And I am also intrigued to know what FDH does.... Come on Bitey, spill!

PollyPoo · 27/03/2011 21:11

Rocket I meant to say that I went to chiro after a car accident. I did feel worse after the first session, but he warned me that would be the case. Not sure if it was down to the nature of the injury and accident, or the treatment though, sorry. Hope it gets better soon, but if you are still feeling as bad tomorrow I'd give him/her a ring, just to make sure.

Casserole · 27/03/2011 21:13

( Rocket she will have times put aside for emergencies and stuff exactly like this - or at least she should have. So if you're really sore tomorrow, please don't feel bad about ringing her. It happens, she won't think badly of you. But I really hope you don't need to. )

rocketleaf · 27/03/2011 21:14

polly think those pills are working a leeetle bit too well Wink Mind you I have had a rough few days so the alien belly is quite literally the only thing keeping me sane at the mo. I can't WAIT for the next 2.5 months to fly by (as everyone keeps telling me they will) Fed up of no sleep, back ache, nausea and generally ungainliness. I am hoping a swim tomorrow might help cheer me up (think yoga would be a bad move) and loosen up the back but going to take it very very easy.

Blue eyeshadow on children should be banned under some sort of civil rights convention surely?

rocketleaf · 27/03/2011 21:16

Thanks both of you, cass i will defo ring tomorrow if no improvement, she was really lovely so I am sure she will try and see me if she can, you are prob right about emergency appointments, will check. Fingers crossed it just taken me a bit longer to adjust than normal.

PollyPoo · 27/03/2011 21:21

They are bloody fab pills Sprocket. Grin I forgot to take one the other night, my god I felt bloody awful the next day. Are you working at the mo? I can't remember if you got a temp contract... Glad the alien belly is getting you through, but I hope things ease up for you soon. Have you resorted to the spare room yet?!

rocketleaf · 27/03/2011 21:31

No I am not working. THANK GOD!!! I don't think I could have coped with the commute (but on the other hand I think perhaps I'm not keeping myself busy enough). I have mad respect for everyone else who is working full time in diffed state right now, dunno how they cope!! (lack of a choice but to get on with it, of course!)

Spare room isn't really an option for either of us as the bed is a knackered old futon, would be like sleeping on a rack. Our bed is king size and plenty big enough I think, I have trouble napping in it in the afternoon or going back to sleep after TB has gone to work so don't think it's him keeping me awake. Think it's that I am not doing enough to tire myself out because I physically can't. I usually sleep better after yoga but its been really painful that last couple of times I've been so bit nervous of going again. Bit of a vicious cycle, I spose. Like I said hoping a bob swim will help tomorrow.

I am glad the pills are doing the trick! :o

Casserole · 27/03/2011 21:35

Rocket also just to say I never usually had reactions to treatment but had a couple of nasty ones whilst pregnant. I don't really know why that would be but I offer it up as hopefully some sort of solidarity / comfort!

PollyPoo · 27/03/2011 21:39

Sorry you are suffering Salad. What we go through to get our baybees eh... Tis all worth it in the end though. Honest!

MadameBoo · 27/03/2011 21:47

Congratulations Medee and well done for all your hard work. Great name too - especially the first one Wink, have a fantabulous babymoon

Rocket I am very :( to read about all this back pain, and hope that something shifts it soon xxx

rocketleaf · 27/03/2011 21:55

cass maybe its the relaxins? Any normal reaction could be amplified I suppose? I haven't had chiro for a couple of years either (mine was after an accident too) and I certainly don't remember anything like this.

Think I'll take a hot botty to bed (apart from TBs, badum tschhh)

Thanks for kind words and sympathy pol & boo

Bit of goo is good for the soul some times. But erotiviolence is better.

