Pootle how lovely, Congratulations!

Welcome loopey

rock I am sure I will have missed you but I am thinking of you.

jjkm good to hear from you, fingers crossed you will get your babies home soon.

Still feeling crappy here, I had to stop taking my iron because of the ABs and my iron levels are really low, so now I'm stuck inside cause I feel so dizzy if I try to do anything Angry so far I've managed the postbox (500yds) and Morrisons - very bad!!
Its driving me MAD!

RunningKatie · 03/02/2011 11:11

Right, have booked for reflexologist to come round at 6pm tonight, she said there's no guarantees but at the least it'll relax bump and I ready for tomorrow. Given how my mind's racing I don't think that's a bad thing.

CupcakesHay · 03/02/2011 11:23

poor you buzz - any idea how long you need to take the ABs for? And i thought you were over the worse. Sad

And pleased you've got your reflexology in running - also - i've decided you're having a boy - nearly all of us late ones are having boys. Have a look at the list... So get thinking of those boys names! Smile

LadyBuzz · 03/02/2011 12:03

cupcake I took the last 1 this morning so back on the iron tomorrow, hopefully I will start to pick up soon.

I just want to get back to normal!

Madinitials · 03/02/2011 12:05

Hello all,

I haven't been on for a while and am still waiting for little boy blue to arrive. I was due on 28th, had sweep on Tues, 2 shows yesterday and due for another sweep on Sat. Is anyone as fed up as I am?! Cannot believe these boys are so lazy!!

Crystylline · 03/02/2011 13:21

hello all,

welcome madinitials and yes, we are def feeling fed up! the main outlets for stress relief seem to be Krispy Kremes, so grab a box and join us!

sorry to hear you're feeling crap ladyb hope you manage to get out and about soon. if the weather your way isn't too miserable can you at least sit/walk around the garden? a bit of sunshine always does me the power of good.

katie and cupcakes reflexology was brilliant. even if the most it's done is relax me, it was well worth it.

bump had a little dance all the way through and have come home feeling great and positive.

I might even go back again after my sweep tomorrow if no change, as i think it was a really good experience.

farawaytrees · 03/02/2011 13:25

Madinitials I know how you feel, my baby was due on 22 Jan and still no sign, its taking forever!

I had a sweep yesterday which started some cramps and back pain but now all gone quiet again.
Congratulations to Pootle, the eviction notice must have worked Smile

Madinitials · 03/02/2011 13:44

Oh Trees, 22nd? I feel I should stop whinging as I'm nearly a week behind you!! When and what's the next step for you if you get no joy from yesterday's sweep?

Crystal glad that the reflexology has chilled you out. I've been doing the opposite and dancing to my XBox Kinect in the hope that it jogs baby out.

RunningKatie · 03/02/2011 13:45

That sounds just what I need Crysty, really pleased you enjoyed it. :)

There does seem to be a huge surge in people reckoning I'm having a boy Cupcakes, although the student MW commented yesterday that bump has a very fast heartrate which is more likely to make them a girl if you believe that?!

Bump does appear quite active today, DP and I are doing all those last minute things we've been meaning to do. Also involves going out for a big dinner at 4pm, and one last cervix coating for luck is scheduled in too! Grin

Crystylline · 03/02/2011 13:52

katie i'll vote with your mw then! mine told me i'd be late, and surprise, surprise I am!

trees you def get first place in the queue! gl! and you're right, maybe i should write out an eviction notice for bump instead of talking to him directly. think he mgiht need it in writing!

mad i may well join you in being super-active. honestly, feeling v. upbeat, lots of energy, but mentally v. calm. jsut had some lunch, so think i'll go make the most of the sunshine and take myself off for a walk. bump is still rolling about, kicking etc. not been this active in ages, so perhaps the reflexology has stirred up the hormones etc.

farawaytrees · 03/02/2011 14:21

Thanks Crysty and Madinitials maybe I will get started on a baby eviction notice this afternoon, the baby must be much too comfortable!

The next step is induction on Saturday so I'm trying to keep active until then to hopefully avoid it.

Dancing to the X-Box is a good idea, I was thinking of going on my WII fit but as I haven't used it since I got pregnant I am dreading it telling me how much weight I have put on! Smile

CupcakesHay · 03/02/2011 14:49

welcome back madinitials! Nice to see antoher laid back lazy boy Hmm

Pleased the reflexology worked on you at least crysty Wink

Went swimming - managed 6 lengths of breast stroke before it felt like my arms would fall off - and then i thought how will i pick up the baby? So then DH decided i was allowed to cling to edge in shallow end and just do breast stroke legs... ugh. So did that for 30 mins - and was BLOODY painful - so hopefully baby might have moved to right position Hmm But felt quite good being super active - althogh took me about 6 tries to put my trousers on in the changing rooms - i was huffing and puffing like a steam train!

