I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow! More than halfway especially considering both the DDs were early (DD1 2.5 weeks early, DD2 4 days early). DD3 is more active than DD1 was in utero, but not as manic as DD1 was!

Congatulations lalababy most little boys like dolls and play kitchens too you know! You can always dress him in bow ties a la Dr Who Grin

DarciesMum, we're due the same day! Halfway mark for me too yesterday, scan on wednesday!
Boo on your chesty cough, I've had a blocked nose the entire pregnancy.

OiMissus, I lurve the name Gabriel!

Mopsy, have a great weekend, we've got a bottle of champers in the fridge that has been calling my name the entire time (I didn't drink much before I was pregnant but now, it would be lovely to have an ice cold glass of bubbly)!

Figgy, fingers crossed you get two weeks without baby, bet you're counting down the days to the 25th!

lala & cheaptrick, congratulations on the scan results! Lala I know how you feel, we're both thinking it's a boy (we've been calling him HIM since day 1) so it will be weird if our little boy is sans penis!

I'm going to add myself to the queue of those whos bum is expanding Shock this didn't happen when pregnant with my DD!

Giddy giddy giddy! Everyone's getting the Friday feeling, everyone is posting good news and lala you're not horrible, these feelings and questions are perfectly normal - yes, we have a few years yet before our houses are completely taken over by sports!
And extra special giddy news for me... the girl who came to view our house is sorting her finanaces and going to get mortgage advice and then is going to put in an offer! Hurrah! Grin
Maybe we will be able to start on the nursery quite soon... Fingers crossed!

Congratulations on the scans!

awomancalledhorse we're convinced we're having a girl. I won't be disappointed if it's another boy but I will be very surprised.

darcies maybe the expanding bum is a boy thing??? (Is that a silver lining?)

At this rate we'll be on a new thread by the end of the day!

Figgy My last day at work is 25th November too. DD was born exactly on 39 weeks.

AWCH Its cool your due same day as me - do you think we will make it to that date or go over? I feel great at the moment apart from the cough. Hopefully your blocked nose won't stay for the rest of the pregnancy.

Lala Congrats on a having a boy.

Thanks msbuggy and Awomancalledhorse ... I was just being silly anyway. Plus, my favourite colour is blue anyway :) And this way DH can be responsible for toy purchases :)

Thanks Darices! And I can add to the confirmation that expanding bums = boys!

Oimissus This is fab news... Yipee... I hope it all happens quick as can be. DH and I exchanged today and complete on our purchase next friday.
I can't wait... we were quite unfortunate in that process was miserable and took over 4 months!!! I can't believe that we will finally be in our own place and not renting anymore... and I can paint and redecorate to my heart's content!

congrats lala I am sure in a very short while you will be thrilled it's a boy - I think it's entirely normal to feel a stab of disappointment when you were thinking it was a girl. We both think ours is a boy, if it turns out to be a girl it will be weird. My arse is big enough to park a bike in - which may indicate a boy? Ugh I need it to STOP expanding!

great news from everyone today - yay! have a great weekend everyone!

Congrats lala and Cheaptrick on exciting scan news! OiMissus - that's brilliant news, hope things run smoothly from this point!

My mum said she def had the expanding bum thing with my bro but not with the 2 girls - she wasn't sure if that was because he was the 3rd and her body was a little older though.

Anyone else having problems sleeping/getting into comfortable position in bed? Any suggestions for how to improve things? I always did a fair bit of tossing and turning but now moving around is much more of a palava and I'm keeping hubby awake too. Oh well....good preparation for sleep deprivation to come!

Oh lala - congrats on the imminent decorating! - Exchanging and completing - it makes it all seem real... I've lived in my current house for almost 15 years! Bought when 23 and fresh out of Uni, it'll be weird to leave, but it's time.

Congrats Lala so another boy for the group, dont feel bad about being a bit disappointed i have known for 2 weeks and still am there to be honest. I know i will come round in the end and wont not love him Im telling myself that DH will be better with a boy he can teach it cricket and footie while i can still take him swimming and the like. I will even confess to crying at the next catalogue the other day when looking at the little girls modelling the clothes that is how sad i am. Just back from my rescan and everything fine he is still very much clearly a he and i have to say even in the last hour that double check has made me a bit more enthusiatic, it will come for you too.

Bluebells II sleep on my side leaning forward (halfway b/w side and on stomach) with a pillow under my chest (so the belly isn't pushed into the bed) makes it a bit easier. I have heard that lying on side with a pillow between knees and one each tucked around the lower back and under the belly provide support too. Else you can look into a pregnancy pillow.

Figgy It is comforting to know that I am not the only one! I think you are right the DHs will certainly be better with boys running around and playing sport. On the plus side, my sister reminded me that her girls are always hanging for dad... and lil boys always hanging for mum. Plus if our second ones are girls then big brother can take care of his sister :)

lala please don't think I was responsible! Me and my friend wanted to find a house to rent precisely so we could party, it was my mum who said "why rent? you have a job. Buy" - My house has seen much mischief! Me and Stu got together 3 years ago... before then I had 12 years of mischief. Grin
Re the outfit lala is this for you, or the baby? Wink

lalababy I have been banned from dressing DD3 in red and green only. I have knitted some very lovely red and green cardigans though.

We're decorating the spare bedroom as a playroom this weekend, the toys downstairs are getting a bit overwhelming (she says, as she had to climb over stuff to get to the computer!) and it will be good to have downstairs a bit clearer.

OiMissus congrats (hopefully) on the offer!

Bluebells, squatter practises karate from 11pm-2am everynight, but I find a pillow under my feet, one tucked between my legs (lying on the left side) really helps me.

lalal, the baby in the picture doesn't look too happy to be in it! We bought a bundle of clothes off eBay and luckily there was a next tshirt with Rudolph on, so that's christmas sorted (provided it comes on time).

Darciesmum, I fully expect that we'll both go into labour Christmas morning! I would like it to be a little early (just because DH has booked leave from the 12th December...it's just so hard for him to get time off over X-mas, and the 5 days paternity is barely worth bothering about)!

Expanding Arse Update; When I sit on my butt, I have fat bumpers either side of me...so if someone sits next to me, they're likely to catch the flab, feeling so attractive right now!

It sounds like we are all having great Fridays!
Good news here too - we are set to exchange on our new house next week. Woooo!

On a not so positive, arse (and everything else) exploding front. I tried to get a new outfit for birthday dinner this weekend. No maternity shops where I work so tried House of Fraser - after an hour and 5 zillion outfits I was practically in tears. How have I got so huge so quick?? At least I got myself some lovely new Chanel nail polish as a cheer up gift :)

Do we know what the ratio boys to girls are on this thread - seems quite boy heavy. How exciting!

We could put boys/girls on the stats thread, anyone very bored withnothing better to do?! We must know more than that if we go back a few pages I'd have thought.

Must be good news Friday, I've got someone coming later to buy DS's old pushchair, which incidentally is the same price as the crib I've been awwing at in John Lewis but wasnt sure I could justify buying as we already have a moses basket. Looks like I might have an excuse!
