BTW, has everyone got their sleeping bags, thermos flasks and cooler bags fool of goodies ready for Drom Watch? Grin

rocketleaf · 22/02/2011 22:03

Great news about the pool meds

Argh, don't score as I am out all day tomorrow, and with boo too so she will know if i am constantly checking MN. :o

Medee · 22/02/2011 22:03

too right, shall be logging in from work as soon as possible.

In other good news, MrM got the Ipod working - just connecting it back to the PC worked, but probably needs a new battery.

And if I don't get in very early tomorrow Go, Drom, Go!!!

OP posts:
Scorpette · 22/02/2011 22:27

Oh, Rocket, like you AND Boo won't be checking in all day anyway!

I really hope you have access, love it and have a fab birth experience, Medee :) Good news about the iPod too!

HighPriestessBoo · 22/02/2011 22:39

I don't have a posh phone so will only be able to check by proxy Wink

Casserole · 22/02/2011 22:40

TBH as soon as they get to 6 months or so they don't WANT to look at you much when you're out and about! They'd much rather look at cars / trees / little old ladies cooing / whatever's passing by. We had a travel system last time so the car seat clicked on top, so when he was tiny L faced me; then when he outgrew that he went forward facing - I was sad but he loved it!

Laurie I am so RELIEVED. I was terrified that they were going to keep fobbing me off at every appointment and eventually I'd just go into labour, turn up and they wouldn't let me have one. I am honestly on cloud 9 not to have that battle to face.

Rocket "caseokeyboard" deserves a special mention Grin

Medee great news about the pool. WHEN will someone birth in mine though?! Perhaps I'll just use it as a giant paddling pool when the weather gets nicer...

Muser · 23/02/2011 07:38

Am sat here all misty eyed at the thought of Drom meeting Berwhale soon.

milanomum · 23/02/2011 07:49

Drom Am thinking of you! It should be happening right about now

Bitey brilliant news about the job! you obviously showed great talent in water-mopping.

Medee it's just nice to know that the possibility is there, right? I wasn't allowed to use the pool when I gave birth because I was 10cms when I got to the hospital and just needed to push her out - May that be the only reason why you won't get to use yours too!

cass How does it feel to have a meet-the-baby date? Fab news.

laurielou · 23/02/2011 07:56

Happy Birthday Berwhale! I hardly slept with excitement last night.

Cass I'm so pleased that you're relieved to have a date. You can now just sit back (ha! as if with a little one, I'm sure), & enjoy the last month of diffment. I shall need a month to recover from all the excitement of the past few weeks......

Med Of course, you aren't giving us a birth free month are you Grin. Excellent news about the pool. Of course you'll love it, & of course it'll be free for you. It wouldn't dare be any other way after all these shenanigans.

Now, where's that thermos of tea? Anyone want a French Fancy to go with it?

Rooting for drom and Berwhale today. Its times like these that I bought the iPhone for as myself and boo will no doubt be huddled round it while miniboo plays with his freinds :o

AlpinePony · 23/02/2011 09:11

drom All the best for today - am so thrilled this day has come! :)

Ivegotmrbitey · 23/02/2011 10:06

Thanks for the congrats all! I am going to wait until the offer has been made in writing till I make the "guess what?" announcements.

Fab news about the pool med Smile

Medee · 23/02/2011 10:15

I wonder if Berwhale is here yet, hopefully Drom was top of the queue and there aren't too many emcs.

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 23/02/2011 10:24

I'm so glad to hear they had drom down for an elcs, I was a little worried they'd go through the bullshit of an induction. I hope she's got her trigger finger on the morphine right now! Grin

PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 10:51

Congrats on the job Bitey.

Just checking in on Berwhale...

Orchid12 · 23/02/2011 11:30

Am joining the pacing..... Scropey pass that gin round Smile

Big Grin to MiteyBitey on the job. Here, have a Biscuit and a Wine - no, don't turn your nose up. Biscuits and wine do go together and is a classy combination IMHO!

ginhag · 23/02/2011 11:37

Pacing here also :)

And well done bitey that's ace news.

To go against the pushchair flow, mooch stayed rear-facing until we stopped using the pushchair, age 2.5-3ish....wasn't a great big yogurt knitting decision, we just both talk a lot and it made chatting easier. I personally think there is a lot to be said for the rear facing thing but, as with all this stuff there are a million different 'best ways'...well actually there prob aren't a million in this case but you know what I mean.

In other news, I'm a bit low that mr g is working like a bastard when he should be on pat leave. We are on 2 different planets at the mo, although he is really trying, is just tough bollocks really. And mooch is poorly and up all night coughing. My mum may have to stay forever....

ginhag · 23/02/2011 11:39

I also never bought a mclaren

ginhag · 23/02/2011 11:41

So, bets on Berwhale? I reckon boy, 8lb 12.

rocketleaf · 23/02/2011 11:41

Sorry things are tough at the mo, gin is the end in sight with the ridic work schedule? So glad you have your mum there to help out tho. I am missing TB a LOT this week and he said he was missing us both this morning which made me a bit teary need to HTFU.

Probably as many 'best ways' as there are people with kids. In the same way that TB is not perfect but he is perfect for me. (oh lordy, where are the wet mackeral?)

ginhag · 23/02/2011 11:42

(by the power of random!)

Check all this cluster posting, spending waaaaaaay too much time alone (well, with the midgester obv)

ginhag · 23/02/2011 11:48

Thanks for saving me from endless cluster posts pocketrocket... sorry you missing your man.

There isn't really an end in sight yet, as the shit just keeps being shovelled on. Obviously if he has a breakdown he'll be taking a bit of time off but we prob wouldn't see him then as he would be in a nice padded room somewhere...

This is why I generally want to kill anyone who thinks running a business is a cushy option. You know, the whole 'oooo you are your own boss, you can make your own hours, holiday when you like' etc. Because yes, it sooo works like that Hmm
