Have been dying to start a thread so here goes!

Got a BFP on Wednesday so if all goes well I will be due on the 1st July 2006.

Have 1 DD who is 2 years 3 months and am finally PG again after a MC in June.

Come and join in the fun!

Evening ladies

Hi lilianna. Big congratulations to you hun ((xx))

Welcome back carly82-hope it is really good news for you. Hope you don't mind but I am including you in the EDD list below.((xx))

dangirl-before my MC in June I went to see the Dr and she just said to make an appointment with the midwife (she is at my surgery every Thursday morning) so this time I have made an appointment straight away with the midwife as no need to see the Dr. Going on Thursday and will say I've still got pains and will see what happens as no way can we afford a private scan.

Diddle-I'm in Lincolnshire-hope the policy on early scans is different in the country-.

Good news is that my pains have gone-hurrah! Today nausea has hit and SMELLS-ugh, everything smells soooo bad that I could be sick at the thought of it. This particular smell (like an air freshener) is following me around. Hope this is a good sign, but did have this before the MC.

The dates are moving on through July now-soon be an August thread-lol!

Me EDD 1st July
lindilou EDD 1st July ??
dangirl EDD 3rd July
spub EDD 7th July
lilianna EDD 11th July
carly82 EDD ???

Of course, I'm sure most of these dates are wrong and we won't know for sure until we have had our scans. I for one am trying to keep it real until I know otherwise-hope is a good thing.

Having an early night as work is tiring me out and I also have that headache from hell that is all part of the package.

Hope you ladies are all OK and let's hope the list grows.

Hugs

spub · 02/11/2005 08:22

Morning all!
HC - cheers for compiling the EDD stats. Good to keep track.
How you all doing?

HumphreysCorner · 02/11/2005 09:00

Morning ladies

Hi spub-hopefully the list will get longer as when you look on some of the antenatal threads the list is very long. ((xx))

Still got a headache-took 6 paracetamol yesterday and they didn't work so I think from past experience I will drink lots of water (yuk) and eat lots of Rich Tea Fingers and gingerbread men .

Off to the migraine clinic this morning to discuss changing my migraine prescription tablets-the ones I have used for the last 20 years are too expensive so they are trying a cheaper brand. Can't take them while I am pregnant but made the appointment a while ago so hoping to stockpile the tablets for future use as you only get 6 at a time and I do get them bad when AF arrives (hopefully not for another 8 months!)

Then off into town to buy a few more Christmas bits and then to Tescos for food shopping if I can stand the smell.

Hope everyone is full of the joys of winter. Have a good day and I'll check on you later.

Byee

HC - As the Tweenies would say, "Have fun, go mad!"
Spending money always makes me feel better!

Diddle · 02/11/2005 10:01

morning ladies - My private scan cost £50, if anyone can get to Birmingham they have a fab clinic. I went when i was 7wks and 8 wks and we saw the heartbeat both times, although baby was very tiny and heard the heartbeat at 8wks, was fantastic and well worth the money.

If anyone wants the website let me know and i'll create a link.

Good luck to all you July people x x x

dangirl · 02/11/2005 10:10

morning ladies
Anyone know where to go for private scans in London?

Diddle · 02/11/2005 13:02

dangirl - your name is very familiar and now i have discovered why, I was also on the due in Nov thread many months ago and miscarried at 9 wks. So pleased you have become pregnant again, huge congrats to you.

spub · 02/11/2005 15:16

Hear, hear! Good luck all round (our slowly burgeoning tums)
Have booked my private scan for 21 Nov when I'll be 7+3 £75.
Both my previous pgs involved bleeding at about 6 weeks - one had a happy outcome (dd!) and the other not (m/c) so I'm gonna be anxiously waiting for that scan!
Hope you're all well.

lilianna · 02/11/2005 16:35

hi spud what type of scan are you having i just wondered as i had bleeding at 7 weeks in my last pregnancy?

