oooh bubba that sounds like a fab day! What is a hot cuppa???

cupcakes I agree it sounds like you should be timing them just in case.

Good luck for tomorrow faraway

Its blowing a gale here and pouring down so after all of my moaning I have been grateful to stay at home today Grin

DS1 has just asked if we can have a restaraunt tea (I think he means a takeaway) def my son!

Well no more ABs for me so tonight is Wine night. (love it!!!)

LadyBuzz · 04/02/2011 16:16

disclaimer I love the new emoticon - I am NOT a lush Grin

Crystylline · 04/02/2011 16:19

i want to be a lush again!!

gl faraway and katie hope you get in there soon

gotta love friends bubba - it's brill to be spoiled. Smile

Crystylline · 04/02/2011 16:29

oh and what's ABs, ladyB?

ThreeBubbasAndManyBumps · 04/02/2011 16:33

YAY for no more ABs LadyB (ABs = anti-chaotics (anti-biotics) :o )

Wine for me too please!! :o

Fuzzywood · 04/02/2011 16:48

Ooh just needed to use this Wine think I shall partake of a glass or maybe 2 later. Had a very chilled day here too, DH out with DD until 3 so she's asleep on the sofa and my mum has just got the little man to sleep.
Hope something happens for you later Running.
You got your stop watch out yet Cupcakes ?

CupcakesHay · 04/02/2011 16:58

Grin - you lot!

Not timing as they're really sporadic and not getting any stronger - just staying at the same intensity as well. Sad but hopefully it's a sign that something might happen naturally - but no worries yet running - not pushing in just yet Grin

Although if dribbling on your pillow is a sign of babies coming then give me 3 minutes and mine'll be here. I went for a 2hour nap and my pillow was SOAKED!

Like the new emoticon too - but still wish they had a piggy one! Although we won't need that one soon...

Who have you got coming tomorrow crysty and have you decided on a birth partner or a doula?

bubba your friend sounds amazing - just what you needed! And it'll be so nice for you to have DH home for paternity leave - make sure you save the lovely things for him like Lachlan's nappies! Grin

Love your son ladybuzz and love the plan to have a glass of wine tonight. And agree with you crysty - dying to get tipsy (probably only take 2 apple martinis and i'll be under the table!Wine)

Aaah - and love the fact you are having a bit of peace fuzzy

Roll on postnatal chat board!!!!

Hmm think i might have just had a show. I asked on here (as i'm always clueless) and people seem to think it was!

(TMI coming...) wasn't bloody but looked like snot! Nice! But i don't get a lot of discharge as a rule.... so maybe I might end up pushing in after all?

Off to pub with Dh tonight - although I think he's using it as a diversion tactic to take my mind off the stupid BHs....

And if anything does happen - i promise to pop in!

ThreeBubbasAndManyBumps · 04/02/2011 17:57

Make sure he stays off the Wine booze cupcakes just in case!!! :o :o

Madinitials · 04/02/2011 19:25

Wine ooh I like this one and can't WAIT to have a real one!!

Cupcakes sounds like a show, sounds like your (TMI) mucous plus is giving away - how exciting!! I had this plus a bloody show after my sweep and it means that things are moving.

Running hope you have been admitted now.

Trees good luck for tomorrow.

Got my second sweep tomorrow, fingers crossed it does the job. Better have another creme egg.

Crystylline · 04/02/2011 21:18

eventful evening here!

MW came round and bump's heartbeat dropped down way too low, so got packed off to hospital for monitoring.

CPG was fine - heartrate and movements all normal by the time I got there.

had a sweep and started having a few contractions whilst she was doing the sweep! crushed the poor woman's fingers!

anyway, i'm partially dilated, nearly fully effaced and head is about as engaged as it's going to be without being in full labour. very favourable cervix (gold star for good behaviour)

have been sent home to sleep and hospital MW thinks bump is very much on his way!

hurrah! hurrah! Grin

(bet i'm still sitting here on monday now i've said that!)

Madinitials · 04/02/2011 21:47

Oh Crystyl, what a busy time you've had. Must have been a bit scary at first but great stuff that bump is okay.

So exciting that baby is on his way, bet your immediate contractions gave the MW a fright, how funny!! And what a well-behaved cervix you have - A+ for sure!! Expecting a birth announcement from you by the end of tomorrow.

