No news here, still niggling, but have been for 4 weeks now so that means nothing!! Midwife is coming tomorrow, no doubt the dreaded induction word will be mentioned . I think I have until next Friday to produce . Even though i am very nervous of it, and swore I would never have one, a sweep might be on the cards . But if it works I will have to be brave! They only do a maximum of 2 sweeps here, 48hrs apart.

Lots of due dates coming up, good luck everyone .

Yes I'm getting the period pains as well that others are describing, sometimes for quite long periods of time, the mw said today that this along with my lower back pain was encouraging and baby's head 3/5 engaged so we'll wait and see. Had to book my induction today as well but they've given me a full 2 weeks past my due date so fingers crossed it won't come to that....

Have completely lost inspiration with names too....am hoping that when we see the baby a name will pop put a us, but prob more likely to be named 'baby' for ages afterwards!!

wow, so many girls!

also wanted to say to jeely I too was told i was measuring 3-4cm ahead of where I should be (this was at around 33 weeks) and I was also worried about excess fluids / huge babies etc, but they sent me for a scan and turned out everything was perfectly normal - so keep that in mind - it's really hard to measure accurately from the outside of the bump so it might mean nothing.

doubleshot and others dreading induction - remember you don't have to agree to it - they can offer (or recommend) it but it's totally up to you if you decide to accept it or not.

As for me, no sign of anything yet. Been doing a lot of cleaning today though! nesting instinct perhaps?
My next midwife appt is on Tues (I'll be 40+4) and I'll be offered a sweep then - I haven't decided whether or not to take that offer yet or to wait and see a bit longer...

I am so over the horrid bits about being pregnant - constant wanting to pee is driving me crazy and I feel and look like I'm going to pop. Technically I have 16 days to go, but DD was 12 days late so I could be grumpy for another month - aarrrggghhh!

Just a quick update - went in for my induction yesterday (Thurs) at 10am. Fetal distress picked up on trace at about 3.30 led to EMCS at about 4. All very scary but our little girl arrived safe, if small at 5lbs 11oz. She's doing beautifully but I'm exhausted. Will post more when we're home.

Hi all, Congrats on all the births! I'm 38+3 and no signs yet, but didn't have any with DD until my waters broke. As you can see the pregnancy insomnia is well established so have been catching up on MN!

Thanks Catherine - and happy due date to Hattie... Other than a lot of BH and losing what I think must have been my mucus plug (such a gross phrase!) about an hour ago all is quiet here...

Hope everyone else is doing ok - congrats to all the new mothers and babies - so exciting. I love hearing your stories - give me hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel!! Am going to be induced next weekend if nothing happens before then so I am hoping that if all goes well I'll be joining "the other side" soon!

Hi all, congrats to Jen and Spaceal, that's 8 girls now, wow! Wonder will there be an influx of boys next?

I finished work yesterday, was delighted! Looking forward to relaxing next week but anxious to meet this little one I'm carrying around so hopefully I go early like everyone else is telling me I will.

Well it't now been 3 weeks since I lost my mucous plug - echo that it is gross. Thought it might happen or kick off last night as felt sick and peered cramps briefly got much more intense and developed a bit of s rhythm fell asleep though and now they are back to the usual niggles. Think I would rather be in he no signs water breaks baby arrives category.

Nothing happening here. Due tomorrow/Monday (for some reason even though my notes say tomorrow I convinced myself from day 1 that I was due 7th March).

Went out for dinner last night to a fab Lebanese restuarant and our friends couldnt believe I had come out at pretty much 40 weeks pregnant. To be fair though we live about a 20 min cab ride from the West End in London so really could easily get wherever I need to be. Was sad that I didnt feel I could get up and dance with the belly dancers.... I adore belly dancing and I never ever need asking twice to get up - I even got offered a job in a restuarant once. Anyway maybe I should have danced maybe LO would make an appearance.

Our chosen name has been up on our board in our kitchen for 3 weeks which is a record but last night on the way to out DH said he thinks he doesnt like it anymore. So we are back to the drawing board.

Mixed, you can always pump up the music at home to jiggle the LO out...though I tried it 2 weeks ago and he just danced along. Funny that your DH changed his mind! Hope the name will intuitively happen.

CKNY it didnt help that our friends last night all thought his choice was brilliant... although they all have the same heritage so we differ because of this. Plus we have a very common Asian surname in the area we live so I feel a massive part of our childrens heritage is already present (i.e. HV have actually approached the Asian mums asking if their son is DS2 because it is soooo common).

Hi everyone hope your all doing okay.

Congrats to Jen an spacael! Although making me feel a bit nervous now as we both shared the same due date!!

Nothing is happening Here no mucus plug no braxton hicks just a very active baby who wants me to wee all the time!

I was hoping to go to new Brighton today for a walk with dp but were still lying in bed tbh. The joy of this being our 1st we have nothing to get up for on weekends!!

Please tell me when things will start happening i can't take it anymore just one sign please!!