PollyPoo · 27/03/2011 22:45

Ok, if you insist Rocket.

macaroonmum · 28/03/2011 07:51

Medee She sounds just gorgeous and has a name to match! Well done you for being a trooper and getting through a not-so-easy birth so bloody well

Scorps Top of the list!

alps Love the shire horses/hobbits method Grin

Fanks for the kidney sympathies everyone - think it's just a situation made worse by the pregnancy because I wasn't drinking enough. Feeling much better today and the doc told me to take a few days off to get over it properly - who am I to argue?

rocket that sounds vey painful - hope you get it sorted asap. Never had chiro so can't help at all (but have a nipple tweak to take your mind off it)

polls I remember having really strong broody feelings for about the first 4 months after no1 - then the hormones sorted themselves out and I wised up ;)

I went through a massive bag of Thechild's baby clothes to pass on to a friend and managed to find 3 things that would not look ridiculous on a boy. In fairness it was all 12-18 mnths stuff and from the summer...but definitely lots of flowery and pink. Need to go shopping for cute boy's stuff to compensate Grin

laurielou · 28/03/2011 07:56

Meds you've made me go a bit daft & weepy Blush. So, so pleased for your news. Sorry it didn't quite go as planned, but that seems to make you a real ESH. Stoopid me hasn't been on FB to swoon over pics, but seeing as every other ESH babybee has been of the delicious variety, I have no doubt your little one will be the same. Beautiful name too, absolutely timeless.

Macaroon how's the kidney stones today? Hope you're feeling a bit better. I saw my dad in pain with these & honestly thought he was dying (he is a bit prone to illness dramatics, but still..) Glad the anti-spasm stuff helped.

Rocket m'dear, what have you been up to as well? How is your back today? Must say I've had a few stiff (fnar) days after chiro appointments, but never real pain (Thank Jebus). Follow wise Cass advice though.

Pol I'm so glad those pills are working for you. Even if they are making you go misty eyed over thoughts of diffment. Crazy fule! Novelty is starting to wear off for me now & I find myself obsessed with people's flat stomachs.

Seems like we were all abandoned over the weekend. Mr Loz went to London on a lads weekend to see Primal Scream. I too slept like a starfish, figetting & snoring to my heart's content. Last night I had a rubbish sleep - we've been watching The Pacific - good but pretty gory war stuff - so I dreamt we were at war & being bombed & I was running around trying to find a safe place for Bug. Was disturbing. Hence I was in office by 7.15am.

Thankfully I have MW appointment later, so I may tell a little white lie & say appointment is earlier than it really is & go home for a lie down. That's not unreasonable, is it?

rocketleaf · 28/03/2011 09:40

7.15 loz?????? Early dart should be the LAW if you ask me. Hope MW appointment goes well later, sure it will.

Back is better today although I dodmt ;eep very well with it. When I say better I mean back to how it was before I saw her on friday, which isnt THAT good but not anywhere near as bad as over the wekend. Hoping it is going to get even better tomorrow. TBH i think i just need to keep it moving, and have swapped my office chair for the ball BOING!!!

Hope coconutmama is also feeling better today too. Been a cautionary tale for me as I always forget to drink, so am going to try and remember to neck loads of water. In fact vaguely remember from when i did my disk that dehydration can make back pain worse although might be getting Confused Easily done these days.

Scorpette · 28/03/2011 10:35

Rocket, you think you're joking with Poo, but she'll be round yours with a gimp mask and a double-ended Black Mambo dildo at the slightest encouragement, trust me Confused I hope you're feeling a bit (or indeed, a lot!) better today

And I hope Maca is feeling better today too. Cute boy clothes shopping is definitely in order. Italy surely has the cutest kids clothes e-vah!

Keep drinking ladies, keep drinking!

Loz, I would tewtally wag it off home early and catch some zzzzs. Fancy watching scary war stuff before bed, considering how mental preggo dreams are!

Bleeurgh, 4 hours sleep for me and I'm off later to complete Pt 2 of Baby-Stuff Buying Blitzkrieg TM. I already feel like crying at the thought of having to make choices and decisions! The Lad kept moving his entire body dramatically from side to side all night, whilst never taking his head off my bladder. Quite glad I'm first on the list now!

