Do I still qualify for this thread? Gave up charting during my WTF cycle, I think I was more affected by losing the little bean that I admitted. So have been lying a bit low for a while. BUT got a BFP today!! Cycle after WTF.

I am trying to play down my excitment after 2 pg and no baby I know there is a lot to go through but while I can !!!!!

Might lurk for a bit and not tempt fate but hope to be sticking around a lot longer this time than last.

I don't want to know what am having, Terrys so I am Team Yellow too. I didn't find out with DS either. I thought he was a girl but he was a boy but I had no probs with that at all. If the fast/slow sperm theory is right is most likely another boy although we SWI'ed every day so could have been fast and slow sperm kicking around. I love guessing with myself. Just personal choice though!

Oooooo ravenlocks!! Hello! So good to see you and hear your wonderful news! Hope this one sticks. So many of us on here conceived on the cycle after the WTF cycle. Must be something about that cycle and the body getting back on track for receiving a pregnancy.

Nix great that all was well at the scan - that's fab news! It was ok with the perinatal psychiatrist today. Basically she just ran through how I was feeling etc, plans for the birth, and plans after the birth. I have to have a care planning meeting at 32 weeks where lots of care professionals get together to work out what they are going to do with me - all basically to try and prevent me getting PND so severely this time. So hopefully I will be looked after this time round and be given the right support before I totally lose the plot....

Oh, and re. the finding out the sex. I am in a similar position to nix - I would quite like a surprise, DH wants to find out. I suspect he will win though I think like spilt if we do find out we will just keep it to ourselves and not tell anyone else though.

Yay raven I remember saying when you left that I was hoping to hear from you again so I am very for you and pleased it is so soon!! As GetDown says, there are a lot of us who conceived after the WTF cycle!!

I've been manically busy with work (but, thank God, only 10 days till the Easter holidays) and keeping myself nice and paranoid about disappearing symptoms. 13+1 today so it's the right time for them to go, but you know me, never one to smile serenly when I can flap and panic madly!

My doppler's arrived and baby spilt has a hb . I was very cautious and made sure I could find my own hb first so I knew it worked!

And what has happened to MN today?? the messaging bit looks all different

Feeling shattered. DH is away and I am having to do EVERYTHING. Was rather ambitious and invited two friends and their 18 month old over for dinner. Also had to walk the dog in the midst of cooking dinner for everyone. DD is in bed now. And just cried because I managed to knock a clock off the wall and I've dented it, and the table it landed on

Ah well. Need to just relax now.

I am defn more tired this time than with DD, but I was 2 years younger then! I also tried to join in one of the ante-natal groups a few months ago, but it all seemed a bit cliquey & they were posting too quickly for me to keep up, so I gave up!

split glad you found the hb ok! I only used my doppler a couple of times as about 2 days after I got it, baby started kicking me all the time!

Thanks spilt I just sat in front of the TV all evening just trying to chill out

Annoyingly I woke up at 2am and had really bad anxiety which kept me awake for two hours or so I think if I do too much, it affects me at night sometimes which is strange.

DH is back tomorrow evening. I hate it when he goes away. So tiring.

nix I think my DH would ban me from getting a doppler too - I am already too neurotic concerned according to him! Tis indeed a gorgeous day!

HUGE CONGRATS to raven it's so exciting!!

I have my booking in appt for 18 April and I have booked a private nuchal scan for 12+3. Not sure when my dating scan will be. We don't get a nuchal scan on the NHS but the private one includes a 4D scan.

I have few symptoms but no spotting and (occasionally) still temping and my temps are still very high.

Can I just make sure that I know what I'm saying? I know I ov on cd 19, so conception happened on that day or cd20, thus my due date is 16 Nov. As last AF was 5 feb, midwife has dated me for about 10 Nov. I am right aren't I to stick with my dates based on ov?
I think I am but pg brain is making me doubt myself.
I know I'll know for certain at the dating scan, but I need to get it right in my head IYSWIM.

I also have another scan next Friday - when I saw my GP originally I asked for an early scan because of the MC and he said he would refer me but I didn't hear anything so I went private. They called yesterday and offered me one so I took it. I feel a bit guilty but I do pay a lot of money in tax!! Am I terrible??

terrys I'm having a private nuchal scan as we don't get them on the nhs here.

Basically you have to wait until 16 wks and have a blood test to assess risk of downs.
I don't want to wait till then, so optimg for a private one at 12 wks.

MrsA your dates sound right to me. The basic principle is that pregnancy is 38 weeks from conception (which is near as damn it, ovulation), so take your ov day and count back 14 days and that gives you the date of your fake LMP!

Playing with my doppler again tonight - I was going to try and only do it weekly but it was sitting there looking at me and I was getting anxious ... all still well and I can now tell the difference between the sound of the baby's hb and the sound of the placenta which is all whooshy.

Phew 18+3 and counting...

Don't feel bad about it terrys, I would have done the same if I was you. I have craved every bit of reassurance I can get this time, and I can't imagine it costs much to do a scan. Mine have never been longer than about 5-10 mins. When is it?

Terrys I wouldn't worry - just take all the scans you can get! I love the scans - so wonderful to see the little thing in there.

spilt wish I could pop over to your place to try out your doppler! You could pretend to be midwife on me! Liking the "whooshy" placenta sound! Have you been tempted to try out other parts of your body to see what they sound like

I am feeling very happy as got my nuchal scan result through this morning - risk of 1 in 49,000! Risk based on my age alone is 1 in 700. So I think that's pretty good!
