Just spotted how close we are to the end of the thread - wonder if we should get started on the new one. Who's starting it? And does anyone know how Drom is?

OP posts:
Scorpette · 17/03/2011 11:40

Oh, poor Muse and Bobkate - you must have been so scared and stressed. Sounds like she's a little toughie, but it's Not Nice, not nice at all. Please give her lots of extra snuffles from her doting PESH Aunties (and hugs for you too) :)

Lines, thank you so much! Have already bought lots from you so will defo be buying even more now! You're a bloody leg-end, so you are Grin

Soz I was a bit silent y'day - headache went crazy. Spoke to physio; cos of my upper stomach muscles separating, I'm going to end up with a big domed tum (from ribs to pubis) once my body gets back to normal, so that is fun to know. I did wonder why no other differs have a bump that starts right under their norks Confused and now at least I know why (is also why it makes it hard for me to walk, as it fucks my balance).
Considering that my stretchmarks are so bad that they're actually above my belly button now, I am feeling particularly sextacular. Have always had thin rib area and smooth tum - rest of body vile - so pg has basically rendered me repulsive for life. Saw TYF looking at my stretchmarks in alarm last night; he says they're 'fine' and went on about how they'll soon fade but the stretchmarks I got from a growth spurt at 15 on my hips and thighs didn't fade until I was 30, so am not hopeful.

Sorry this is so pathetic - pales into insignificance compared to worrying about Bobkate (and of course, the poor woman on the March bus), but I just feel like I can't cope with any more shitness on top of what I'm already dealing with!

Truffkin · 17/03/2011 11:49

Thanks for opinions oh wise preggos, I am coming to my senses and TGB is also coming round to not telling anyone yet. I'm hoping between us we can get past the not drinking thing through stealth. Dinner might be a challenge so I will need to make one glass of wine go a long way and then in the evening I'm hoping everyone will be too preoccupied to notice what I'm drinking and if I order lager, TGB can drink it for me!

Am feeling a little sorry for myself today as I developed a cold overnight on Tuesday and am feeling very snotty. Also I had to get up twice in the night to go for a wee, what is that about? It can't be differ related yet surely? I loves my sleep so was less than chuffed about the interruptions Grin

Medee am sending sneezy thoughts your way (but not from my cold, that would be hideous)

Nice work on the discount code as well, I shall be stashing that one away for some shopping in a few months time.

Truffkin · 17/03/2011 11:51

Scorps sorry XP, have some (((hugs))) (what of it?)

Scorpette · 17/03/2011 12:00

Only twice in the night? Luxury, I tells thee! Wink Colds do always make me need to wee more, so it could be that

Truffkin · 17/03/2011 12:12

Yay, it's just the cold then. I'll be back to sleeping for 10 hours straight in a few days then?!

Muser · 17/03/2011 12:27

Drom is ok Medee, battling through the scary early weeks. Had lunch with her, MrsFC, Cho and Bessie on Tuesday. Was aces. Me, Drom and MrsFC looked like a Bugaboo Bee advert as we flounced along. Actually got commented on by passers by. Blush

rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 12:46

Glad to hear she is doing ok! How lovely that you are all getting together

score sorry to hear things are getting you down. Have this gin compress for your belly (little known cure for stretch marks) and you can have a suck on it when you need a gin top up.

truffs yeeees its just the cold, but don't be surprised if this particular cold symptom lingers for, oh, about 8 months? :o

owlbooty · 17/03/2011 12:48

OccyOccyOccy I like your thinking and will add heap of bacon to tomorrow's breakfast Grin

Truffulant The twice a night thing wears off a bit around 12 weeks then starts again around, oooh, 14 weeks. I have had one, yes, one full night's sleep without a wee since I got diffed. I am considering it as preparation.

Scropy there are some good pilates exercises that can help your upper stomach muscles go back where they are meant to afterwards. We're doing a few of them already, in particular the on all fours and try and bring baby and pelvic floor up to spine (if you can imagine that). Kind of tucks everything back in although not much use for you right now as I recall you saying your legs were being problematic.

I am not senior enough to start the new thread, but can whoever does please label me as:

Owlbooty, suddenly weeble-shaped, due 7th August

Bites I have, for the sake of the baybee, got a large salad and a prune yoghurt plus fruit for lunch. Pliz to ignore the 4 babybels.

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/03/2011 13:01

How many weeks are you truff? Just thinking in the early days ie pre the vomming I was up in the night to pee for about a week. Something to do with that early expansion putting the squeeze on your bladder. Then it went and all was well. Now at twenty one weeks I am enjoying being bloody boiling at night and snoring like a fat man while breaking wind noxiously.