Harriett · 02/11/2005 16:41

Hello July'06'ers, I am from July'05 club, having had my delicious dd on the 26th July this year. Just wanted to wish you all the best for the journey ahead. Good luck!

lilianna · 02/11/2005 16:44

hi i had my baby 23 july this year and due again 11 july next year

spub · 03/11/2005 07:42

Iliana,
It's a viability scan at the Nuffield hopsital. Much like what you'd get at the EPU but I have a dread of going back to mine and last time waited 2.5 hrs to be seen with a ready to explode bladder and then got the bad news. £75 doesn't seem prohibitively expensive when weighed up against my own strong desire to have a less stressful early scan this way.

ck1 · 03/11/2005 10:11

Hi all - got an early BFP yesterday. I am 3+6, edd 13th July.

This is number two - a bit earlier than planned, but last time it took us 18 months, so we started early. Took us precisely one try this time! Typical.

Would be interested to hear of any private scan facilities anyone knows of in Surrey, Kent or South London.

carly82 · 03/11/2005 10:15

Welcome CK1 huge congrats on your bfp just a quick question what test did you use when you got your bfp

dangirl · 03/11/2005 10:24

Many congrats and a Big welcome to ck1.

And a good morning to all of you

Dangirl

ck1 · 03/11/2005 10:25

I used ClearBlue - not the digital one, the "ordinary" one.

I have a regular 28 day cycle and ovulated on day 14. So I was 12dpo at testing. I had tested the day before too and it looked like a line, although not really blue, so that was too early.

HumphreysCorner · 03/11/2005 10:36

Congratulations ck1-welcome to the thread

Hi girls-just off to see the midwife at 11am.

Hope you are all OK.

Went to see the midwife-blah! She was standing in for the usual midwife and filled in a form. When my notes arrive from the hospital the usual midwife will phone me-if I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks I'm to phone her.

The earliest you can get a scan is 10 weeks, if you are lucky. She said just because I have had 1 MC it doesn't mean I'll have another and to keep my fingers crossed!

Off to pick up DD from nursery.

Bye for now

HC: It makes it all a bit more real though doesn't it. Having seen the 1st official person on your travels through pregnancy...

I am waiting to hear from hospital as to when my booking in app. will be. Very much hoping it will be before xmas!
I think I will go for a private scan before then though. Just want to get through the next couple of weeks with no scares, thank you very much!

Hope all are well.

muppet3 · 04/11/2005 11:56

Can I say hello? I'm quite new to all this - I came off the pill in September thinking it would take a while, but it seems I fell on the first cycle! I'm about 5 weeks (pill screwed up dates so impossible to know for sure til dating scan), edd is somewhere around 10 July 06.

I'm 27, married to DH for 8 years, and this is our first time so it's all quite scary. I've been feeling ill for a week or so now - bad PMT-like aches, dizziness and nausea. I saw the practice nurse today - first appointment. GP on Monday. Surprised the nurse didn't do a pregnancy test to confirm the one(s!) I did? I expected that. Anyway, I'll stop for now. Everytime I get a twinge or feel like AF might be starting I panic (a close friend had a missed m/c at the 12 week scan). Trying not to appear a total basket-case to DH, with limited success. One quick question though - are little pains just under the ribs normal? I've had them since shortly after ov, and they're quite sharp.

HumphreysCorner · 04/11/2005 22:59

Welcome muppet3 and big congratulations to you.

We are all paranoid on here everytime we feel twinges. I can't say that I've had pains below the ribs-my pains are AF type and today I have pains in my left tube area. Just see how you are in a few days as you can soon go back to you GP.

No-one does PG tests to confirm your test as the say that the tests available are so accurate.

Hope the nasty nausea doesn't make your 1st few months a misery as I know what it's like. I am eating for England every 2 hours to try and curb the nausea.

Feel free to ask any questions and also feel free to join in our paranoia sessions

Love to all

((xx))
