Thinking of you Medee hope that all gets sorted quickly x

rocketleaf · 30/03/2011 21:12

Shit meds so sorry to hear that! Hope everything gets sorted very quickly. Everything crossed for you x

whatsoccuring hope you enjoy differs yoga. I luffs it. Shame that tonight was the last evening one at my very local children's centre as funding has been pulled. But there are a couple of other day time ones I can hit or a Saturday one.

Cass my back is much better thanks. Was still sore today but went back to chiro to get it sorted. Good news is my pelvis has stayed straight so she just worked on my muscles as they are obviously going WTF. Had a :o moment when I was kneeling on a chair having my gluts massaged with the vibraty massaging thing. Thought the ESH would have appreciated the imagery. But made-up that I was feeling good enough to go to yoga as don't think I would have managed it otherwise.

Lovely bags going on here, I really like the Orla Keily ones but they are silly money. I would like one of [[http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/230943036/Product.aspx these] as i figure the removable inner bits can be stuck in a ruck sack for TB to use if he wants to be all boyey. Still on the pricey side really so I think I'll prob just end up with the free boots one.

rocketleaf · 30/03/2011 21:14

Oops link fail

MadameBoo · 30/03/2011 21:22

Yes Rocket you just stick with the Boots one Wink

Truffkin · 30/03/2011 21:24

Hope everything gets sorted soon Meds the power of the ESH is with you x

I have enjoyed reading back over the bag talk today. Of course, I love that bag you posted a link to Score but then I've always had a well honed ability to pick the most expensive version of anything from a page full of near-identical items. I am quite liking [http://www.iltutto.co.uk/shop/item/stella-nappy-bag this one]] and [http://www.sugarplumtree.co.uk/oioi-chocolate-soft-touch-leather-hobo.html this bad boy]] and realising that I need to step up my baby fund saving contribution and kiss goodbye to my annual bonus in August Grin

Hope you enjoyed yoga Oche am looking forward to hearing about it. There is a class near to me and I am hoping to start going later on. I have a gym membership through work (never use it!) but unfortunately the gym by work only does differs yoga on a Saturday and the one near home does it on a Thursday morning - boo!

In other news, the salty carb cravings continue with a portion of chippy chips this evening (although I struggled to eat as much as I normally do, so I suppose that's something)

LadyGoneGaga · 30/03/2011 21:38

Sorry to hear you're having rubbish-ness, Meds. Hope everything is ok. Keep us updated when you have a moment.

Am all float-y and yoga-ed. Even better, Mr G managed to get MiniG to bed so I just get to sit down with my half glass of red. Happy Gaga Smile

CluckyKate · 30/03/2011 22:19

Blimey Meds, hope everything's alright. Thinking of you and fingers crossed you're home, safe and well very soon xxx

Ocarina · 30/03/2011 22:39

Hope all's OK Meds and you don't have to be in hospital for long. Sending lots of ESHlove.

Yoga was sort of fun although I felt decidedly uncoordinated. There was one bit I couldn't get my head round at all - I kept combining the wrong bits together (it was some sort of cat I think). I managed not to fart which impressed me (but Rie is right, such things would amuse TH greatly). Problem is going to be managing to get to any decent number of sessions - I can do 4 in a row and then life/work intervene to make it more complicated. Hey ho.

All those changing bags are very pretty, but I'm way too tight to spend that kind of money on a bag. Especially when there's a freebie Boots one sat in the spare room. I would blame such stinginess on living in Scotland but actually I think it's always been the case. Mind you having said that I'll now get sucked in by a pretty one.

macaroonmum · 31/03/2011 07:59

Meds Sorry to hear that dearie. Hope you are all ok and out of hospital as soon as possible. xx

rocketleaf · 31/03/2011 08:53

Bites nails for mednews

occie I wouldn't worry to much about continuity with yoga. Anything is better that nothing. I have been pretty erratic with going what with life and stuff. Once you've been a few times you might feel confident enough to do a few of the simpler stretches on your own. Even if you just sit off at home and do some deep belly breathing that will be a bonus! It's so calming and nice to take time out to concentrate on yourself and cyour baby (steals Crown of Woo from boo)

MadameBoo · 31/03/2011 10:17

we can share it bomblettuce

owlbooty · 31/03/2011 10:34

Hope all is well Meds and MiniMeds x

Occy well done on not guffing; tis my worst nightmare as my class is v.small and v.quiet so a big chuff would be v.audible and I always seem to get terrible flatulence on pilates night. Why?? Why?? The stretches are nice to do if you're feeling a bit stiff as rocket says.

Have not felt the Owlet move this morning and am now contemplating standing on my head for a bit to see if that wakes him up. Or putting my headphones on my stomach and treating him to some music. Have got bored of poking him repeatedly and it's not working anyway

rocketleaf · 31/03/2011 10:45

Can of coke and some chocolate should do the trick booty

is ok. I just wanted to try it on for size but it suits you much better Wink

I am hungry and have no snacks. I magnanimously allowed TB to have the last nutrigrain bar last night and am now trying to snack on celery and PB. Is not quite doing the trick.

rocketleaf · 31/03/2011 10:46

Magnanimous, word of the day boo

owlbooty · 31/03/2011 10:52

Celery???? That will not do!!

