Hello PESHes. I slipped off your fred so I'm just poking my nose in to: say Yay for Medee having EA at home at last, have a nibble on Cinco's shoulder, say a diff is a diff is a diff Cincs and we are so bloody happy you got one after all your heartache, and to wave at Cakes and remind her that PESHes can still come visit the ESH thread after her fleeting visit :o

Inapproprate belly rubbing for the rest of you :o

Ocarina · 14/04/2011 10:01

Hooray Medee, that's fab news. Hope everything goes smoothly from now on (or at least as smoothly as things ever can with a tiny one).

And yay for the house selling LadyG. Have you found one to buy?

I'm just back from my 20 week scan and apparently all is well, despite wriggly shy baby not wanting to pose for photos. I still can't get my head round there actually being a real baby in there.....

laurielou · 14/04/2011 10:07

Ocs lovely scan news. If it helps I'm 33+ wks, start mat leave next week and still can't quite believe there's a real baby in there.........

Scorpette · 14/04/2011 10:41

Aw, Cincs, sorry if the ironidiff happiness seemed tactless - was not in any way intended to offend or seem boastful. For me, I'm proud of my ironidiff because we'd been turned down for AC and couldn't afford it ourselves and we genuinely thought we might never have kids. Sorry to bring everyone down loads but I'd sunk into a deep depression before we were turned down and then when we were, I actually planned how I was going to commit suicide (and was serious about it), that's how painful it was for me, so if I crow a bit over my win, it's only because it was literally a lifesaver. We like an ironidiff because they are always seem to happen when people have all doors shut to them, so we enjoy the FU value :) It was such a hellish time for me that I have to put a sentimental spin on it to be able to cope with the memory.

I don't think there is any hierarchy whatsoever of how someone gets pg -I just want all women who want a baby to win, however it happens. And I massively respect and admire the laydeez that get that win via the AC route because it is so arduous, invasive, painful, scary, etc. I salute all of you who go through it because I dunno if I'd've been strong enough to see it through, even if we had've been offered it.

In exciting SPD news, I'm off to the hossie later to get my midget crutches and humiliate myself whilst a physio tries (and no doubt fails) to teach me some positions to minimise pelvic nightmares during labour. And I have a cracking headache. The fun never starts stops!

Can't wait to hear how EA has enjoyed her first proper day at home :)

Scorpette · 14/04/2011 10:47

PS Can I do the next fred, as it's pretty much guaranteed it'll be the one I lay during?

rocketleaf · 14/04/2011 11:00

Hello lovely PESHeroos (and other lurkingESH) Ha I had forgotten what its like to be unable to post for a few days and how the thread just runs away... have been keeping up on my phone but baby brain will probably suck away all the things I wanted to say yesterday so apols if I over look something.

First let me say mahoosive congrates to Meds Mr M and EA for being finally tuck E in at home now, thats such fantastic news. So happy to know you are there now, let the one handed typos commence :-)

Welcome to fizzandfenchfancies, ha, I think the continued menkul takes a lot of us by surprise and apparently nothing compared to the menkul of having an acshual real life baybee to look after!

Big hugs to cinco there is no such thing as a 'better' way to win in ESHland. Speaking as someone who dipped her toe in the FC water and has just been through every step of the way with my best friend, I think part of the reason we love an FCFU so much is an inkling of just how hard the journey you have made is and that someone has not had to full experience that as a good thing. So mad respect to you for getting here, lovely.

Muser · 14/04/2011 11:06

Ocs my baby is currently asleep in her sling making little snuffly noises and huffing on my chest. And I still can't believe she's really here and really mine and really really perfect and gorgeous and did I mention the snuffles?

