I love a bonus scan ocarina, what a lovely surprise!

Well biteybach continued in the dancing and hiding from the camera mode of last week but revealed a bit more this time Grin and is a little boy! Could have knocked me down with a feather - I was utterly certain he was a she! Absolutely delighted! The photo is just a blur though - he would not keep still! I suggested the sonographer that perhaps a very wriggly baybee would be a lot calmer when born as he would have got it all out of his system. She laughed in a "you poor deluded fool" kind of way.

Less delighted by the FDH wanting to buy him a skateboard Hmm

Still got it hey scorps? Yuk suggestion but swooshing hotwater and salt round sore gums can help a lot but not if it makes you puke

I am off shopping Grin

Medee · 22/03/2011 18:57

hurrah for BabyBoyBitey!

and hurrah for bonus scans!

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 22/03/2011 19:24

Congrats on the boy flavour Bitey, wonderful news!

And yippee for bonus scans Occers.

Ocarina · 22/03/2011 19:38

Yay for wrigglybabybitey - great news :)

I forgot to tell you my Shock moment from yesterday - there was someone at the physio class yesterday who's 22 weeks pregnant with her 3rd, her 2nd will be 1 in August Shock. She was entertainingly bashful when asked how old her first two are. I don't even want to think about the logistics of getting diffed again that fast - eeeek.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/03/2011 19:49

Ah, lovely boy, Bitey. FWIW MiniG was quite chilled in utero but then was a terror once out - so may hold true!

I have a friend, Occy, whose two boys are a year apart pretty much exactly. Terrifying. But I didn't even get the droid back until MiniG was about 20 months old.

rocketleaf · 22/03/2011 19:55

Ohh lovely! a bonus scan occers! Its quite surprising how many of us have actually managed to wangle them really. I definitely think that sonographers in depts other than ante natal love the chance to have a peek at a baybee instead of moldy old organs :o

Also fab news bitey that you will be having a littlebiteyblue, another PESHbeau for Sprout is always welcome Wink

score your meeting sounds very positive, and the unit sounds wonderful, I am tres jealous. Our local is pretty old and tatty by all accounts, although the staff have a very good rep, not sure the facilities are great (hence my keenness on HB) Eeeep, you are 2nd!! I am not revelling in it as much as anyone else as that inevitably means..... (can't even say it)

Sorry to hear about the pelvic pain lady I am a bit worried about my back as i couldn't do any of the leg lifts last night either but that was because laying on my lower back was excruciating and I felt really very ill afterwards. I dont think its SPD tho as in the wrong place and prob is just the facet joint problems that I had before being aggravated. I am seeing a chiro on friday but if it continues tog et worse then I am going to speak to the MW and see if i can get some free physio, although weirdly I feel much better today so am wondering if the yoga does help in the long run but hurst short term.

Exciting house stuff going on in here, hope everyone is comfortably ensconced in new nests well prior to any laying. I am a bit disappointed in the colour our paint has turned out as it is pretty much nearly white, i would have preferred a tad more pigment but never mind, it will be nice and light.

milanomum · 22/03/2011 20:12

yoo-hoo for Boybitey! Great news! Love the skateboard idea too.

Occy It's always nice to say hello to the littl'un, isn't it?

LGG and Rocks hope that pain isn't going to be anything other than stretchiness and expansion

I know a girl who got pregnant when her first was 3 months old. I don't even think I was even contemplating sex again at that point Confused.

HighPriestessBoo · 22/03/2011 21:23

Yay for boybitey! I'm like a clucky old Aunt here :o

Scorpette · 22/03/2011 21:24

Bonus scans are the best! Nice one, Occers - bet you've been grinning like a loon all day Also glad your heart is looking good :) Sounds like you're really getting into the preggo swing of things now - for a while, it's just like the same every day stuff but whilst feeling sick, etc., and then suddenly... whoomph! Full-on differdom!

Yay for your little boy, Bitey I thought The Lad was a Lass too, so it is a (nice) shock, isn't it? You're getting off lightly with the skateboard - at the NCT class, we all had to say what we were looking forward to about parenthood and TYF said 'buying my son a kiddies drum kit' Hmm (he's not joking, hmmph)

Time to get shopping, you two! Don't forget your LoveitLoveitLoveit code - was it PESH 20? Arrgh, I didn't write it down!

Thanks for the gargling tip, BTW - that's what the dentist said to do, acksherly. And I've never been adverse to swilling something hot, salty and gross around my mouth (oo-er Missus, Matron!, fnarr fnarr and so on) Wink

Scorpette · 22/03/2011 21:34

Bloody refresh fail! Rocket, the closer I get, the closer you do too (and Lozza - where is lovely Lozzles, btw?) Grin

My (male) bezzy's brother is 11 months older than him. I once asked his mother if this was planned (I was young and naive) - she said 'No - his father has never been able to take no for an answer!' Shock I think it goes without saying that they are divorced now...

rocketleaf · 22/03/2011 21:45

I know score alternately shiting it and can't come soon enough! Think lozenge is on hols this week? Could be wrong tho.

Forgot most important thing of all which is meds show. Cmon with the last minute ironibirth minimed you know it's getting uncomfy in there.

Scorpette · 22/03/2011 22:29

I'm hoping Medee is silent because things are happening and not just cos she's engrossed in a DVD or summat! Come on, MiniMed!

PS The Lad keeps turning round in a way that show his bum through my tum! Kids are so cheeky nowadays!

Ariesgirl · 22/03/2011 22:29

BiteyBach - what a lovely name! You should call him that always. Reminds me of the PE teacher at school who used to say "Boys bach, if you forget your kit you'll be doing rugby in vests, bundies and shoessss!" Congrats!

