Hi everyone

Nervously joining and have added my details below. We've been trying for number 2 for a couple of years now and have had one mc and a couple of bfp's followed by af a couple of days later. I'm desperately hoping this one hangs on - I'm so excited.

No real symptoms yet - the occasional dizzy spell, a wee bit tired in the afternoon and not sleeping quite as well as I usually do. I'm usually unconcious from when my head hits the pillow so this is weird for me. Also a bit bloated with a few stretching pains (at least I hope they are stretching pains).

Doctors appointment on Friday - going to push for an early scan.

Good luck to all.

Not sure if I will be here long, but posting myself anyway. 9 miscarriages in the last 3 years makes me skeptical, but hey, this one might just work. One of my m/c had due date exactly a year from this one (17 feb 11), so hoping it might work this time.

Hello everyone

I've been lurking for a while after POAS waiting for AF to dash all my hopes, but no sign, and my GP appointment is tomorrow, so I guess it's real! I remember my GP appointment with juniorpigeon, when the GP just grunted "Is that a good thing?" when I said I was pregnant, then sent me off with a referral. Have changed GP so hoping for a more pleasant reception tomorrow!

Am feeling a bit meh when it comes to commuting but otherwise OK. Finding it difficult not to tell the whole world though- hurrah for MN! BTW when it comes to drinking, I have found that if you wave the wine glass around enough no-one notices how much actually goes in your mouth.

Has MrsHuxtable come back to tell us about her wedding?

Putting rnbsmum back in again - whoops I keep crossing posts with people, hope it is "great minds think alike".

woowa · 06/06/2011 20:09

Yes, i'm planning on accepting glasses of wine at party I'm going to, wafting about with it, and leaving it somewhere (toilet...), and repeat! I'm amazed at how quickly i'm getting so tired. Either it's because it's twins (eek) or because i have a DD and can;t lie around all day and night doing nothing this time!

willitbe i hope hope hope and pray it sticks this time.

This is a very busy bus :-) Standing room only soon, holding on to straps as we zoom round corners!

willitbe · 06/06/2011 20:09

I think I will just stop posting Grin

Xavielli · 06/06/2011 20:23

Hey ladies!

Did a test this morning as I felt 'pregnant' and it came up as a pretty clear positive! In complete shock! Haven't told anyone (even DP) yet as DP had the snip in Feb so I know he is not going to be happy about it. This will be my 4th, I have 2 children from a previous relationship (DS1 who is 6 and DD who is 5) DP has 2 DDs with his ex wife and we have DS2 who is 7 months together .

I want to be excited about this, but DP was so unhappy about DS being conceived that I think it will be even worse this time, even though he adores his son! What a mess!

I really don't know what to do for the best, I'm tempted to just carry on although I don't know. I don't drink or smoke or anything that would harm the baby and would go ahead with the pregnancy without early tests anyway.

I'm really happy for all of you who have tried to conceive and been successful!

Could someone copy and paste me to the list please as I'm not sure how to do it on my phone;

Xavielli, 26 DC4 due 17th Feb

puzzletree · 06/06/2011 20:25

Blimey so many new people, congratulations all!!!!
wompoopigeon I've never seen a gp when pregnant, just book direct with the midwife at our surgery to save a wasted appointment!
willitbe fingers firmly crossed for you, sounds like you've had a tough time :(
woowa ooh twins? will you get an early scan?
currybaby I've always got mild cramping in early pregnancy, guess it is stretching pains/reaction to all those crazy hormones flying around, it's a common symptom anyway so don't worry unless it gets very painful.

Xavielli · 06/06/2011 20:29

Oh dear! X posts with lots of you there!

I sounded so insensitive there willitbe! and we are EDD buddies! Fingers crossed that this one is a stayer and we both get our babies on time!!

currybaby · 06/06/2011 20:40

yeah have fingers crossed for you willitbe - wishing good things for your this time.

thanks puzzletree i have been worried about them - although tonight it could be because i just ate too much pasta..

Hello all, i am nervously joining.I am old with 3dds and have had an ectopic and a mc(last november) so i feel very worried.
I should be due 4th Feb,i have a scan booked next Tuesday to see if anything is really there.
I have symptoms, tiredness, sickness ,i have more spots that teenage dd and a most impressive spare tyre that appeared 4 days ago.
Goodluck everyone.

TheDuckSaysMoo · 06/06/2011 22:31

Currybaby - yes, a crampy, bloated feeling. It is quite normal apparently but is nerve-racking all the same.
willitbe - I really hope it will be for you this time!

TheDuckSaysMoo · 06/06/2011 22:34

runaround - fingers crossed for you too.

To all those who have had problems before: do you think you'll ask for an early scan or am I being cheeky to ask for one?

gonerogue · 07/06/2011 10:42

Morning everyone
Xavielli I hope things go well for you when you tell your DP.
willitbe another one here sending you sticky vibes and hoping everything goes well.
runaround good luck to you too and I hope the scan reassures you.

I'm well into the nausea now - nothign goes down and stays there very comfortably. I also have the bloated. crampy feelings.

I presume Mrshuxtable is on honeymoon - lucky her. Can't wait for the wedding details.

Only one more week of ML for me and then back to work for another 8 months. I used to hate commuting because the smell of smoke made me and I used to walk into a smog of it outside the train station every day on the way to work.

puzzletree · 07/06/2011 11:05

Morning!
gonerogue I was exactly the same when commuting, smokers at the bus stop and train station got plenty of angry glares :) The station snack machine got quite a lot of my money too!
Xavielli hope everything works out ok for you, let us know how you get on with telling DP.
runaround fingers crossed for you too

Feeling surprisingly normal today so of course am now concerned that this is a bad sign instead of just enjoying feeling fine!
