Welcome, one and all Grin

OMG SCORPS IS TOP OF THE NOT LIST!

Should cakes be on there though?

rocketleaf · 14/04/2011 15:21

just marking my spot til old thread is full. (and studiously not looking at the Not List positioning)

laurielou · 14/04/2011 15:49

Scorps for the love of all that is holy DO NOT LAY EARLY. You must remain above me on the not list.

StiffyByng · 14/04/2011 16:34

Scorp I'd be touched to be on the list, but I would be top and I don't want you to slip back, so to speak!

laurielou · 14/04/2011 18:07

Oooh, I'm more than happy for you to go on the not list Stiffy. The more people ahead of me, the merrier.

Just how the hell did you get missed off until now?

MadameBoo · 14/04/2011 18:42

Hello. Is Truffs on her holidays?

StiffyByng · 14/04/2011 19:07

Because in my entire pregnancy I've managed to post on here about 15 times, Laurie. I am a poor poster! My excuse is that Mumsnet was too obvious for work and awkward on my phone. Not really good enough though.

You could have: StiffyByng, not really top of the list owing to poor performance, due 3 May

Medee · 14/04/2011 19:34

Evening all - Casserole beat me to it on the delivery list. Remind me, birth stories for the FESH thread? I might finally get round to typing mine, and the story of what happened the day after we got home.

Last night went pretty well; predicted feed about 12.30, though accompanied by poonami, then feeds at 4.30 and 7.30, with good sleeps in between. After a lovely morning of cuddles and feeds in bed, we eventually headed out to register her, get me some nursing bras, and MrM and I even managed a nice lunch out, while she slept. She only woke up on the walk home demanding her next feed. She is a bit fractitious now after feeding for quite some time, but so far so good!

Right, shall take myself off to the FESH's properly now. THanks for all your support over the last 2+ weeks and I shall keep an eye on how you are all doing. xxx

Medee · 14/04/2011 19:37

oh, and I found the John Lewis parents room for a change and a feed - all good!

LadyGoneGaga · 14/04/2011 19:57

What a lovely and normal family day out, Medee! I'm sure you'll pop in but see you on the other side if not! Will be keeping an eye out for your birth story too so get it written Grin

Muser · 14/04/2011 19:58

It's lovely to hear you doing everyday things Medee. Come join us in the newly coined CRESH Fred.

macaroonmum · 15/04/2011 08:01

Sounded like an excellent day yesterday.

Cinco if you are still lurking, please hang around - it can be difficult to get one's message across on t'net but there's a lot of luff here for everybody and I have the utmost respect for people who have had to go through FC or IVF route and can't possibly imagine what it must be like.

scorps Wah! that's a scary story. The Lad's a lifesaver.

Byng 3rd of May?! Smile I am an equally crap poster [shame].

Truffs WHERE are youououuuuuuuuuuu?

Gaga difficult decisions time. I'd defo go for the house with less work needed. Unless the other one is really lovely of course Wink

That i-pod thingy is scandalous! what's wrong wif shoving your headphones in your bellybutton?

I am a bit miffed at a colleague at work at the moment. She's had her hours changed to daytime work (because she 'can't get childcare' in the evening although everyone else has managed Confused) but she's ALWAYS late. ALWAYS. By an hour or more. Then she goes home at her normal time. Unreasonable, moi?

cakeandcava · 15/04/2011 08:21

Ooh, new fred how exciting!
Owly fanks for thinking of me :) -tbh I'm happy to be unlisted at the mo. Feel like I still need to prove my ESH credentials among all the cool kids.

Medee sounds like you had a wonderfully normal day. It must be so great to finally be home!

Gaga I quite like the idea of doing up a house, but I suppose you've actually done it before so know what it entails -my visions may be overly romantic about how much fun it is...

My GP called last night around 9pm to tell me the confirmation test they did (which surprised me as everyone always says they won't bother with that and just make you call the midwives) had come back with a 'yes' and how excited she was and that she was leaving all kinds of information for me to pick up at clinic reception. Which was so nice. They obviously know we've had problems, but it's great that they're so involved :)
Slowly starting to sink in but trying not to get too carried away at the moment...

laurielou · 15/04/2011 08:27

Ah Meds your day sounds perfect. May you have many, many more of them. Shall stalk you visit the CRESH fred often for updates of all lovely ladies.

