Shock and Grin esk at turning your waters to profit Grin. Clever ladies - I'd never have thought of that! Did have some mild contractions last night though and I'm going to John Lewis later for coffee, so here's hoping!

Don't think the contractions meant anything - they weren't that strong at all and they've petered out now.

What's the pushchair?

esk me too ... Love Hearts, Refreshers and especially Gaviscon all work wonders :)

fraktious · 27/06/2011 10:16

Which bag do you have esk?

Fingers crossed for those waiting! I refused to go to the supermarket for the last few weeks in case my waters went there. In the end they went only a little bit before DS arrived!

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 10:22

I'm planning to wear a big nappy in my last month. just in case

vallinnapod · 27/06/2011 10:23

B2B me too. I can heartly (haha) recommend Setlers Tums over Gaviscon [bleurgh] They are so nice I have to stop eating them like sweets Blush - sory of Refreshers without the extreme fizz!

Oh TTL fingers crossed Grin

I finall plucked the scar hair last night and then made the mistake of fake tanning immediately afterwards - stung like a good 'un!

I am feeling a bit odd. Emotionally up in the air as I think we are moving on Friday. All great, for the best etc but I keep getting upset at leaving our flat - really silly as quite looking forward to the stint at my Mum's and then on to our new place. Hormones eh? Last night I just couldn't relax, sounds so pathetic, just a bit heart racy and agitated. Not much baby movement either which was worrying me. Listened to my PG relaxation CD and finally got to sleep. 2 dreams involving Daniel Craig - so can't complain (although he was fully clothed in both Wink) This morning felt better but now feeling 'funny' again. Almost a little panicky. Completely unlike me. Very, very hot on my way to work and still no significant baby movement. Think he may have turned back to back as my bump is way less solid than it has been, but that made me think I should feel kicks even more?

Someone please kipper me?

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 10:25

I've started not to be able to sleep on my back - even lying down on the settee, it just feels very uncomfortable and heavy on my spine [grrr]

and it's too frikking hot today! Angry

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 10:25

oh, sorry

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 27/06/2011 10:49

I love being pregnant in hot weather (minimum of cothes to struggle into, no shoes etc). Which is why it isn't hot where I am no doubt. SadAngry and lot of Envy!

And yes I'm still here.

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 27/06/2011 10:50

PS Vallinna, I would kipper you, but I'd probably just eat it instead.

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 11:03
Hmm I still have to wear clothes, and the only ones that fit me are the ones katee sent me - I don't like wearing skirts in this weather (waistbands do my head in at the moment) so it's a choice of 2 dresses. although, I did wear one of my own posh dresses yesterday - made less posh by the fact that I now have this humoungous bra, and it was showing over the neckline!
nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 11:05

Just had news a lady from church has had her baby.
the middle name is James, like our first choice first name.
I told DH by text, and he replied "I see James has crept in there again" - then that made me worry about if someone I know chooses James (as first name) before mine's born! Then what would I do?! Shock
this might have been a lucky escape!

fraktious · 27/06/2011 11:11

No kipper. If you're worried get it checked.

nickel I put stuff aside to send you and, um, well, forgot. Send me your address and I'll post them to you. How many weeks are you?

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 11:12

aww, thank you.
I will do Grin

I'm now on 18 weeks.
I think i still looks fat, and pie-ridden, but DH keeps telling me I look pregnant (but I'm sure he's just saying that)

fraktious · 27/06/2011 11:14

There's one wonderfully concealing dress. I didn't tell work until past 20 weeks... Then a couple of bump emphasising ones!

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 11:29

cool Grin

I don't mind showing my bump - especially when I feel tired or funny, then I show it off so that noone thinks i'm just being a lazy cow.
having said that, I'm finding I can't hide it much - when I pull my stomach muscles right in, it's flat above my waist and bump sticking out below! Grin

vallinnapod · 27/06/2011 12:37

Sitting in the MFAU waiting to be seen Sad Probably just over hot and overreacting but would rather be Blush than have a horrible 'what if' moment.

Some movement while sitting here (typical!) buy still less than normal so very glad I made the (£50 taxi round journey Shock) trip (had to go via home to get my notes!) Loads of ladies in front of me so will update later.

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 12:39

good luck.
:)

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 27/06/2011 12:46

Good luck Vallinna. Fingers crossed your little man is just hot and sleepy.

Nickel what are stomach muscles?

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 12:54

Grin hahahaha!
you probably don't have any anymore - but I dance once a week, remember, so mine are tip-top [tongue]

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 27/06/2011 13:25

Just you wait til you're 41+ weeks gone, then see if you a) still have stomach muscles and b) can dance for a full session.

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 13:29

i'm guessing no to both of those!! Grin

fraktious · 27/06/2011 13:38

If you do it throughout you will nickel. I did a full gym session the day I went into labour (and the day before, and the Friday before that which was my 4th that week having previously averaged 2/3 per week). You and your stomach muscles adjust as you go through. You might need to take it a bit easier but recovery should be quick. I was back taking it easy at 3 weeks after birth and 2 months later I'm pretty much back to where I was before my fitness addiction even with infrequent gym visits.

takethatlady · 27/06/2011 13:45

Good luck vallinna always better safe than sorry. I'm sure as soon as you've paid the taxi driver the £50 the baby will start his football practice Smile

nickelbabe · 27/06/2011 14:18

thanks frak [tongue out to coaaf]
Grin

KateeTheBump · 27/06/2011 14:25

I don't think I have any tummy muscles, which is why my bump looks so huge Wink I will be interested to see how I'm measuring next week, cos I can't quite work out where the fundus is, no matter how much I prod!

Hope all well vallinna fingers crossed its just the heat or a different position. Oh how these babies make us worry!

I made it to the 6 month mark yesterday! Time definitely going faster round here. Off to Paris on Thursday, hurrah!! Grin

vallinnapod · 27/06/2011 14:38

All fine here. 10 movements + in the 25 mins I was monitored....typical. Very glad I went though. It was nice sitting in a quite room listening to his heart for 25 mins to be honest Blush

Just need to relax a bit. TBH (and I am sorry COAAF) it is so bloody hot here that can't have helped. My argument was I get hot and sweaty at the gym and he doesn't slow down but that is only for an hour at a time.

Haven't gone back to work, trying for a little nap before ante-natal tonight.
