just remembered something my midwife told me 3 yrs ago have tonic water to help with cramp. ( i started taking this at 15 week pg last time and i hardly got it) i was drinking 1/2 a litter a day of it and just incase i got cramp in the night i took it to bed with me and the minute i started getting cramp i would take some. Its fantastic stuff. You do need to start it early as i took it late with my other 2 and was in total pain.

dangirl · 06/11/2005 11:39

Good morning all
One day at the time... that is how I am seeing it at the moment.
I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. Another milestone. I am soo scared every time a feel a cramp or every time I go to the toilet where I find myself checking for blood every time. I soo want to be able to just enjoy. I think once I have seen a heartbeat at the scan I might feel differently

Uh, don't mean to sound so depressing.

Have a lovely day all.

Love,
Dangirl

dangirl · 07/11/2005 14:28

6 weeks today!
yeahh!! - and feeling fine. So very pleased with my tender breasts. They reassure me.
Hope everyone else are OK.
Love,
Dangirl

Hi all - it's quiet on here, isn't it? I thought there would be loads of messages, with lots of people gettings positives and being excited, especially if they are first timers.

All is well with me. I'm only 4+3 (due 13th July). All my symptoms have pretty much gone, except for slightly swollen boobs, but I remember this from last time around. They start to come back again at about 5 weeks, so I am trying to enjoy the next few days before I start getting the tiredness and nausea.

How is everyone else?

dangirl · 07/11/2005 19:32

yeas it is quiet isn't it.
Come on everyone there must be some more newly pregnant ladies out there.

dangirl · 07/11/2005 19:33

oops, spelling. I meant 'yes'

wools · 07/11/2005 20:05

Hi everyone, I had a BFP this morning and am very excited - baby is due on 13th Julay according to my calculations. Also very nervous as I have had a miscarriage before but have been lucky enough to have 2 very healthy ds. I'm 42 years old so hoping my age won't go against me regarding all the usual older mother/baby health issues. Congrats to all of you too!

HumphreysCorner · 07/11/2005 20:48

Ooh-another BFP Congratulations wools !!! and welcome to the ever increasing thread. ((xx))

dangirl-I never had boobs as sore as this last time-ouch! I don't know about anyone else but when it is cold my nips pain is horrendous cos they stick out and catch everything!

ck1-the sickness has really kicked in now at 6 weeks-between weeks 4 and 6 I just had 'orrible cramps and sore boobs-I was praying for some symptons and my wish came true-yuk! Just hope they stay as they all disappeared before my MC-infact, they can stay as long as they like!

So, the list is now as follows:

Me EDD 1st July
lindilou EDD 1st July ??
dangirl EDD 3rd July
spub EDD 7th July
muppet3 EDD 10th July ?
lilianna EDD 11th July
ck1 EDD 13th July
wools EDD 13th July

Good luck to anyone having early scans.

Love to all

Hi Wools!
Welcome aboard. A few of us have had a m/c before so we know where you're coming from.
Hopefully we'll all be feeling a bit more relaxed by Xmas/New Year once the 12 week barrier has passed tho I know that's no guarantee, either!
My boobs are entering rooms a good few seconds ahead of me at the mo and considering that they are a 34FF normally, it's pretty scary!!Just dog tired and also choked with the rotten cold that my dd brought home from nursery. Refuse to take ANY medicine this time round so suffering gracelessly!
Hope you're all doing well.

muppet3 · 08/11/2005 08:47

Had my first doctor's appointment yesterday - I've been given a lovely young female doctor for the duration Weirdly, am feeling much better now - few aches, less bloating and less nausea. Still sore nipples though - which is reassuring me. The doc told me not to worry about symptoms going away, but I can't help it a bit. I'm sure you'll all understand.

Had the whole dates debate too what a mess! I think I'm 5 weeks and due July. She says they have to presume it was earlier for checks etc and therefore I'm 'officially' 8 weeks and due June. Guess it means I should get a scan a bit earlier anyway, which is no bad thing round here (central London).

