Dig tingly boobs is a fab symptom xxx

TerrysNo2 · 10/02/2011 13:39

Oi - ladies who have buggered off Wink, not happy, we miss you! There are lots of newbies who are lovely but I don't like too much change.

Come back and say hi occasionally!! Smile

Iwish · 10/02/2011 19:40

Hi lovely ladies!

How are you all?

getdown have you booked the scan for tuesday?

digi woohoo for tingly boobs!

pippa ladyg nix hope you are ok?

terrys honey hello! I've been stalking you all but the thread moves so quick I don't know where you are up to. Will pop on and type some actual words soon Grin

Well I feel like crap! Felt quite sick for the last few days, getting more and more frequent and can't seem to make it better.
And had a v wierd dream last night that DP booked up in for an early scan which revealed we are having twins, a girl and a boy!

Pippaandpolly · 10/02/2011 20:36

Hi Iwish :) Sorry you're feeling rubbish...are you being sick, or just feeling it? (Just! Not that that's much better.)

I have an embarrassing question for you all...there is a tiny little bit of one of my nipples - an actual bit of nipple, not just on it - that is grey. I've Blush tried seeing if it'll brush off but it won't and I'm convinced it is actually a bit of me, rather than dirt or anything. Any ideas what it is?! It's slightly freaking me out.

Iwish · 10/02/2011 21:11

Hey pippa luckily I just feel sick but not actually thrown up. I'm happy in a way that I feel sick - reassures me a bit but it's not morning or evening sickness, it's most of the day sickness! I have just discovered ice cubes, seem to make me feel a bit better :)

Hmmm grey nipple. Has it just appeared since you got pg? Maybe it's because of hormones.

Pippaandpolly · 10/02/2011 21:39

Yep, just in the last couple of weeks. It's very small, but very weird...

Ice cubes eh-I might try that. So far diet coke is helping me-in small quantities-though I'm nervous about the caffeine. But then, I'm pretty nervous about everything!

Iwish · 11/02/2011 07:26

I think it might be your hormones then. Maybe you could ask your midwife next time you speak to her and see what she thinks. Or maybe one of the lovely ladies on here knows.

Try caffiene free coke, that's what I drink and it's quite nice. Obviously nothing compares to the real thing hehe. I also have caffiene free tee and coffee.

LadyGoneGaga · 11/02/2011 08:42

Aw sorry, Terrys - there are so many newbies on there now! But will come and say hi. How are you getting on anyway, lovely lady?

Maybe a mole, Polly?

spilttheteaagain · 11/02/2011 10:04

Morning girls,

terrys I'm sorry. I do read the mother thread but got totally lost in the sea of new faces. So I just snoop a bit to check up on you, battery, Mouse, If and MrsA mainly! How's things with you? I shall come a-chart stalking and see what's what.

pips no idea about your grey bit! Mine go through shades of pinky/purply and sometimes with those funny little lumps in the dark bit (they have a name don't they?!) but grey I haven't experienced.

Feeling a bit crappy today so I have phoned in sick. Just very tired, with a thumping headache and was pretty nauseous this morning too. I decided to sod work. Last time I pushed and pushed myself to always go in even when I felt shit and just made myself feel worse, no one noticed or appreciated my effort so I am putting me and tiny one first this time.

I've also had a really hard week (emotionally), the scan on Monday really knocked me for six in a way I wasn't expecting. I've been really upset by my reaction to it in the couple of days that followed. And then yesterday we got the news I was dreading, that my colleague's baby has just been born. Just over 2 weeks before mine should have been Sad. He is the talk of the office and I have had photos etc thrust at me. Obviously I am pleased he is here safe but just wanted to scream "get the sodding pics AWAY from me!" I went to hide in the loos and have a cry and was really wound up to then be followed in by female colleague and cleaner who were continuing their discussion of the new arrival. Came home and cried on DH for about an hour and a half last night (might explain the headache actually!)
I wish I could feel and react like a normal person Sad

Iwish sorry you are feeling so lousy, it really is vile. Actually I reckon the throwing up stage is an improvement as at least I found I got some relief from the nausea that way.

digi hurrah for tingly boobs!

LadyGoneGaga · 11/02/2011 10:30

Hugs Spilt. It is bound to be hard. I'm dreading my due date coming round. You ARE reacting like a normal person. You've been through a lot these past few months.

Get some good rest today, maybe do something nice for yourself. xxx

nickstermum · 11/02/2011 11:15

Can't type too much as on phone

Spilt you are behaving totally normally hon you are still grieving!! Hugs lovely xx

Terrys sorry we have abandoned you hon I couldn't keep up with the newby influx xxx hope you are ok and hope to see you join us very soon xxx

LadyGoneGaga · 11/02/2011 11:21

How are you doing, Nix? Everything calmed back down again? Are you ok now? xxx

nickstermum · 11/02/2011 18:22

Will post later, as Ds bedtime calls xx

nickstermum · 11/02/2011 19:34

Hi all,

been a bit of a torrid week all in all...
LadyG knows as she was on the aug fred (and i posted there in error thinking it was this one doh!!)

