Hello ladies ? bit nerve wracking moving over to ante natal but thought I?d be brave! Here?s to a trouble free 8 or so months for us all! And hoping lots more of us move over very soon.

Step away from your thermometers ladies. That way madness lies.

Sits back. Feels a bit lonely. Waits for others.

Hi Iwish how are you today? I've carried on eating lots of fruit and seem to have been much better "down below". Hope you are ok.

I've got my scan tomorrow. Excited but also nervous.

Anyone got any idea of how much to drink and how long before hand? When I went for the private one at 9 weeks I totally over-did it, was in agony from full bladder so much so that I could hardly walk - the sonographer said my bladder was so full that it was squashing the womb and she couldn't get a good picture Blush Had to dash to the loo and empty most of it!! (I'd only drunk a 500ml bottle of squash).

Do you produce urine more quickly if you're nervous I wonder?

Welcome Mrs A :) Congrats!

Getdown I went to the loo an hour beforehand, then sipped a bottle of water over the course of the hour before my scan. I wasn't desperate by the time I got in there, but it seemed about right! Will be thinking of you tomorrow :)

Iwish · 09/03/2011 13:49

Hi getdown not too bad today. Managed to go last night and managed to go a bit this morning but still feel a lite bunged up. Have been drinking fruit smoothies, apple juice and eating bananas. I have lots of tangerines but cant face them for some reason. Actually felt quite sick today, makes me feel happy lol.

I agree with pippa to sip water a hour before you appt, if I did that id need to pee quite a bit. I couldn't drink from 12:00 to do a pg test at 5:30pm tho! Goes strait in and out of me haha.
What time is your scan? I'll be thinking of you x

nickstermum · 09/03/2011 14:05

nickstermum · 09/03/2011 18:01

Iwish · 09/03/2011 18:35

Woohoo nix that's fab! Bet you are v happy. Grin

Have any of you tried any of the online gender predictors? Thought I'd have a nosey and see if it's right. They all say girl so lets see what happens at the 20 week scan. (got to get the 12 week one first ha)

spilttheteaagain · 09/03/2011 18:49

MrsA!! Grin fabulous news my dear, so pleased to see you tentatively sticking a toe in over here Smile

nix congrats that's fab. I too saw my MW today and heard the little heartbeat which was lovely. Tiddler had a fidget but like you I couldn't feel anything.

Big news is that one of our charters has had her baby. BUnderthebonnet had a little girl on 28 Feb, 7lb 1oz. BFP on Father's day, 20th June!

digi thinking of you, especially for tomorrow.

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 10:53

Morning all

MrsA welcome!! Grin

Nix and spilt Grin and Envy on the heartbeats!!

Good luck for today GetDown - waiting for your news!

I am feeling quite anxious today, this is the CD I started miscarrying last time. Had a few similar pains this morning but gone now and no blood - woo hoo!! I also feel really sick (but not reading too much into that as I felt sick the day before my MC too) and have one restless leg.

I cannot wait until Tuesday as I have an early scan - will only be 6+4 but hoping to see something!!

Hurry up tomorrow!! Smile

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 10/03/2011 11:19

Morning. Well temps back up today and I did a CB test this morning and a strong +ve. Slowly sinking in.....
Quite scared now as DD's birth was horrific and I still struggle with it.

Ladies - oh so many questions. Am I still OK to take my Vit B complex?
And how many weeks pg am I? FF says my due date based on ov is 16 Nov - I reckon the bean implanted less than a week ago, but I've got it in my head that means I'm 4 weeks? My last af was 5 Feb.

Not going to docs till next week - need to think about which hospital/home birth.

Terrys hope that everything stays normal today.

I still have very few symptoms. Last pg my boobs ached by now but nothing so far. I do feel a bit dizzy and my appetite has gone, I think I was the same last time.

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 11:45

MrsA FF has a pregnancy tracker - on the left hand side and if you put your dates in (either from AF or ovulation) it will tell you!

Come join us over here when you are ready. Lots of lovely ladies all stressing together!! Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 10/03/2011 15:45

MrsP81 · 10/03/2011 18:19

Welcome MrsA! Grin

And yay for wriggling bean getdown!

I am so jealous, can't wait to see my bean. I'm still in two minds about an early scan. I think if it wasn't for the fact I'm going on holiday then I could hold on until 12 weeks but I'm a bit nervous of something bad happening while 35,000 feet over the atlantic ocean! So wouldn't mind some reassurance about that. What would you lovely ladies do?

nickstermum · 10/03/2011 18:34

MrsP for me personally I found the early scan very worthwhile. Reduced my anxiety considerably. I think if you can afford it, go for it.

Pippaandpolly · 10/03/2011 21:54

I have a bruised boob Confused. I do bruise easily and quite often notice bruises on my legs that I don't remember getting, but how can I possibly have hit/knocked my boob hard enough to bruise it and not noticed?! Particularly as they're still so sensitive.

TerrysNo2 · 11/03/2011 07:21

6+1 - I made it!!! Grin Grin (as far as I know of course!!)

TerrysNo2 · 11/03/2011 07:25

oops, mean 6 weeks exactly, so excited I can't count!!
