Blimey ladies, 100 or so posts today?! And still no more babies.....

I've been out for much coffee, including NCT coffee afternoon where I got baby cuddles which apparently can help bring labour on.

Had a cracking pain in my side when I got in, which freaked DP out a bit but seems to have eased a bit.

Glad to hear Mr Cupcakes has arrived with doughnuts.

I was taken to a fancy baby shop this morning, £20 for a teeny tiny tshirt Shock - I didn't buy anything!

Salt, i might try hoovering if it's productive like that, or maybe not.

Right, time for raspberry leaf tea. C'mon babyrunning - 3 days over now and I want to sleep on my tummy.

CupcakesHay · 26/01/2011 18:47

I'm here, i'm here - you lot make me laugh. Am i on here that much! ha ha! no - watched countdown, and had a nap with DH (and NO - coaxing... yet!) and talked through half the crap in the bedroom for baby - and where everything is... and then we went through the chinese menu and i tried not to drool! And i've eaten a donut - mmmmmm

Pleased to hear about your mucas plug salt - and i too (TMI) am getting quite a lot of discharge. Baby has been kicking quite a lot today - must be happy his daddy is near!

Sorry to hear you're still crappy ladybuzz and very bad news about the infection Sad

And pleased the plumbers finally came - and went pootle! We'll keep fingers crossed for it to have actually worked!

And Grin LOVED your story rock - so so funny. I hope DP likes his cake.

And also thought, there's me going on about threading being painful salt - and then of course, what are we all about to get into... yep - the most painful thing EVER... so yeah - maybe threading will be a doddle in a few weeks time.

God - i'm dreading running over the due date. now DH is here, I just want it next week.

Oh, and DH didn't look at ANY of those links i sent for contractions, breathing, etc. Hmm - apparently going to look at them later in the week!

Ummm - and i din;t take notes - so lost track about everything else. Hope bubba's calmed a bit - my dad was very mad for you bubba when i was telling him.

Ok - off now - dinner soon.... and then we're playing cards Hmm - apparently the only reason i don't like playing cards is cos i'm crap! (ok, that might be true) - but we ALWAYS play cards...

Anyhow - very nice to have DH here, he;s making me giggle loads already - oh and i sneakily showed him the pics of poo in the NCT folder my friend gave me and he screamed Grin

WHERE is AmI - you think she'd just pop in and say "hello it was piss-easy, baby just popped out and having a lovely time cuddling baby and all soooooooo simple" Grin

RockLover · 26/01/2011 19:33

Just had pasta bake (from a jar) for tea because I couldn't be arsed to do anything that involved effort. My tummy was not really happy with the sauce, but hey ho.

I need to have a shower in a bit, but then I'm just going to veg on the sofa all night and look forward to giving DP his pressies tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure little one won't make an appearance, I don't have "that" feeling. Still DD was only a week late, so I don't mind waiting a little bit longer...only a little bit mind.

Sat here watching DD playing Lego Harry Potter on the PS3, she's obsessed with it lol. Although DP is her backup plan when she's not sure how to get through a level, he alsways knows what to do as he's a complete game-head :).

saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 20:28

Snap rock I had pastabake too.

Ok, well I am going to watch Justin Lee collins in Japan (ch5) and then have an early night. Feel shattered. Hope everyone else is okay. Been lots of people missing since this morning so surely someone must have given birth today
Grin

CupcakesHay · 26/01/2011 21:37

I'm shattered too - all the excitement. Dragging DH to antenatal tomorrow - even though i don't want to go! Mean aren't i.

And i'm pretty stuffed after dinner and 2.5 donuts - and i've got the heartburn curse (as well as a bad case of bottom burps Blush) - lucky they don't smell! Grin

I love that your DP helps DD on lego game rock - so cute.

And yeah - loads missing - especially bubba lately this afternoon evening!

But brain not working to mention who's missing - i just hope they are able to take 2 mins from craaaaaazy new baby schedule to say HI! Wink

Night girls - see you tomorrow for roll call! Grin

Fuzzywood · 26/01/2011 21:45

I'm sooooo bored now, I have no patience at the best of times so this is driving me crazy.
Going to try to get some sleep now but horribly uncomfortable.
Night all x

FloraPost · 26/01/2011 22:56

We got discharged from hospital today after another week in there. Hopefully DS is sorted now and we won't need to go back. Haven't had time to catch up on the thread (any more babies?), but there are now a couple of pics of DS on my profile.