The mackerel pate is for me to eat stinkily in the corner, sorry. Can't stop eating feesh.

rocketleaf · 31/03/2011 11:00

TB said to me last night: I can't wait for the work to be finished and for you to feel better so you can start baking again. It was he who told me to stop because he thought he was getting fat!!! Bah, I am going to the bakery later for Bavarian slices and eclairs.

He also suggested he come home early from work so he can take all the old laminate to the dump. Obviously completely forgotten he is supposed to be coming home early from work to come to the MW with me to ask anything he wants to know about the HB Hmm Boy has the brain of a sieve.

LadyGoneGaga · 31/03/2011 12:38
Scorpette · 31/03/2011 13:21

Worried for news from Medee. I dunno if it's her or MiniMed that needed to go in, so am double-fretting. More luffs your way, Meds!

I'll take a bed bath, GG Grin Womble pain v bad today; not helped by sitting on horrible loo rim whilst half asleep this morning and jolting in surprise because TYF leaves the loo seat up. Also, it was a bit damp - BLEEEURGH (so no going back to sleep; decided to just shower then and there). Seemed to jar my pelvis. Have told him I'm going to put a bloody sign up above the bog to remind him and he accepted this. Angry The Lad will be fully trained to put the seat down, MARK MY famous last WORDS.

Rocket, what is a Bavrian slice? I'm still hungry after draining the chocolate fondue dry Wink

BTW Can I just point out about yesterday's changing bag chat that I can't actually afford a spendsy bag?! I think it was my mind's last chance saloon moment to be able to just think about MEEEEEEE when considering spending money before my child(ren?) comes first forever Grin

owlbooty · 31/03/2011 13:29

Ha, I also got told not to bake any more as Mr Boots was turning into his own fat lookalike. I don't know what a Bavarian slice is either but I do know they like their food in Bavaria so am fully expecting it to be lardy and delicious.

We have to spend money on the baybees instead of ourselves? Wtf? Do we not deserve extra gifts and treats as long-suffering carriers of PFB etc?

Nice outfit, GG Grin

Scorpette · 31/03/2011 13:46

TYF is 6ft2 and has weighed 11 stone since he was 16. He has the worst sweet tooth I've ever witnessed and can eat a whole family size slab of Dairy Milk as a snack and never puts on weight. Envy It's not fair, is it? TBF to him, he also likes to snack on things like lettuce or rice cakes (the freak), but still... HMMPH!

(Actually, it makes me feel low at the moment - he is slim, toned, fit, young (29) and sexaliciously gorgeous, whereas I am a heavily stretchmarked whale with hilari-trotters who will be 40 next yr Sad I feel so undeserving of his hotness!)

Waaaah, am getting some weird kicks that feel like someone is sticking needles in me - what's going on with that?!

Ivegotmrbitey · 31/03/2011 13:58

Gosh, sorry score just seeing if it worked! Wink

Hoping for good news from medee, thinking of you and yours lovely.

rocketleaf · 31/03/2011 14:00

Just spoken to TB, he is not coming. My cunning plan worked! I told him I didn't want him just showing up and not being prepared as the MW had specially laid aside the last appointment for us to discuss HB as would probably be longer than normal check (ie: giving up her own time) So he has spent some time researching HB and has now pretty much answered all his own questions via the wonders of the internet and is reassured that if MW is happy I am fit and well enough for it then he is too. :o Also as he is off tomorrow and Monday and has to go in late for a dentist appointment on Tuesday we dont really want him taking the piss with an early dart today. Is not that I didn't want him to be there, of course, just didn't think it was necessary.

So yes I am still very much up for it, although now the (gorgeous beautiful exciting!) floor is down I am a bit concerned about having a pool on it as apparently water marks on oak are a bit of a bitch. :D So not sure about that part, need to have a think. Anyway, I am fairly resigned to ending up in hossie because of some spanner in the works (seems to be de riguer) Just going to wait until 36 week HB assessment and see what happens.

Back is very much improved today, still a bit twingy but loads better so VERY happy about that, going back again next week and will continue til its all sorted hopefully but at least I have a chance of making it up Symmonds Yat this weekend.

Sorry for mememememe post. A bavarian slice is sort of like a creme slice but consist of (working from the bottom up) flaky pastry, jam, flaky pastry, creme patisserie, flaky pastry, icing.

Hoping we hear from meds soon too. Its very nerve wracking, can't imagine what it must be like for her, I so hope they are both ok.

Ivegotmrbitey · 31/03/2011 14:21

Bavarian slice sounds amazing rocket, I have had five rennies for my lunch still feel like I could breathe fire!

Re: the oak floor (sounds lovely BTW) can you put a tarp down or will that lead to slippery issues? I will ask the FDH for advice when I get home, when not being an international jet setter he is a floor layer Smile

owlbooty · 31/03/2011 14:38

Fill pool with vodka jelly instead? Useful for quick pain relief/snack whilst labouring and will not wreck nice floor.

Bavarian slice sounds lush btw. Whereas five rennies reminds me of two ronnies. That is not lush.

I am tired and should be working and am gibbering and posting crap on here instead