Medee · 22/03/2011 22:38

Just nothing much to say; no further show developments. It was probably just from the sweep itself.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 22/03/2011 23:22

You're just not trying hard enough, Medee - could you not lie to us and say you're unexpectedly having hermaphrodite triplets right this second?! Grin

Soz, I know it must be v annoying to have everyone asking you for new developments; is only cos we are nosy luffs ya

AlpinePony · 23/03/2011 07:51

medee I hope you're doing OK and that the stress isn't proving to be psychologically hurtful. :( I know you're doing everything you can - in fact you're probably bouncing on a trampoline and rubbing sage in to your tummy as you read this, but just wanted to send a little love. x Also just wanted to say please don't hang on to the birthplan with too much vigour, it rarely works out the way anyone wants it to - I think cluckyKate is the only one who got what she wanted word for word. Everyone got their baybee though.

bitey a Boy!!! Yaaay for the FESH rugger team!

milanomum · 23/03/2011 07:56

meds hope you aren't feeling under pressure

milanomum · 23/03/2011 07:57

Testing, testing, one, two.

laurielou · 23/03/2011 09:37

Fecking bollocking cunting t'interwebs. Been up & down for days & has lost at least 4 fantabulous posts.

Hello!! Grin Fresh & relaxed after my lubberly hols in Cornwall. Fluked some bootiful weather, lots of slow strolls, pub lunches, afternoon tea & differs massage. Great. If anyone is near Bude & wants details of lady who did differs massage, let me know. Highly recommend. She's also just completed a course in baby massage, so that's next year's holibobs sorted.

Right, where to start.

Firstly with Cass & her sneaky queue jump. BIG CONGRATS! Your little girl sounds delish. I hope you've managed to have some bubbly by now too. Sounds like you had a better experience this time around too.

Meds Its very kind of you to wait until I'm back from hols before laying Grin Am also vay impressed and slightly jealous by your secks antics. I hope things get moving for you soon. Have some nipple tweaks just for the fun of it.

Bitey loving the BiteyBach blue flava. Especially as you were so convinced it was a girl.

Aries I can't believe I never thanked you for dreaming my diff Blush In my defence there was a whole heap of Shock face going on (still is). But THANK YOU. For what its worth I'm convinced this summer is your time. We're going to have lovely weather, you're going to be vay busy & think you don't have time for a baby, then suddenly realise you're on CD 37 & we're all screaming POAS! at you.

Uh, I promise I read everything - starting to struggle to remember........

Oh yeah, one other big thank you to Scorps & Bitey for discussing separate sleeping arrangements last week in a calm manner. Mr Loz & I are pretty much permanently in separate bedrooms, & although I get a much better sleep it makes me really, really sad. Earlier this week I'd convinced myself it was the beginning of the end of our relationship. Thankfully Mr Loz has kindly laughed at me for being a loon & has been getting on my nerves showering me with compliments & affection.

Right, suppose I'd better finish here before this post turns into a War & Peace epic.

Nipple tweaks & shin kicks all round,x

owlbooty · 23/03/2011 09:52

Epic catch up Lorry :) And Mr Loz is quite right about you being a loon re. sleeping arrangements.

BiteyBoy well that's no blinking good is it Grin Perhaps we can all form some sort of male voice choir instead. Would you like to borrow my bucket of sand? I am using it as a portable ostrich device for those moments when anyone suggests Owlet will be anything other than pefectly behaved and not a constantly vomiting shitting wailing horror. I think Mr Boots was secretly rather chuffed it was a boy though, suspect FDH may be thinking similar thoughts re. doing fun 'Boy Activities' (i.e oh look now I have an excuse to buy train set/meccano/scaletrix/technic lego/full set of socket wrenches etc). Which is a bit daft as I loved all that stuff too when I was a kid but perhaps I was not typical fluffy girl.

Rocket I forgot you were expecting a pink one; I shall add her to my list of potential suitors (suitees?)

Scorps hoorah for the mooning!

RieRieRie I haz saved you a seat. And placed Welshcakes on it and everything. I also think and very much hope you (and the other lovely BESHies) will be joining us before too long so I can inflict violence upon you all :)

Occy bonus scan sounds fabulous, always lovely to see the little 'un dancing about in there.

rocketleaf · 23/03/2011 10:31

Aye up, loz glad you had a lovely time, sounds gorge.

Medee · 23/03/2011 10:36

Welcome back Lou, sounds like a lovely trip.

Yes, still here. Thought I was getting contractions last night, but I was either (a) dreaming (b) imagining them or (c) they were real but have stopped. Bah! I'm trying not to fixate on what I wanted too much but completely failing, and also failing to focus on the prize at the end of all this. Have been inhaling baby clothes to try to remember. MrM ended up with a soggy jumper last night when he said something nice and I burst into tears.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 23/03/2011 10:45

Understandable meds it's hard not to fixate on the experience you would prefer. Must be v frustrating. But the end result will be your own PFB regardless of the route. Also does sound like if you go ahead with induction tomorrow you are a prime candidate for it just being the push you need to get you going.

laurielou · 23/03/2011 10:58

Oh Meds poor you & MrM's soggy jumper.

Did you manage to find a reflexology lady nearby? See if you can look one up, if nothing else it may help to ease your frazzled nerves today. Not sure what else to suggest really. Is MrM around to provide foot rub / endless cups of tea / entertainment / distraction techiques?

Mr Loz & I suddenly remembered hilarious video for Utah Saints song (?) with the running man. Makes me laugh like an idiot. I have asked him to learn it in preparation for cheering me up during labour. There are vids on You Tube to teach you. Maybe MrM could also do that...........