It doesn't change, you find new things to menkul over.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/04/2011 11:21

God no, Sprocket. Even broken down old cottages are horrifically expensive hereabouts if decent sized. We have decided to eschew character and go for a modernish 4 bed in the village next to where I live now. Is just we have a choice between two - one fab, nicely done wouldn't have to do anything. One not been touched since built in 1985, therefore has horrid pretend stone inglenook and walk in old lady bath in en suite and original kitchen(!). So a bit of a do-er upper but manageable. And this one is more expensive but has a better South facing garden on corner plot with built in veg patch. So I am agonising! We are going back to see them both on Saturday and then will have to make a decision. We are not going to move from here for YEARS so need to choose wisely.

Fab news on scan, Occy. Half way already! Are you getting booted yet?

Like the others I appreciate all diffments. A friend of mine recently had her baby - think I have mentioned her before but husband had lost both testicles due to cancer so their only option was IVF with frozen sperm. She had one successful round then sadly mc'ed but now has her scrummy baybee and couldn't be happier. So there is something very special about IVF babies. But also something very special about FU babies. And babies that arrive after a mc. In fact all flipping babies are fantastic however they get here. Just glad all the pregnant ladies are here and safe and all is going well.

kat2504 · 14/04/2011 11:24

Feeling a bit better thanks! It's just a long wait and the days are dragging and I want to get past next Saturday as until then I am barely able to get happy about being pregnant, even though it really is the best thing ever.
Getting a shiny new phone today which is nice! Does anyone know how I go about transferring my number?

kat2504 · 14/04/2011 11:28

Scorps, if you want to put me on the next list think due date will be around 5th December. Tempting fate perhaps but is not actually possible to jinx baybee by having ones name on a page on the Internet so won't do any harm!

Ocarina · 14/04/2011 11:38

Kat, that's an impressive lack of menkul you're showing there knowing that you can't jinx a baby on the internet! (I knew that in my head, but still wouldn't even come and post in the deli till I was about 9 weeks, and that was without having had the awfulness of a previous mc).

GG I'm now just about convinced that at least some of the random sensations in my belly must be baby wriggling around. No idea if I'm being booted, or headbutted or what, but baby's making its presence felt a bit. (This is where I realise that one advantage to finding out the flavour would've been I could have stopped trying to work out ways not to keep calling the poor thing 'it' for the next 5 months!) Happy house viewing - sounds good that you've got options.

rocketleaf · 14/04/2011 11:50

Ohhh tough choice lady my sensible head says go for the one that doesn't need work inside because the last thing you want to be doing is having work done with a new born around but the grower in me would be very attracted to the south facing vege plot. My folks bought one of those 80's new builds at the time and i remember the inside being fairly hideous (large stone fire place with 'nooks' for nic nacs, very dodgy kitchen cupboards with fake hessian print and I think they even had an avocado en suite) But even they had the decency to rip out the fire place and replace it with something less hideous during the 90's. Tough one! I guess it depends if you have the funds and patience (and time?) to get the inside of this one to be how you want it before baby arrives or if you can live with it and do it bit by bit over the next few years with 2 nippers around? At least all the electrics and plumbing will be sounds so its just cosmetics. Have fun on 2nd viewings!

Muser · 14/04/2011 11:56

Oh lucky diffed ladeez. On This Morning they have just featured a special band you can strap round your bump, stick your iPod in, and play music to your baybee. How did I ever survive pregnancy without one? And it's a snip at £130!

Scorpette · 14/04/2011 11:59

No, there's no jinx, Kat (but we all felt like that). Cincs, do you want your due date on the next list or are you still feeling too superstitious? And you two, think of a funny tagline if you want adding Grin

GG, both those houses have their merits. I'd be a lazy arse and choose the one that needs least doing to it, but that's me Grin Hope you can decide on Sunday. Your pal's story is true BESHspiration, good on 'em!

Huzzah for top scan news, Ocs. Feel melty at thought of your wriggly, shy baby. So it's not a pot belly after all, eh? Wink

Muse, I am already menkulling about the reality of hazing a Real Baby to look after. I can't see myself doing anything but staring at him in lovestruck awe and panicking about keeping him alive, but I guess all new parents are the same!

