Aw poor you and the pizza buffet pootle, maybe that means that your body is getting ready! :)

The cake came out brilliantly, was really moist and the icing (with chocolate buttons stuck on) was to die for. Still lots left, yay! We also had an assortment of pizzas and tortilla chips with salsa and melted cheese, mmmmmmm!!

All good with the mw, and no glucose in my urine so she said I could eat as much cake as I wanted; lovely lady!! She said that the period pains I've been getting are a good sign and she's going to come round on Sat to give me a sweep (eeek). And if that doesn't work she will do another sweep on Monday, she seems really determined to get me into labour lol.

Mw told me that the baby is very low down and this has been proven this evening by the fact that I am finding it hard to actually get wee out, it's very stop start and annoying Angry.

On the upside I feel very relaxed now and and don't feel anywhere near as yucky as I did this morning, so just going to veg out and chill.

Pootle78 · 27/01/2011 21:31

Yay rock glad the cake came out so well and that no glucose means lots of lovely sugary things (obviously to keep your energy levels up!)

And we have another queue jumper! Friend from work due in 3 weeks had a girl today, not jealous or envious at all Hmm

RockLover · 27/01/2011 21:39

How very dare she pootle! Was she not aware there was a queuing system? Maybe we need to start giving those little tickets out with numbers on so that people know their place!

Oh yes I'm going to go sugar mad until baby is here, I have more cake to eat and some sicilian lemonade chilling in the fridge. Yum!

Morning roll call, Fuzzy and baby Fuzzy reporting in Grin.
Evan James finally made his long awaited appearance just after 1am, weighing in at 8lb 8.5oz. All well and back home by 4am. Will try to post more details and pics later x

LadyBuzz · 28/01/2011 08:28

Awww Fuzzy congratulations and a lovely name.
Well done you!

Pootle78 · 28/01/2011 08:53

Fantastic news Fuzzy , Congratulations! Just told DH they discharged you after 3 hours and he was a little shocked and hopes it doesn't happen to me as he is planning a night out apparently! (Although after Wednesday nights shenanagans he may think better of that!)

Well, I'm checking in too this morning, but am still with child :(

Going on a long walk to see if I can get this baby to move.

Cupcakes has been MIA recently, I hope your not queue jumping Grin

congrats Fuzzy

you got home really quickly! that must be nice to be able to get straight into family time rather than delayed at hospital.

have a wonderful day!

rock yay for sugar!! enjoy every mouthful!

RockLover · 28/01/2011 09:35

Hi ladies, signing in. Still no baby (as expected), but only went for 3 wees last night...a bloody miracle!

But this morning I had a fright, there was blood when I wiped after going for a wee. Pleased at first as I thought it could be a bit of a show, then realised it was coming from further up so panicked and decided I must have a kidney infection.

Drove DD to school panicking and when I got back, had a wash and a good old look around Blush and couldn't see anything. Bleeding has stopped and I have obviously not got a uti as I am not bleeding after I pee and have no pain etc. I have concluded that it is probably a cut or something (I am a little sore on the outside) and I'm going to keep an eye on things. But god that gave me a scare.

Welcome to the world baby fuzzy, have a lovely day with Mummy and Daddy!

I'm off to eat brekkie then fill my face with cake!

CupcakesHay · 28/01/2011 10:51

Aaaah - gallic - thanks for a bit more detail my lovely. Amazing name, and sounds like you did really well ? and you make it sound doable!

pootle sorry the pizza?s came back up last night ? and like your plan of having some donuts in the bag!

And pleased the cake turned out OK rock - now you can boast about that FOREVER ? ?when I was overdue, I made DP the most amazing cake ever?.? And pleased you m/w is very active in trying to get baby rock out of you.

Can I ask ? everyone seems to be seeing m/w quite a lot ? I?m not seeing m/w next til 40+4?. Do you think they seems normal? I was going to call on Monday and try and make appt for a sweep on 40+2?.. what do you think?

Love your naughty friend pushing in pootle!

And fuzzy - I LOVE Evan as a name ? one of my very good American friend?s has a son called Evan and he?s adorable ? like the cutest kid ever! And so so so so pleased you finally had the baby ? my god ? even I was getting desperate for you! We talk about queue pusher ? wow ? you just kept getting relegated to the back Grin ? so pleased for you!

Still no cervix coaxing here Blush think Dh is scared he?ll hurt baby! But he did tell me my boobs are massive and my (TMI) nipples are very dark Smile which made me laugh ? I spose I haven?t noticed the changes in my body.

Ooooh poor you on the cut front rock - no wonder you were scared. I keep thinking if I lose my plug at night when I?m having a wee, I?d never know as I never turn on the light!

My plan for today is swimming, out for lunch somewhere, and post office. And then staying in tonight. Chinese last night was soooooo YUMMY ? I stuffed my face ? and then thought about what fuzzy?s m/w said about baby having no room to come out ? and thought ?ooops? ? and then we went to pub and played quiz machine (and won) and then DH put £2 in fruit machine and we won £12 and then we sat and talked for about an hour, and was (and is) so nice just to have him here. And then came home and played cards with my parents? and generally had lovely evening.

Although woke up at 5.30am AGAIN for about 2 hours. So had more chats with baby. Was thinking, maybe I should stop playing him glee at night and consider smoking him out with some awful hardcore rap music or something!!! Grin

Hope bubba, travis, ryuk, ami, and all other MIA are OK ? and baby?s happily sleeping!