I see that Holly Willoughby has had her baby girl. My mum has me obsessed by this woman now Blush. Little arrival was a month early, so glad that all seems well. However, as I said before she was due in May, so its made me hyperventilate a bit .

So, this is my last Friday in work for this year - strange, strange feeling. But good..............

Mac it is not unreasonable to expect someone to arrive in work on time when they have chaged their hours to so called suit them. Appreciate there may be times when the routine goes pear shaped, but every day? For more than an hour? And not making the time up? I'd call that taking the piss!

laurielou · 15/04/2011 08:29

x-posts there Cava. What a lovely GP, how supportive. People (including myself!) are quick to moan about medical types, so its nice to hear of a good 'un.

rocketleaf · 15/04/2011 10:12

Sounds like a lovely lovely normal day meds may it be the first of many. Enjoy the CRESH and see you on t'otherside

cava your GP sounds lovely, that's really sweet! Nice to hear, as many seem to be quite the opposite.

lozzer step away from heat magazine and all will be well ;-) It IS scary to hear of stuff like that but she will be the exception rather than the rule and its a positive that her little girl is fine.

maccarooooon what a piss taker, thats really not on, especialy as she is not the only person who has to sort out child care. Don't you think she will get pulled up soon?

Oh and just wondered if anyone caught Misbehaving Mums to Be on BBC3 last night, came across it random channel hopping but I had to switch it off as i was getting my judgy pants in a knot. However, I am guessing if anyone fancied a letting of some steam at the tele it might be quite useful.

laurielou · 15/04/2011 10:37

Rocket I didn't see the programme, but seeing it advertised earlier in the week made my judgy pants tweak. Was it that bad? Did you recognise any of us naughty ESH's on there? Grin

Scorpette · 15/04/2011 11:23

Medee, it sounds like little EA is just as glad as you two to be home - she's already letting you get some kip to celebrate Grin Your day out sounds absolutely lovely, what a reward for you and Mr M. It's the first of many, so just keeping enjoying yourselves :) Am over the moon for you both.

Macca, worra cheeky mare! Nowt wrong with changing your hours if required, but you don't then take the piss.

I got a sexy support belt yesterday from the physio but no crutches after all - they want me to try to stay off them as long as possible, which is fair enough (they're keeping a pair reserved for me if I feel I need them urgently). She gave me a checklist of things to add to my birth plan, stuff to say to MWs when in labour, info about alternative ways I could lie if I need stitches (please God, NO) and a hilariously badly-drawn chart of modified birfing positions to help me do Active Birthing after all. Still not so keen about the reality of another human being coming out of my vagina, but feel a lot more confident and empowered now. I have been training TYF with the facts in case he needs to tell MWs for me and he was walking round the flat last night yelping 'PAIN-FREE GAP OF 44cms! DON'T GO PAST IT!', 'MOVE LEGS AT SAME TIME AND SYMMETRICALLY' and so on Grin

Have commented on that tv show on the old fred (I really was daft starting this up a bit too soon) - it was v Hmm

Holly Willoughby has had baby Belle. I cannot stop singing the babybel jingle.

Given the title of the thread and current ESH musical prowess, this is somewhat toungue in cheek:

Damn the lighter mornings. And damn ineffective "black out" curtains. Yawn.

rocketleaf · 16/04/2011 06:58

Mmm cake for breakfast. Damn the cat and damn a very wriggley baby at 2.30 am.

loz I dont think I watched enough to comment fairly but yeah it seemed pretty bad.

LadyGoneGaga · 16/04/2011 14:18

Decided on the lazy arse house option. Especially after noticed mahoosive poss structural crack on the do-er upper. First offer rejected Sad. Back on Monday with a higher one, sucker I am Grin

Going to get haircut this afternoon, been about 6 months so hopefully will look less like a haystack on return.

You going to have an afternoon nap, Rocket? Envy
