though as I wanted to get John Lewis to price match a package deal. In theory they will but because I wanted the limited edition purple version they're not sure. AND because they don't have everything in stock (not a problem) they can only price match on they day that they do have everything, so if the price goes up in the meantime then tough luck. I may end up having to have the red (which DH favours) rather than the purple but that won't match my pretty change bag Angry [petty] [stamps feet]. I think DH rues the day he said I could buy this particular bag Blush
