Have been dying to start a thread so here goes!

Got a BFP on Wednesday so if all goes well I will be due on the 1st July 2006.

Have 1 DD who is 2 years 3 months and am finally PG again after a MC in June.

Come and join in the fun!

I had a 1/10 chance of Down's from scan+blood test so did go ahaed with CVS. No Down's but was then told that incraesed nuchal fold with normal chromosomes still had increased risk of cardiac and neurological problems. Luckely dd has turned out without of these problems.

Hello just wanted to introduce myself and join in. I'm a 37 year old mum to a 10 year old girl and I'm pregnant again - due on 21st July (my birthday!) so this seemed like the best board to say 'hello' on ..so 'hello'

Hi, Thanks very much for the welcome..been skulking here for a bit just reading but wanted to post as I need a bit of reassurance that I'm normal! I've got my first scan today (I'm 12+3) but because my nausea has gone (I know it's supposed to around now) I don't 'feel' pregnant any more (apart from looking like a heiffer)so I'm having worst paranoid fantasies about having had a missed miscarriage and getting to the scan and them telling me something terrible. Did anyone else feel like this? Am I normal?

Off to do the school run now but will be back shortly to distract myself on here

Welcome Aggiepanther we are due on the same date, lets see who gets there first!!! .

Don't feel bad about being in maternity clothes already i've been in since 6 weeks , my stomach muscles must be knackered.

Not sure whether to try bf this time as when DS was born he was small and (sorry TMI!) my nipples who big and he couldn't latch on very well. Then after giving him a bottle he decided that was a lot less work and refused the breast completely.

Couldn't imagine bf whilst pregnant as mine are so tender!!

Glad to hear most of us are feeling better now. I agree a new thread soon would be a good idea as this one is very long.

jersey · 09/01/2006 08:48

Yes Aggiepanther my results dissapeared earlier this time and I thought the same, turned out I am further on than I thought!! Goodluck.

agalch · 09/01/2006 09:30

Hi all

and hi aggie. This will be my 4th baby and i also feel fab at the mo so i am dreading my scan on Jan 31st(should be 14+4 then) and hope the lo is still ok.You'd think i'd be so used to all this i wouldn't worry eh? Think we are all the same tho.

AggiePanther · 09/01/2006 09:39

Hi Jersey ..well if it's a race you're after I'm up for that
I've also been in maternity clothes for weeks now too ...and it's not just lack of muscle tone..I've put on sooo much weight already ..grazing constantly was the only way to stave off the nausea
Hi agalch good luck with your scan too ..don't think I'll be able to relax until I've seen with my own eyes that the lo is okay ..only 4 hours to go...

agalch · 09/01/2006 09:50

Aggie log back on after your scan and let us know that everythings ok, Good Luck

spub · 09/01/2006 10:00

Would someone like to start us a new July thread?

AggiePanther · 09/01/2006 10:16

That's a good idea ..it does take ages to scroll down through this one....but it can't be me to start it because I'm too new

AggiePanther · 09/01/2006 10:17

Agalch ..just spotted your message.. Will do

Straightforward · 09/01/2006 11:01

Morning ladies
I've just started a new thread - hope that wasn't presumptious, but as it was mentioned and noone had yet done it, I thought I'd take the plunge!!

It's my nuchal fold scan today too - only I've got much longer than 4 hours to wait - 9 hours and counting!!! I'm soooooooo nervous and can't think of anything else. Think this will be a real turning point for me - I haven't properly 'bought in' to being pg yet - once I've seen everything's ok and have told dd, it will be very 'real'!!

Well, I'll post this msg on the new thread too, as I'm not sure of the way things work.