I had a brown watery wet bleed (14+3) on tuesday night which smelled of TMI Blush sperm ie amniotic fluid. So finally got into see a MW and she found the heartbeat at 3pm that day via doppler then showed us briefly on a scan..but went back for an epu scan today which showed bambino as happy as larry measuring 8.7 cms (nearly the size of a ruler!) and happily snoozing upside down!

I have a defined bump which i showed off proudly this aft at the flicks, and i am 15 weeks on sunday (how did that happen!>?)

The placenta is anterior which may muffle movements intiallly and you also have a higher likelihood of a bleed.

Happier day today for sure.... i have a big bean, who is happy and thats what matters. xx

Although i think DS has already started attention seeking......!

LadyGoneGaga · 12/02/2011 06:33

As long as you and bean are well now, Nix. Good you got to see Bambino again. Have you got a 20 week scan date yet? Am still waiting for mine and 17 weeks tomorrow!

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/02/2011 10:10

Hello ladies sorry for not being around much lately.

I really need your advice. Does anyone know about First Response tests - the pink ones?

Is the second line always a lighter shade of pink than the control line, or should it get as dark as the control line?

I just did another test this morning . The second line was strong but it was lighter pink than the control line. By 9 weeks pregnant shouldn't it be darker?

I am sitting here sobbing like an idiot, convinced my HCG levels are dropping. I just don't know what to do Sad

OP posts:
nickstermum · 12/02/2011 10:14

Get down the best thing to do is get a cbdigi? which shows the Weeks between 1 and 3+

the lines on the FR are ridiculously skinny and feint i thought.......!!

you are pregnant hon xxxxxx

9 weeks pregnant, step away from the FR's Getdown, you will drive yourself crazy.

Have you contacted your epu about a scan? or even a hcg test? Probably best to do that or just call your GP and howl at them... so what if they think you are anxious...!!!!

spilttheteaagain · 12/02/2011 10:24

GetDown no advice as I've never used FR tests but I wish I could give you a hug. I find with the internet cheapies that the test line is never quite as dark as the control line (last tested at about 8 weeks) so maybe FR are the same? Have you had any reason to think there's a problem? I would book a private scan if I was you I think, knowing what's what was worth every penny to me.

nix blimey you've had a scary week. Thank goodness the little one is all ok in there.

And Lady wow how have you got to 17 weeks already?? Can I be nosy - I remember you said you have a couple of 3rd trimester growth scans because of your anti thyroid antibodies. What are they checking for? Are they expecting growth might be too fast or too slow? (sorry, just curious)

Thank you all for listening yesterday and telling me I'm not mad, was very much appreciated x

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/02/2011 11:02

thanks nix and spilt only just read back and seen that you've both been having fairly hard times - so sorry to barge in, I feel really selfish now Sad

So sorry you went through that scary bleed nix but glad to see that bean is still jumping around ok.

Sorry that you are approaching your due date spilt and having to deal with other babies arriving and people at work cooing and everything. I think what you are feeling is totally understandable and normal.

Thanks for your advice. nix I did get a 3+ weeks on a CD digital at about 5-6 weeks pregnant. This test this morning has worried me though. I've had no bleeding, but my symptoms are extremely mild and come and go a lot. I had nausea last night but nothing much today.

I know I need to book an early scan really. It's not proving straightforward though..

OP posts:
nickstermum · 12/02/2011 11:07

I get nausea about twice a week gd, they do come and Ho xx

spilttheteaagain · 12/02/2011 11:09

Don't be daft my dear, the whole point of these threads is for us all to vent/panic/have outbursts as needed, without wondering whether our worries "deserve" to be aired!

LadyGoneGaga · 13/02/2011 08:35

Getdown I honesty thing you need to shell out and have a private scan - just to reassure you. I don't think pregnancy teststell you much at this stage. The placenta is starting to take over some of the jobs of sustaining the hormones anyway so HCG levels start to decline a bit.

Spilt scans are to check baby is growing big enough - danger is anti-thyroid antibodies can attack placenta I think and cause retarded growth. But DS was fine and weighted 8lb 2oz so not too worried (I hope!)

GetDownYouWillFall · 13/02/2011 08:43

thanks guys. Lady I've found a place that does weekend scans. DH is going to ring them later (he's working today so needs to check his diary) and we're going to see if we can get in for an appt today, or if not later on in the week.

Thanks for your reassurance, I really hope you're right. I thought by 9 weeks though the HCG should be pretty much at a peak, and the placenta doesn't take over till 12 weeks? I don't know.

I know it sounds so silly to be fretting like this but I just have a horrible anxious feeling about it. Sad

Hope everyone else is ok xx

OP posts:
nickstermum · 13/02/2011 09:33

Get down the placenta starts to kick in any time from 8 - 12 weeks i think.I went for a scan friday and asked them to look where the placenta was and she didnt think she would be able to see as didnt think it would be fully established.. but it was! I think mine kicked in quite early...

Lady seems to know her stuff on this and has reassured me lots

Try not to be too anxious hon, happy mummy = happy bean xxx (she says!!)

Its so much easier when they can hear the hb through a doppler..... roll on 14 weeks for you GD XX

Hows everyone else?

Pips?
Iwish?
Dig?

spilttheteaagain · 13/02/2011 10:06

13 weeks today Smile Have I muddled myself up or am I right in thinking that means that I have finished the 1st trimester??
