Sorry things are so hard haglet is there any sign of Mr G's workload abaiting?

I bet that berwhale will a big boy wieghing in at 9lb 8oz!

Orchid12 · 23/02/2011 11:57

ah Ginster you sound like you need your mum at the moment. Glad to hear your all ok, but not glad to hear Mr Gin is working so hard.

I think Gin and I have the same pushchair. We've also kept O rear-facing because I like chatting to him, although I could turn him round if I wanted to. TBH, he doesn't go it in much now at 2.5, but I did really like him facing me when he was younger. I also never bought a Maclaren (despite my mother telling me I NEEDED one!), I stuck with my big bulky pushchair the whole time. I reckoned that as I'd spend a small fortune on it, I might as well use the darn thing until it falls apart, and the umbrella fold prams don't fit in my car!! We do have a Silver Cross unbrella fold that we take on holiday, but I hate it because it feels so heavy to push and I'm a short arse and the handbars are non-adjustable so I feel awkward when out with it. Plus, O is a big boy and looked more comfortable in the Bugaboo than the smaller Silver Cross. That said, as Rocket etc pointed out, it's horses for courses, and people will find their own way as to what prams etc they prefer and suits their lifestyle.

Bets on Berwhale: boy 9lb 2oz

Orchid12 · 23/02/2011 12:05

Just to add, I bought the Silver Cross on Ebay for a very good price. I washed all the covers etc and it's great. It was in virtually new condition for I think £40! I would highly recommend using Ebay for second hand prams. Maclaren hold their value better so I would expect to pay more second hand, which is the reason I went for the one I did - I knew I wasn't going to use it a lot so didn't want to fork out loads for Ryan Air to just chuck it around!

laurielou · 23/02/2011 12:09

Ah Gin nice to see you here, but sorry things are tough. Friends of ours have their own business & I've always said its the tougher option. I can leave at 4pm 6pm & just leave any shit at the door. So sympathies.

Rocket you soppy mare Grin

Berwhale - boy 10lb 1oz!

ginhag · 23/02/2011 12:16

Well, due to mr gin being insane very driven, he actually has 2 businesses. One with me and the other one I have minimal input with. Oh, and also a third project he's trying to get off the ground.

The bit that is REALLY hard is when you start employing people and therefore relying on people other than yourselves. As just when you need things to work, all manner of shit can go wrong.

Anyway. This is DROM DAY!!!! And I shall stop complaining all over it. Is just a bit lonely at the mo, but we'll be fine (brave :) )

milanomum · 23/02/2011 12:47

Wonderful news! Congrats to the Drom family.
So Berwhale really is a little whale. I am amazed baybees can be that big, just amazed. And so glad she wasn't induced!

Scorpette · 23/02/2011 12:53

Hooray for Drom! Hooray for Berwhale! And Hooray for her unravaged foof! Grin

Biggest kisses to Family Drom - wonderful, wonderful news. Can't wait to find out the flava and more :)

Ariesgirl · 23/02/2011 12:53

Dammit Ginny, I was just going to guess Boy 10lb4!

Happy, happy day!

Muser · 23/02/2011 12:55

Aww. Welcome to the world Berwhale. Hope you and mum are doing well.

PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 13:01

Brilliant news for familyDrom, congratulations my dear! I hope you are happily snuffling Berwhale's head right at this mo. xxx

ginhag · 23/02/2011 13:04

Apparently he's gorgeous (natch) and sleepy. And our cam is very happy :)

She plans to pop in when she works out which way is up :)

Ps thanks for the support. Highly emotional at the mo, and as my mum has decided I have to be positive and upbeat every second of the day, and mr gin is seriously stressed himself, I don't really have anywhere I can wobble ATM. Which is not great. Mum is being wonderful, she just places a little too much emphasis on the whole 'positive' thing (it got her thru the big C so maybe I should stfu.)

rocketleaf · 23/02/2011 13:05

Just running in from children bedlam to say massive congrates from me and boo Blimey what a whopper!! :D

LadyGoneGaga · 23/02/2011 13:06

Fantastic news! Congratulations to Drom and family and big welcome to (not so) little Berwhale.

Really feel for you, Gin. MiniG's Dad was a lecturer and in summer hols when he was born so had lots of support. Kidnap your Mum! Are you finding it any easier to slot back to a routine this time round? Or is it just as hard?

BarbiesBeaver · 23/02/2011 13:12

Yay! SO happy for you Drom! Your positivity all throughout the pregnancy has been inspirational. Welcome minicamel!

PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 13:16
Medee · 23/02/2011 13:20

Hurrah for the CamelCalf

OP posts:
Scorpette · 23/02/2011 13:36

Bloody hell, I've hit my bump TWICE on the same door handle when leaving the room now. Why have I developed pregnancy amnesia upon departing the living room?! Confused Ouchy.

LadyGoneGaga · 23/02/2011 13:38

It's because you lose awareness of where all your perimeters are, Score - your brain just can't comprehend how big your bump is! I used to do it all the time. And used to get stuck in car parks as totally misjudged how close to other cars I could park.