Black marks have appeared all over the carpet in the spare bedroom - v odd and v worrying re: ever getting deposit back whenever we move. TYF says that their resemblance to bike oil marks are purely coincidental (whilst glancing nervously at the the bike he rides to and from work every day Hmm). This is also the nursery-to-be so double-Grrrrrrrrr.

owlbooty · 28/03/2011 11:44

Tis bloody ridic. how much I am finding I have to drink to stave off dehydration. Keep chugging the water, Macca . I find when I forget I get the Branstons, the leg cramps and also the Morning Breath of Doom and Horror. Yummy.

Scorps I dreamt the night before last that an evil grey cat with lilac glowing eyes was going to eat my pet rabbit (which was inexplicably huge) and my pet hedgehog (which was inexplicably tiny). I do not own a rabbit or a hedgehog. I am now slightly scared of going to sleep due to the extreme mentalness.

Lozza I reckon you should leave immediately Grin

Ivegotmrbitey · 28/03/2011 12:09

Congratulations medee! She sounds gorgeous and that is a beautiful name. You sound lke you are head over heels in love! Well done on being so brave as well, my nephew was a back to back birth and was really very ouchy.

sprocket your instincts are exactly right, the FDH is the one in the middle Grin

No, he is a drummer in a band and had gone to play in a festival in miami. He managed to stop throwing up, they rigged an air conditioner around his drum kit and he went on with the show. He rang afterwards soundng much perkier and looking forward to drinking a beer so am much relieved Smile. He's not an international rock star sadly and earns his crust from his main job but he loves it and I never fail to get star struck and go into groupie mood when I see hime (ahem) perform Grin I will be very glad to see his return tomorrow just so Iget a good night's sleep in a different room from him.

Happy shopping scorpelino there is a baby event on in tesco with mennny menny things half price.

laurielou · 28/03/2011 12:14

Owly that dream sounds bloody awful Shock. I feel a bit creeped out about it now.

Mr Loz has today off to recover from his weekend, & had instructions to be home for man to come & fix window lock in soon to be nursery. It was locked shut. I was quoted £65 - apparently window man came & fixed in 30 seconds for free! What Mr Loz promised for that, I neither know nor care!

I shall be mostly leaving work in 10 mins - its all good Grin

laurielou · 28/03/2011 12:26

he is a drummer in a band and has gone to play in a festival in miami WOW! I am muchos impressed!

owlbooty · 28/03/2011 12:51

Sorry Lozza , twas certainly a bit freakish and weird. Too much cheese before bedtime methinks.

Bites I hope you don't embarrass him by throwing your granny pants when you go to watch him at gigs. Tis particularly hard to get them as far as the drummer; you run the risk of them landing on the singer's head.

I promise I have never done this btw. And thankfully nobody ever threw their pants at me when I was drumming. That would have been hideous; crusty bloke grundies.

Today some tiny socks with sealife on them have turned up. I luff the tiny socks and have only just managed not to SQUEEEEE in the office. Although that might have compensated for the belching I did earlier when I forgot I was in the office and needed to rein it in. Whoops.

Ivegotmrbitey · 28/03/2011 13:02

Aah loz it's not that impressive his real job is distinctly less glamorous. He does have vay nice arms from all the stick swinging though.

owlie Shock Shock I would nevair throw my granny pants! They are far too comfy and therefore precious! I SQUEEEEEEEE ed for you, small socks are the best aren't they? That was a crazy dream! Mine this morning was that I was at glastonbury waiting to go the toilet but the toilet doors were cat flaps. I asked my friends what we were going to do and they said that they could fit and leapt gracefully through. I woke up feeling fat and desperate for a wee!

How are the kidneys Hey!Macarena ? Pliz to post pics of lovely italian boy baby clothes!

Glad the back is on the mend rocket, hope it continues to improve for you.