The FDH woke me last night in a right huff about having sleep next to wife that turned into a builder and stomped off into the spare room only to return within seconds as the vomitting cat had struck again.

Hey-ho, instant karma for meaness right there Grin

Would love to see a gaggle of FESH flouncing their bugaboos! Will see if it is on you tube yet!

Is anyone else holding off updating the not list to see if minimedee is going to put in an appearance?

rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 13:08

I think medee should do the new thread.

booty babybels are full of calcium which is good for differs (i was obsessed with them for months before and in early diffment)

I would like my Not List entry changed to:

Rocketleaf, sprouting out all over the place.

K thanks!

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/03/2011 13:11

Heh heh, serves him right, Bitey! Grin

I'm so glad to hear Drom is doing well and am also Envy of the Fesh posse terrorising That London. Keep reprazentin', gyals!

2 wks ago, I was getting up for a wee every 40 mins in the night, but The Lad has now got bored of bladder bongo and is exploring my central tum and ribs.

Booty, I can't get on all fours because the tops of my feet are so comically bloated! Also, the physio has warned me off trying any yoga or pilates tum exercises for the mo, as the upper separation is so big that I can't seem to work the upper and lower abs in isolation from each other (so will just make everything worse right now). There's stuff I can do when The Lad is here, she says. I have to go for a big assessment in my grundies in a fortnight - I haven't worn a swimming cossie since my early 20s as I hate my body so much, so feel almost as EEK about that as I do giving birth! (Medical peeps can stare at my flange as much as they like - I dunno what it looks like!)

On a good note, TYF brought the pram home and it is ace! The condition is superb - absolutely as good as new. We can't quite work out the zip thing that makes the body of the pram/pushchair smaller or larger, so anyone with knowledge of the Pliko pramette, have you any tips?

I feel all melty seeing the pram in the spare bedroom Grin

Muse So sorry you had such a stressful night last night. I really hope everything's ok and bobkate certainly sounds like she's not too traumatised by it all so that can only be a good thing.

Truffs I remember having to pee all the time during the first 3 months and read that it's something to do with the relaxing hormones your body releases. Get used to it.

lines You might cause a divorce in my house. That or we just won't eat much for a while to compensate my spending. Thank you!

meds! A St. Paddy's baby would be extra cool. Not that I'm biased or anything.

Scorps You never get a break do you?! Don't worry about your tum until scorpino is at least on solids. I'm sure you'll get back into fine form. I have heard that Bio oil is supposed to work well with stretchmarks but you probably know that already

Am doing the OfficeSnorting again thanks to you lot. Tis not classy.

Bites Mr Boots left the bedroom in a huff at about 5am after I punched him the second time for snoring and waking me up. The cat was sitting outside on the landing looking traumatised. He probably thinks we're going to get a divorce. Who will buy him kitty treat sticks then, hmm?

Milano good work Grin

Scorpetyscorp SQUEEEE at pram :)

I only want a bugaboo bee if it actually does have stripes like a bee. That would be absolutely ace.

AlpinePony · 17/03/2011 15:27

Oh shit. I lost my stake in the medee sweepstake. :( Come on medee.

Scorpette · 17/03/2011 15:33

They've missed a trick there, that's for sure, Booty. The Chameleon comes in a variety of Paul Frank options, which did sorely tempt me.

This is the pram we've been given, BTW. Not colourful, but v stylish and lightweight and the underneath bag is huuuuuge. The guy has given us the rain cover, bottle holder and everyfink, so am v :)

Cheers for the Bio-oil tip, Milano, but they're beyond all that now, I think. I slather on Mama Mio Tummy Butter every day to no avail. My folks have just come back from Morocco (rained every day and barely got above freezing and Mum's got a cold, poor buggers) and they've bought me loads of Argan oil, which is supposed to work wonders so fingers crossed!

Just been to MW appointment. Bump is now measuring normal size (now they know about the upper tum prob, they're taking that into account, size-wise), heartbeat strong and the loveliest sound in the world, urine clear of any nasties, BP perfect, baby's head is already down but not engaged, as fits my family history of prem lays. So knowing The Lad is A-okay has cheered me up totally :):):)

Scorpette · 17/03/2011 15:35

Gah - NEWS FLASH! Kelly Brook is pg. Apparently, she's 3 months gone and knows it's a girl (bit early to tell, surely - unless they've had one of those costly private sex scan thingies). I look forward to hating the glowing bitch...