Yeah - i feel a bit bad whinging when i'm opnly 4 days over - but like i say - i've watched all of you girls suffer - so i think i've been empathising too much! Grin

Know what you mean about last minute things - Dh and I are going out to pub tomorrow night.... and it's our anniversary on Tues so at least we can actually go out and celebrate - rather than my original plan of changing pooey nappies!

Also - hate to say it girls - but don't think chocolate is helping shifting this baby!!! Grin

I'm feeling more positive today though. Maybe my row with Dh cleared the air?

OP posts:
RunningKatie · 03/02/2011 15:00

Now i'm feeling guilty that I could in effect queue jump as I was due on 23rd and am being induced a day before Trees. Not that guilty though as inductions can take a while!

Good effort Cupcakes, I lost the ability to do breastroke ages ago so either do backcrawl or front crawl kick with a float up and down the lanes. Glad you're feeling more positive today, DP tells me I look like a sad spaniel at the moment.

CupcakesHay · 03/02/2011 16:35

Aaah - no feeling guilty at this stage running - it's anyones game! Not like real pushing in - surely after due dates have been and gone it's all systems go!

Well Baby Cupcakes is squirming around like a good 'un so hopefully that's a good sign?

And one of my friends is hoping I'm going to have a c-section as I made her laugh when i visited her in hopsital, and she split her stitch a bit Blush so she's hoping she can return the favour Grin

ladybuzz hoping you'll feel better soon - if not a scrummy meal of liver, spinach, parsley and guiness might do the trick Wink

OP posts:
farawaytrees · 03/02/2011 18:19

I don't mind a bit of queue jumping running since we have both been waitng so long and the end is now in sight!

Crystylline · 03/02/2011 18:26

all the walking has completely tired me out!

think i've done too much today.

dinner and sofa for me tonight and lots of gentle encouragement to bump!

hope everyone's had a good day and that rock is finally holding her little one.

let us know how the reflexology appt goes katie

ThreeBubbasAndManyBumps · 03/02/2011 18:56

Yes crystyll I was thinking about rock and hoping she's had a successful and easy induction and is now rocking minirock :)

Did my first Coping With Three Kids Under The Age Of Four session this afternoon - we went for a good old romp and the girls were fab, everything was going brilliantly and I felt like SuperMum :o - until Lachlan needed a feed (and my God, his lungs can produce some good loud cries!!), DD2 needed a poo and DD1 decided she'd walked too far and wanted to stop - cue me turning into Bad Mum and dragging DDs to the nearest loo while sticking my little finger in DS's mouth (first time I've written DS about my own family!! :o :o) while pushing the pram trying not to sweat visibly through my clothes Hmm

Now feeling all weak and feeble. And L's asleep ready for Round Two of 2 hourly night time feeding with a few hours awake just for the fun of it!! :o Hmm :o Hmm :o Hmm

CupcakesHay · 03/02/2011 19:28

Oh bubba LOVE IT! It's the way you tell them Grin

And crysty I feel like i've overdone it too.... and all i did was swimming and a bit of a walk!

DH made fish pie for dinner (not my fave in retrospect - but only cos of the dill) and then had pudding - warmed cookies and ice cream! Currently parents watching Emmerdale (UGH!) - and DH playing on his Ipod - nad i'm MN-ing.

Can't decide - tomorrow - walk or swim? Kind of thinking a walk on the beach might be nice.... but have more chance of baby turning right way with swimming, apparently. Hmm Decisions, decisions...

Only a week or so to go and hopefully all of us would have had our babies Smile

pootle I'm thinking of you enjoying your lovely new baby boy! Are you going to tell us the name (is it cheeky to ask?) Blush - tell me to p-ss off as you know i'm nosy!

OP posts:
CupcakesHay · 03/02/2011 19:58

PS. running and crysty - when are your inductions due????

OP posts:
ThreeBubbasAndManyBumps · 03/02/2011 20:09

VBAC = vaginal birth after caesarean

cupcakes - as you're clearly going to take another three years to turn from a mum-to-be to a mum Wink, and you're fab at the stats, if you get really bored, you could make a new stat list of when people were due, when they actually popped and how many of the latecomers were naughty, naughty lazy boys!! :o :o

I'm very concerned about what's going to happen to running's teaspoons once she becomes a mummy. Will they still shine? What about the window frames? Will they turn to rack and ruin?? :o

Hey ladyb - it's weird isn't it?! Also can't now say "the girls" when talking about my DCs! very strange in a wonderful way :O

Madinitials · 03/02/2011 20:14

Congrats TBMOM. I think VBAC is vaginal birth after caesarian.

Cupcakes I have a feeling I'll be last so don't worry!! I went up and down the stairs 10 times earlier and nothing doing at all.

Trees really hope your baby decides to bodyswerve Saturday's planned induction and comes along on his own.

I did suggest to DH that we got jiggy tonight to encourage labour but sitting here eating a creme egg has put me in two minds!!
