If postgrads are graduate does that mean we get a doctorate in JSing?

takethatlady · 23/06/2011 13:10

Definitely. PhDs in shagging for every new mum :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't imagine myself not pregnant any more, I've got so used to it Grin by the time I get to your stage coaaf and ttl I shall probably be doing everything under the sun not to be tho! Fingers crossed for movement soon coaaf.

takethatlady · 24/06/2011 09:01

katee I feel exactly like that. I am getting impatient to meet the baby and for all the waiting to be over but I really don't believe that I will ever be anything but a pregnant lady ever again! I feel like I just have a big belly now and life is not about to change at all Shock

nickelbabe · 24/06/2011 10:12

don't worry ttl it'll be over soon :)

I had my bellydance class last night and I was so chuffed that I didn't feel exhausted the whole way through! In fact, for most of it, I felt perfectly normal (apart from not being able to bend forward because of this lumpy bump at the front!) Grin

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 11:47

I'm completely the opposite! I have never really felt pregnant. Ok, there is now the bump but it really isn't that big even now - although if one more random fucker tells me how small I am looking (always in a negative way...) I will thump them Grin I guess I have been 'lucky' with no morning sickness or other symptoms and am carrying on pretty much as normal, despite lack of booze and a real craving for parma ham - which I ate regularly until about 14 weeks when I realised it was on the 'shouldn't' list Blush

I just want LO here for huge cuddles!

takethatlady · 24/06/2011 12:27

vallinna I get the same about my bump even now. A hairdresser looked at me last week and said in a horrified tone, 'you're 10 days away? But you look normal!!!'. I almost thought she didn't believe me that I was more than 6 months pregnant!

I have really enjoyed pregnancy and life has been pretty normal (again, despite lack of alcohol). Ready for the new phase now though ...

Go nickel with the belly dancing. Saw a reprehensible little man on the Vanessa Show yesterday Blush who said he thought it was morally wrong for women to flaunt their bumps while pregnant because nobody wants to see that. Almost prompted me to go to a belly dancing class right there and then and then take my new skills out onto the street half-naked Wink

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 24/06/2011 13:02

Ohhh Vallinna you're looking HUGE! Grin

I'm sad. I've just eaten the last piece of ham, so I can't have another ham sandwhich. 2 just isn't enough.

Getting cervix shortening discomfort. Just thought I'd share.

LOL COAAF - I love you Grin Glad to hear there is movement of sorts. Sending contracting vibes your way. My LO is trying to kick/punch (who knows which is which end Blush his way out through mine at the moment. Another indication of his thoughts on my slouchy posture at work!

TTL I am hoping to survive until after the birth without watching daytime TV. Deep down I know I will probably make it until the Tuesday Grin I often get the "You're only x weeks?? Are you sure" comment Hmm or "I was huge at your stage" to which I very nearly said "Well, you are a good two dress sizes on me any way..." Didn't....!

nickelbabe · 24/06/2011 13:21

Grin - it's morally wrong to flaunt the bump??
Shock
ridiculous!

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 13:36

Ummmmm, Blush

Have a small scar on my jaw line and just found a huge dark hair and a huge blonde hair growing out of it. Scared to pluck them out - no idea why, the scar is over 3 years old so it's not going to open up.

takethatlady · 24/06/2011 13:39

vallinna I have a mole under my chin out of which a hair has started growing. It got to about an inch before DH asked me when I was going to get rid of it Blush

Plucking is the only answer ...

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 15:08

Will concur the fear when I get home tonight....which may be sooner rather than later as the office is dead. I have done some stupid hours this week so feel fully justified having a cheeky Friday...may leave it until 4 though!

vallinnapod · 24/06/2011 15:09

Concur?! I will agree with the fear but I may try to conquer it also...!

KateeTheBump · 24/06/2011 16:00

Grin good luck vallinna

now does anyone have any good tips on how to dislodge a 24 week old baby from the inside of your ribs? ouch.

Baby2b · 24/06/2011 16:31

katee I'm frequently doing all manner of stretches and tummy rubbing to get little one too move. It's very uncomfortable isn't it?!

Blush I got really emotional last night after reading about the arrival of the twins. My poor dh couldn't understand what was wrong. Think it was the thought of everyone moving to the next stage. My hormones must be all over the place.