Awww, another baby - well done Fuzzy. Can't believe how quickly you are home as well.

Just come back from the MW, and am quite :( - she reckons I'm uneffaced so nowhere near having this baby. Got to book in for another sweep for Weds and am booked in for induction next Fri. DP and I had really convinced ourselves that it could be this weekend. Particularly as we'd got a bet going on it, if baby arrives on my birthday, DP was booking me in for a full-on makeover as I made the mistake of telling him when I was tango'd by a certain cosmetics counter and he can't imagine what I look like with a full-on face of makeup.

Yes, where is Cupcakes - she can't be MIA too, it's not February yet, has she not read the thread rulebook?!

Excellent news on the cake front Rock, really pleased it came out ok.

Pootle, sorry about the pizza reappearance, feeling better today?

CupcakesHay · 28/01/2011 11:01

Also girls, we only have about 30 messages left on this post.... shall we start a new one soon - and then we cna post a link to make it easier for all these new busy mums to find us?

We can still stick in the antenatal group cos technically, half of us are! Grin

Maybe i'll leave this in pootle's capable hands? Wink

RunningKatie · 28/01/2011 11:07

Hellooooo Cupcakes - glad to see you're still in the queue Wink

This was my first sweep at 40+5 which seems normal for round here, but I know in other areas they start doing sweeps at 40+1 so might be worth ringing the midwife for a chat? It's not actually as bad as I thought it might be, bit uncomfortable but no worse than a smear.

I've never started a thread so will also leave this in someone wisers hands.

SaraL77 · 28/01/2011 12:18

hi there, DH been working from home so haven't been able to get on the computer.

Congratulations Fuzzy- lovely news!

lost my mucus plug this morning (or started losing) funny didn't see one with DS1 so no idea if this means things are iminent or not. hoping so...

fingers crossed for those of you who are overdue and fed up waiting. I can't really complain as dd is still 2 days away...

RockLover · 28/01/2011 12:55

Hello ladies! Sorry about your cervix not behaving running and glad you had a lovely evening yesterday cupcakes. Great news about the mucus plug sara, things could be happening!

Just been to the loo and saw a teeny bit more blood, I'm pretty sure it's from somewhere on the outside, I just can't locate where which is really annoying! Still, mw is coming round tomorrow so I'll mention it to her and if she feels I need to see a doc I will do so.

I've had no more period pain or anything today, although tummy is still not happy and keeps grumbling at me, but it's not sending me running for the loo as of yet.

As you can see I am searching for any signs at all (clutching at straws really) and coming up with nothing. I'm a little worried about the sweep tomorrow as I am already feeling fairly tender inside, so am anticipating it to be a fairly painful experience. Oh well, no pain, no gain as they say.

Crystylline · 28/01/2011 13:31

epic walking and wandering round shops with jam doughtnuts!! Grin that's got to be encouragement to the bump, hasn't it?

sara oooh.... plug going is a good sign! usually does mean imminent labour - 1/2 days.

bump is a right fidget today, all hard and squirmy! (such a bizarre description).

going to see if i can mainline some more raspberry leaf tea [boak] and lurk about a bit.

come on babies!

SaraL77 · 28/01/2011 13:40

Rock maybe it's a particularly bloody mucus plug? Hope MW says all is ok.

Crystylline 1-2 days, yikes well if that's true I'd better down some more vile raspberry leaf tea, listen to my hypnobirthing CD and send 'calm, painfree birth' vibes to my womb pronto...

Crystylline · 28/01/2011 13:53

rock when i went in to early labour at 34 weeks i had two days of light spotting, then a day of nothing, then heavier spotting, then nothing, then 5 days of losing a v. bloody plug - which was yuck.

it might be your plug coming away in little bits, but it's def worth getting checked out. Don't want to scare you, but bleeding late in pregnancy is def something the MW will want to be aware of and let them make the call about whether it's normal or something to be monitored. GL.

sara or... it could be 6 weeks (highly unlikely) like me! lol Grin

and i'm still here, 6 weeks later even though bump decided to go for the exit way early ( doc stopped him!). can't believe i'm now overdue!

harrumph.

CupcakesHay · 28/01/2011 15:13

Ha ha - plugs mean imminent labour for everyone but you crysty! Grin

Pleased you're still around sara - was getting worried about being left on my own.

POO to non-effaced baby running

Been to town (got times wrong for swimming) so climbed the hgih street hill - ugh - but had yummy panini for lunch, and then went ot baby shop and DH picked out a sling (literally pointed and went "that one will do"Hmm)

And no panicking about me pushing in - i really think e's bloody comfy in here - can't see him wanting to come out for a while - more's the pity. Now DH is here, i just want to get the birth over (UGH) and then have the lovely baby bit. Still dreading the birth! Plus didn't help with DH and parents taking the piss out of how much stuff i have in hospital bags! Angry

rock hoping that you are finally starting - with all your tummy probs and everything think you need your baby out asap!

Just noticed distinct absence of salt too! Fingers crossed for her.

Right - countdown on - i'm ever hopefully ballerina will be the conundrum! Smile

OH - also - bought a second hand Beaba from Ebay - it arrived (afetr charging £10 postage, and it only cost the bloody woman £4.50) - and it is FILTHY! All in our house were looking at it - and just gob smacked - has food on outside, food inside, crusted on bits... ugh! So going to complain and see if we can get the woman to send some money back. Angry UGH!.
