Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ocarina · 16/03/2011 18:10

:( I can't begin to imagine. There are no words.

rocketleaf · 16/03/2011 18:14

I don't want to look but its obviously not good news. My heart goes out to them. :(

ocars I would say JL or Debenhams. I got 2 Debenhams none underwired teeshirt bras, which give a similar support to underwired as they are padded but are more comfy, that have done me proud. I suspect these are now getting a bit too small again but I want to hold off getting any more until I can buy nursing bras.

truffs I am not sure a scan at 6 weeks would tell you anything an HTP won't, will it? And it might just freak you out if you don't see a heart beat. I told a few people I was diffed at 6 weeks based on several positive tests (my sister and 2 best friends), but as lady said they were the people who knew we were TTC and who I would have needed in case of a miscarriage. If you can trust them to keep it under their hats then could you just tell them that you have had a positive test but its very early days?

I am a baby whisperer!! My friend has just brought her 4 week old round, he wouldn't stop crying for her and shut up as soon as given to me. Of course, I am pretty sure it will be the opposite case when Sprout gets here :o (and he may have just been suffocated confused into submission by enormous but none milk producing norks)

HighPriestessBoo · 16/03/2011 19:26

Oooh Rocket That is a brilliant sign. Happened to me when I held the girl next door when diffed with smallboo - and he was an angel baybee wasn't he? You've got the calm vibes all around you.

HighPriestessBoo · 16/03/2011 19:57

btw, i meant angel baybee as in calm and luffly. Most of the time.

LadyGoneGaga · 16/03/2011 19:58

That is terrible news. I don't think you ever get over something like that. My Mum had similar happen and she still cries about it if we ever talk about it. As do I. So scary.

Ocky Bravissimo are good for bras especially if you have developed a large pair. Pricey though. M&S are a bit rubbish at fitting I think.

You've obviously a natural, Sprocket. I saw some babies when picking up MiniG from nursery today. Very cute! Getting broody.

rocketleaf · 16/03/2011 20:22

God I hope I am a natural, that would come in handy. But it was prob just a freak occurrence. And yes smallboo was 'heaven in a boy' as I recall. :o Actually he has been the only really wee baby I have held that didn't wriggle like a sack of puppies and just chilled out looking at you with those big eyes.

In less happy news it would seem Wed evening free yoga will be no more as of end of March due to funding cuts. I am quite surprised it lasted this long tbh. It might change to earlier which will be fine for me but be able to find another venue that won't cost too much. I can still get free yoga during the day at a centre further away so not all is lost for me but I am saddened for the others.

rocketleaf · 16/03/2011 20:24

opps think I missed out a whole line there. that was meant to say 'change to earlier which would be fine for me but not for those that work (ie the majority) or we might be able to find another venue...'

Muser · 17/03/2011 00:12

Anyone up here? Deli is quiet and I am wrung out. See Deli for details. I need gin and violence.

rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 07:39

muse I am so sorry no one was about to chat to last night!!! I hope Bobkate is still her usual happy self this morning and that all the tests come back clear. you must be going spare but I hope all three of you got some sleep last night. Keep us posted as to what's going on and will be sending happy healthy vibes to BK all of today and tomorrow.

Muser · 17/03/2011 09:03

Thanks rocket. We got a good night's sleep and she seems her normal self. She's such a cutie.

linesandlines · 17/03/2011 09:47

Morning PESHES. You chicks are all lovely enough to regularly talk my site loveit, so to say thanks, please have 20% off just for you. The code is PESH20, and it'll run until 31st July. Give me a poke after the summer sale and I'll re-do it for you so all the duffers & soon to be duffed can use it too. Take care & congratulations. xxx

Medee · 17/03/2011 10:06

oh, thank you Lines, that is very nice of you. I'm going to wait till baby is here and get some stuff in the bigger sizes. (I'm also on t'other place, the one who is top of the about-to-pop list there too!)

Muse, sorry no-one was around. If I had got up about 3am as I thought I might I could have popped online, but I managed to get back to sleep. Glad she's back to normal now.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 10:07

muse she is indeed cute to the maximum. Sounds to me like they might be being over cautious if she is feeling fine in herself. Glad you had a restful night. I guess you just have to wait and see what comes back now but at lest they didnt phone last night so bloods must be ok.

linesandlines that is so sweet!! Thanks very much, question is when (if at all) are you going to get the stripey leggings back in stock for size 0-3? Wink

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/03/2011 10:10

Oooooh shopping!

Um, is black pudding OK for differs? The reason I ask is that my bowl of special K only fueled me to work and then I was STARVING. So I troughed a bacon and black pudding bap without pausing to breathe, let alone consider the black pudding/ differ relationship.

muse glad that bobkate has resumed normal service, sorry noone was around last night. That must have been really scary, hope you both have a lovely day in compensation for it. hugs fishslaps

Medee · 17/03/2011 10:13

I've never been aware of black pudding being verboten, Bitey. Trying to think what in it might not be. It's all cooked anyway.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 10:17

As med said, I think its fine as it is cooked bitey it cured meats and sausages that could be a risk (salami, parma ham etc) unless you cook them. I will be getting round this by making salami pizzas for tea tomorrow, mmm.

med you still here then? :o

Medee · 17/03/2011 10:25

yup! Don't think my baby will be celebrating St Patrick's day Shamrock

OP posts:
linesandlines · 17/03/2011 10:40

which ones do you mean rocketleaf?

rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 10:45

tweaks meds nipples, you never know!

lines sorry yes there are lots, I meant the Green baby ones, any of the colours but esp, the purple or teal ones. Love them!!

linesandlines · 17/03/2011 10:47

Sorry, they're from the Green Baby Winter 2010 range, so won't be back. :(

rocketleaf · 17/03/2011 10:52

Ah well, I thought as much. not to worry. Thanks!

Muser · 17/03/2011 10:53

Thanks for the code lines, now I can buy some girl stuff. Yay!

owlbooty · 17/03/2011 11:03

Oooooh shopping indeed Grin

Bites I caved and had fried egg, tomato and potato cakes this morning (sneakily after Mr Boots had left for work). I've decided special K is just cardboard. Might as well eat the bloody packet instead.

lines whoop! Lots of gorgeous things :)

Big smooches, gin and violence for Muse , glad Bob is alright.

Ocarina · 17/03/2011 11:08

Owlie I believe breakfast ought to include protein, so yours sounds far better for you than the nasty cardboard stuff. (Not that I've ever been close enough to a packet of special K to check its nutritional contents, but still).

Muse I don't know about the possibility of BobKate needing IV antibiotics (v glad they decided not to bother), but it definitely sounds like you need IV gin. Hope you have a restful day today, and very glad it looks like she's OK and it was a lot of fuss over nothing.

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/03/2011 11:16

That's good news, will have another one tomorrow!

boots the baby book says this is the time when the baybee really starts packing on the pounds so is understandable that special k and its ilk are not up to the job. That is my excuse and I am sticking to it! What's for lunch?

meds?

BOO

Still plenty of time for Patrick/ Patricia to put in an appearance Grin