TheOriginalTicTac · 08/11/2005 09:19

Hi All...sorry but I am gate crashing your party here I am on the Due Feb 06 thread and I can't believe there is a July thread already! Makes me feel so far gone!!!!

Anyway, you accounts of sickness and smells has put a huge smile on my face as I got loads of comfort from those symptoms in the early days. I just wanted to wish you all good luck and I hope you all have sticky beanies!!!

OldieMum · 08/11/2005 10:38

Hello, everyone. I did my test this morning, when my period was a week late, and got a BFP. I googled a due date calculator, and it gave me a due date of 7 July. I am amazed to be pregnant. Last time, DD arrived after 6 cycles of IVF and now we appear to have done it all by ourselves (and me at 43). We had almost given up hope of having a second child. My head is reeling.

spub · 08/11/2005 10:50

Congrats Oldie!
We have the same EDD - I am a mere wisp of a girl at 35!
Welcome aboard.

dangirl · 08/11/2005 13:20

Many congratulations a big welcome to Oldiemum and Wools
A bit busier on here today. Lovely to hear from all!
Have a lovely day!

HumphreysCorner · 09/11/2005 09:02

Sick, sick, sick here but I mustn't complain really.

muppet3-looks like you might be leaving us if you are due in June-see what the scan says. ((xx))

spub-I am 36 so just a tad older than you.((xx))

Off shopping today if I can stop throwing up.

Take care all of you and I'll catch ya's later!

I'm another one from the July 2005 thread! I was due on 26 July but had my DD on 15 July. Good luck everyone! Summer babies are great

dangirl · 10/11/2005 09:33

Morning everyone.

A bit scared today as pregnancy symptoms seem to have disappeared. No more tender breasts...
So hope this is just temporary and means nothing!
I am going away for a long w/e. If things are the same next week I will definately get an early scan.
Maybe I am just being paranoid. I hope so. But having been through MC x2 in the last year I have become rather scared of any symptoms or as here a lack of the same.
Sorry, just rambling on now

Hope everyone else are doing well.

Hugs from
Dangirl

muppet3 · 10/11/2005 10:01

Oh dangirl - hang in there. My symptoms seem to have mostly gone away too, and it's worrying I know. I guess all we can do is wait for now. DH and I are off to a wedding in Merseyside this weekend. I wasn't looking forward to the journey and the effort, but now I'm glad to have the distraction from worrying for a day or two. I hope you're able to relax a bit over your weekend away too. Big sympathy.

dangirl · 10/11/2005 10:07

Thank you muppet3!
Have a lovely w/e.

HumphreysCorner · 10/11/2005 10:51

Enjoy your weekend girls and try not to worry((xx))

Got some pains myself this morning-crampy type like what happened before the MC. Fingers crossed for all of us!

Take care everyone

Thank you girls

Call me a bit silly but I have just done another test. Thinking that if it was faint maybe it was a sign of an early MC. Anyway a very pos! Trying to take that as a good sign.
Will not think about more untill after w/e (who am I kidding)

Hello and congratulations to everyone here. Got my BFP the day before yesterday, and I am not sure whether to join june or july? I went onto a due date predictor which by my dates would make me 9 weeks already but I am sure this is wrong because I had so many negatives and even a negative blood test just over 2 weeks ago. Will have to see doctorand maybe have an early scan. Although I don't want to to have one too early (i.e; if am only a couple of weeks early etc because last time round they did an early scan but detected no heart beat so of course we were petrified for 2 whole weeks that the baby had died... Turned out that it was a 6 week scan. All was fine at 8 weeks.

It would be great if I was at least 5 or 6 weeks because this nausea is terrible already! Still it's kind of feel good nausea
DH and i are so chuffed!

Diddle · 11/11/2005 13:12

how are you all feeling today, any more pains people?? i've had a pressing pain first thing in hte morning, think my bladder must be squishing something. had lots of achy stretching pains and so far so good, i'm doing alright. i'm 10wks today. don't worry ladies, you'll get there. make the most of the lack of symptoms, its not necesserily a bad thing that they have gone away for a bit. But i understand your worry.

good luck to all of you, from the due in june thread.