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 23:02

he's absolutely beautiful flora. so glad you're home and well.

hope you enjoy all your wonderful snuggly time.

just waiting to see if today brought any new babies - two in labour and about 3 MIA... so fingers crossed. ladybuzz had a little girl called Kali.

xx

gallicgirl · 27/01/2011 00:43

Hi all

Just a quick visit to let you know that our beautiful baby girl was born this evening at home. I laboured from around 6am but it really kicked in around 4pm. It didn't feel piss-easy but lots of MWs said they'd never seen anyone so chilled between contractions. During contractions was another story though and I did try to change my mind whilst pushing head out.

We ended up with 3 shift changes and 2 students and there were a lot of MWs there at one point. Seriously, we must have had 5 or 6 people in the flat Shock. I didn't give a stuff by that point though and everyone was fabulous.

Baby screamed a lot at first but once we got her quiet she had a lovely long feed and is now sleeping happily. DP and I have had food and caught up with the outside world and at some point we will hopefully get a bit of rest once we've come down a bit.

CupcakesHay · 27/01/2011 06:05

Aaaaah - flora so pleased you've been discharged - and your son looks amazing - i just wanted to cuddle him forever - and i got that just from the 2 pictures! And you look so serene!

And gallic Grin WELL DONE! A lovely little girl and i'm so so so pleased it all went swimmingly - even if it sounds like it went on forever Shock Wll you pop a picture on when you get a chance? And thank you for popping in to tell us! bet you are shattered! Smile Ha Ha - and like the "not piss-easy" bit!

Well - I thought I'd be fast asleep at 6am - but no... after 10.5 weeks of having bed to myself - found it really hard to sleep with DH next to me (and no, no cervix coaxing, although lots of cuddles and kisses!) - and I think DH is coming down with a cold Sad

And now of course, my brain is doing that whole thing that i am sure ALL of you have done which is wonder when this baby will get here - will it be soon? And I'm worried after spending weeks telling baby to hang on til his daddy gets here - will it decide to stay in forever???? Now DH is here, and only for a month, i want baby to come ASAP so he can spend time with it (and help me!) - ha ha - no pleasing me is there.

Well - i'm sure we'll have some more news later today.... wondering about bubba tonight - maybe the whole neighbour dispute had one happy effect Grin.

Morning roll call, sob Sad
Think I may be pregnant forever!
Flora your DS us gorgeous glad you're now all home.
Gallic well done you, hope you've managed to get some rest.
Where is Bubba? sounds like yet more queue jumping to me!

LadyBuzz · 27/01/2011 08:52

gallic congratulations!

flora DS is gorgeous, glad you are all home.

good luck to those MIA, fingers crossed!

RockLover · 27/01/2011 09:23

Congratulations on what sounds like a great birth experience Gallic, well done you. Flora DS is beautiful, you must be so proud!.

Due date today and still here as expected, despite the upset tummy yesterday. Still feeling a little bit ropey, but ok and I'm going to tackle making DP's birthday cake in a bit.

I have mw appt this afternoon straight after I pick DD up from school, so I am not going to have any "exams" even if mw offers. Really don't want DD seeing that sort of thing at her age.

I remembered to do my urine sample first thing so I may allow myself a bit more sugar today, hurrah! Although at the moment I seem to have a big thing for digestive biscuits and I'm eating far. far too many!!

Right, I will get a cuppa and have a chill out for 30 mins or so, then I will be ready to do war with this bloody cake lol. :)

saltnvinigarcrips · 27/01/2011 09:26

Gorgeous pictures flora You look fantastic too by the way. You must be so happy to finally be home :)

Big Congratulations Gallic sounds like you were a real champ. So did you have a waterbirth at home? What pain relief did you have if any? Sounds like you were very brave Grin How much did lo weigh and have you decided on a name yet?

I'm hoping to start active labour today Hmm and hoping I can cancel the sweep I have booked for today. Not sure if I should go for a walk or go back to bed and conserve energy?