Fuck me sideways, am watching the crapulent This Morning and they are showing new tech gadgets - one is a tummy wrap you wear from 20 wks diffed onwards that has built-in speakers to play mp3 tracks of your choice to baybee. I dunno if that's genius or ridiculous. I now feel guilty as we've played virtually no music due to my daily headaches, so The Lad will probably only recognise the Jeremy Kyle theme tune or songs me and TYF make up about the other one smelling of poo Blush

LadyGoneGaga · 14/04/2011 12:09

Can I have a new tagline, please, Score.

LadyGoneGaga, No, it's not fucking twins, due 24 July

Scorpette · 14/04/2011 12:17

X-post, Muse! Grin

GG, will do. I understand the biggus bumpus insults. I still haven't forgiven the COW at the NCT class who pointed to another member who is only 1 week behind me and wouldn't shut up about how 'HUGE' I was compared to her. Angry

Should I do the new fred before I leave for the physio at 2? Hmm...

owlbooty · 14/04/2011 12:30

I am still weeble-shaped, nothing to add here :)

So, GG , is it twins?

Muse it does seem unbelievable doesn't it - I still can't reconcile the little kicking going on in my innards with a RL baybee on the outside. The snuffles sound SO LOVELY.

kat2504 · 14/04/2011 12:30

Tagline? Hmmm
25 sticks pissed on and counting!

I have cut down a bit on my addiction but without symptoms I need some proof that something might be going on in there.

CurlyCasper · 14/04/2011 12:33

Can't believe I missed the EA news yesterday! That's bloody wonderful medee. I'm grinning away for you. Hope you can get some peace to just enjoy.

I can empathise on the big bump front - in early May last year I was at a big work event and spent the whole day repeating "no, I'm not due until the end of July, and no, it's not twins". The good news is that I plateaued after that. I think.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/04/2011 12:38

CC I think you must be me! A plateau would be great. Although unlikely...

Kat I had a terrible piss stick addiction utnil they stopped getting darker and then I stopped as they were fuelling menkul. Check out my pics for the Christmas tree piss stick contruction. I believe Owlie has a similarly impressive collection.

CurlyCasper · 14/04/2011 12:45

gaga I've just realised you have my original due date! Docs said the 24th, I knew myself it should be the 21st, But as you will see from the Not List, she came at 36 weeks, at which point I did not feel big at all. But then I look back at the pictures of my beached whale self... Grin

AlpinePony · 14/04/2011 13:01

ladyG You have my actual due date as per the midwives. My due date as per my calculations was 22nd. Actual baybee 1st. Grin Well done on selling your house to the holy grail of buyers!

StiffyByng · 14/04/2011 13:07

Medee, I am so, so happy for you. I hope you're having a simply lovely time with EA.

Ocarina, yay for the scan. We've been 'itting' away for months too, and it does feel a bit mean. I also randomly say 'he' or 'she' too, which I think me other half finds disconcerting!

scorps my physio yesterday decided I have an uneven pelvis and a trapped nerve, which is why the pain is so bad. I am spending this morning dreading my meeting with the midwives at my doctor's surgery, as it involves me driving 300m, finding a parking space, walking potentially another 20/30m, then climbing a flight of stairs, doing all this in reverse and then finding a parking space anywhere near home. My ambitions have become very small! I wish I was one of the lucky people whose chiro could just pop them back into place. But so close now.

Kat I'm impressed too with your acknowledgement that the internet cannot harm a baby. I'm not entirely sure I really believe this myself and I'm 37 weeks. I have scared myself stupid with stillbirth stories on the radio this morning.

StiffyByng · 14/04/2011 13:08

Oh, and congratulations, LadyG on the house success! As a total stranger speaking, I'd go for the fixer-upper, as I am desperate to create my own kitchen and bathroom.

kat2504 · 14/04/2011 13:09

Ha ha I remember the tree! Was yours the one with the epo and pregnacare baubles?