Pootle78 · 04/02/2011 22:00

Evening!

JUst a quick hello, we're still in hospital as Jacob is having problems feeding and thought today he may have an infection and were considering doing a lumber puncture. Luckily he's kept his temp down but paed will make decision tomorrow about coming home. They had better let us, I have Sunday lunch at my Mum's booked in! Last night was very traumatic as he wouldn't settle was very upset which made me upset and we went round in a circle culminating in 25 mins sleep since 6am Thursday!

Congratulations to all the new mummy's!

Good luck and sending pain free vibes to the induction ladies

cupcakes sounds very promising I was in labour within 10 mins of show so fingers crossed!

Crystylline · 04/02/2011 22:01

thanks mad i'm a bit excited, but trying to relax!

off to have a bath and see if these contractions keep coming. they don't feel very strong atm, but hope that things keep moving along. had a show too.

blimey, bodies are funny things. nada for days and then... all of a sudden!

Crystylline · 04/02/2011 22:04

xpost with pootle so sorry Jacob's poorly. (beautiful name btw)

glad you're in hospital getting good care though. hopefully he'll settle and the treatment will take effect in time for tomorrow so you can have lunch and a bit of rest for all of you.

sending happy, positive thoughts in your direction. Smile

Madinitials · 04/02/2011 22:07

Pootle glad that Jacob is a bit better and hope you can both go home soon.

farawaytrees · 04/02/2011 22:38

Thanks for all your good wishes. Just making a final check that I have everything packed and phones and cameras etc charged before tomorrow morning.

I hope Running did manage to get in for the induction in the end, sounds pretty stressful.

Pootle I hope Jacob gets better soon.

Madinitials good luck with the second sweep tomorrow.

Cupcakes and Crystyl seems like you won't have much longer to wait (fingers crossed) Smile

Aaah - lovely name pootle - and sorry to hear he's poorly, but fingers crossed for your sunday lunch! You're a girl afetr my own heart Grin

And crysty hope all ok with you and the contrctions are still coming. Pleased baby's heartbeat is back to normal. Must have been a bit worrying for you.

I'm hoping we can update the list with a few new babies tomorrow - especially rock, crysty and running

And mayeb you too trees and madin!

As for me - went to pub - which was a HUGE effort, but pleased we went and as DH said, it took my mind of things - although I was a bit useless on the quiz machine when the BHs came- as i just closed my eyes and did breathing.

Not sure but have a feeling that it might happen sooner than I thought - had another rush to the loo, which is NOT like me. And th BHs seem a little bit less sporadic - so maybe they're working their way up to contractions? And they seem a little bit more painful.

DH is going to look at instructions for the TENS machine - as i've forgotten how to use it. ANd my poor dad is on stand-by to be woken up for a hospital run in the night - but i still think if anything happens, it'll be at least the morningHmm - who am i? Dr Cupcakes???

Hope you manage to get some sleep at some stage pootle

And hope the Iron business is sorting itself out ladybuzz

Off to try and get a bit of sleep now... Smile

x-post with JJKM - HELLO! pootle popped!

OP posts:
CupcakesHay · 05/02/2011 00:33

Hmm - sitting here with DH trying to figure out if these are turning into contractions. god i wish there was a manual for this! Confused

OP posts:
CupcakesHay · 05/02/2011 02:32

Well.... have spoken to hospital - contractions are about 4 mins apart - so just woken my poor dad and making him acup of coffee - and then it's off to hospital.

Dh distracted me by letting me watch 2 ew seasons of glee - and feeling okay - although secretly bricking it.

At moment, feel most worried i'll get there and look folloish and they'll turn me away Confused but hopefully not...

Smile

wow lots of contractions and well-behaved cervixes - good studying from crystyll's cervix in particular. Teacher in me esp. proud :) Hoping next posts will move us all to a graduates thread as jjkm says :) good luck everyone!! :)

Crystylline · 05/02/2011 06:46

hurrah cupcakes hope all is well and your braxton hicks produce a fab baby this morning! Grin

i've just got up and think contractions are about 10-12 mins apart, so nothing urgent just yet. going to sit here, eat brekkie, ponder my navel and relax.

bubba my cervix learnt from the best Grin Grin

and yes, really should have a grads thread given there's only a few of us left popping/to pop.

Fuzzywood · 05/02/2011 07:51
