Hi all

39 weeks today and had an appt with MW this morning. Baby nowhere near being engaged (and even spent some time transverse again this morning), apparently it's a good 2-3cm from the top of my pelvis so a fair way off! Sad

Tried to encourage it along last night using some, errm, 'natural' methods, DH didn't need asking twice (and it was his birthday!). I pretended I was being utterly selfless when in fact it was the complete opposite!

I've just read that someone said (sorry, my mind/memory is embarrassingly bad at the moment) that they were finding day to day activities, looking after DC's etc a challenge. I am too. I would love DH or my mum to spend the day with me to help with the normal daily activities I am finding so tiring. At least it's only one more day until the weekend.

Had v strong braxton hicks yesterday that seem to pick up the more I move. They stopped overnight though.

Jammie how are you feeling today?

Any more baby news to encourage us all along?

Hello ladies

We are living in utter chaos at the moment with boxes everywhere and I am starting to feel really sad about leaving this city and all my friends and family here. Also, the tiredness is starting to hit me now, baby Leila is so good, but she is a newborn and so is up through the night- last night was 5 times and I am feeling it today! I know I would be going crazy today if she wasn't here (this was my EDD) and I feel for you all with the troubles of later pregnancy. But if you can, sleep, sleep, sleep! Nap in the day and rest. This will be in short supply for you all soon!

Off to take my own advice while DD1 sleeps!

Medee · 03/03/2011 14:51

Afternoon all. Catching up..

Jammie you've had some good advice here, hope you are able to get some help.

Hope Jen and Blue are snuffling newborns now.

My first week of Mat leave has been busy with my mum here helping cook and do the laundry of the mountain of baby stuff. It's good not to be at work though.

Hi folks, since this list is bursting here is the new thread. Apologies if I have missed anyone.

am988 · 08/03/2011 21:40

Hello All,

I vanished for a while for a good reason.

My due date is actually at the end of the week (12/3) but our baby boy arrived on Friday 04 March at 0226 - following an induction due to High Blood Pressure on Wednesday and then an emergency C-section. Could a kind soul update the list for me please?

All's well that ends well and extremely happy to be a mum: we got back from hospital yesterday. Thus, dealing with the ups and downs of first days and persevering with breastfeeding - doesn't it take some strength at times? I am extremely tired due to sleepless nights and coping with the c-section but it was good to be home and have my husband help with picking the baby and bringing him to me rather than struggling out of bed first, then struggling to stand up, and then struggling to pick up baby.

Well the whole thing was as far from what I ever imagined or planned as it possibly could, BUT the happiness of having our first son is also beyond what I could ever imagine.

Love to you all,
A

Hi am988 congratulations on the birth of your son! Sorry to hear you had a bit of a scare bp-wise leading up to it but as you say the main thing is now you have your healthy baby.

There has been a new thread started over here, you might want to post that again on the new one so people see it. This one isn't getting updated any more.

Muser · 10/03/2011 12:02

Many congrats am, and anyone else I've missed.

Don't forget to check in on the post-natal thread ladies. We're quite quiet at the moment.