Hope you don't catch your DH's cold cupcakes be careful - all that late night snogging tut tut!

saltnvinigarcrips · 27/01/2011 09:27

Ooh and I think bubba must be in labour as she hasn't checked in for ages! Are you there bubba???

saltnvinigarcrips · 27/01/2011 09:30

fuzzy I meant to ask if you were being induced soon? Come on baby fuzzy get a move on! :)

Crystylline · 27/01/2011 10:07

morning!

Congrats Gallic. I love *Salt's questions.... yes, please let us know details when you have a sec

BH all night last night and low, draggy, achy sensation is back... but i've learnt now. tis not labour, but merely stupid late pregnancy shenanigans. still going to go for a long walk (in the rain).

methinks bubba's bump has boinged....

Fuzzywood · 27/01/2011 10:45

No induction booked yet but I do have a mw appointment just after 12 so probably get booked in then. When I saw her on Tues she was convinced it would have arrived by now.
Hope the cake turns out ok Rock

Pootle78 · 27/01/2011 11:10

Another one checking in :(

Flora he is sooooo gorgeous and looks very happy as do you.

And CONGRATULATIONS Gallic , about time we had another baby, at this rate we will be on another thread before all these babies pop

Rock i hope the cake is working out well, what method are you using? What flavour cake? Does it involve lots of chocolate? Can you tell I am bored?! Grin

Fuzzy keep us up to date with what the midwife said (would we in rl ask such personal questions Confused Blush Hmm )

Cupcakes keep away from the snotty hubby, may be his body can't cope with the change of temperature from Syria to here, it's not like they are even remotely similar!

Salt if you manage to start labour today, please post how you have done it because d h is driving me mad about baby pootle didn't arrive on it's due date ...

Which leads me to d h has been relegated to just h at the moment having seriously blotted his copybook last night. It got to the point that I thought if I accidently killed him in the night, could I plead diminished responsibility based on being 9 months pregnant Hmm

Anyway, no waking up for a wee again last night (maybe I cried it all out)

Hoping the MIA girls are happy holding their little bundles of joy and bubba not being around feels like it is speaking volumes - as someone else said, may be the rant with the builders set it all off!

OP posts:
RunningKatie · 27/01/2011 11:16

Awww Flora, he's lovely. :)

And, many congratulations to Gallic, need to check the list to confirm if any queue jumping is going on.

Am going to have to have stern words with babyrunning, I do not want to be 36 when this baby is born so it has until 11.59pm on Saturday to come out. Not looking forward to the sweep tomorrow either but if it helps then I'm there.

Got upset tummy too Rock, hope you're feeling better today. Good luck with the cake baking, tis my sisters bday today so she's miffed I've not managed to produce her first nephew/niece to order!

Good luck with the MW Fuzzy

Crystylline · 27/01/2011 11:19

...in which case, pootle you could go shout at your plumbers and I might just go and shout! Grin

she's probably just keeping us all in suspense for a giggle.

if we were in the states, I'm sure you could claim justifiable homicide for any murder you had to commit at this stage. lol

gl fuzzy with mw appt.

CupcakesHay · 27/01/2011 11:19

oh, poor you Sad fuzzy - i really feel for you - 10 days over. I hope the m/w says something positive!

Yes i reckon bubba must finally be in labour!

And surely you must drop soon crysty - god even i'm getting impatient for some of you to have your babies!

DH is still asleep - i forgot how much he loves his sleep Grin

I had a very sensible chat with baby whilst watchign glee at 6am - and said he's been VERY good by not coming out til now. But now he has to come out. I said, i know i said the 1st feb - but if he wants to come any day, i won't be mad Wink. Maybe i'll be the only one in our group who has their baby on the due date Hmm

salt how are the unmetionable piles horrid things? Are they a bit better? And I'm trying to channel positive thoughts to you too!

And no running as yet.... or pootle

I can see me, about Feb 10th... sitting here, messaging veryone about how my baby's still a bump... and no one replying! Well - maybe ladybuzz! (thanks for popping in again!) Smile

And rock good for you on the urine sample front - does that mean that you can get away with eatting more sugar today?

Oh... and I made a deal with the devil DH today - as long as he promises to watch those seven 3-min you tube videos about birth/breathing/contractions we don't have to go to antenatal classes Blush - is that bad?

CupcakesHay · 27/01/2011 11:22

BUGGER x-post - and i see running and pootle are here. Sorry - did i put a curse on you both?

Poor pootle... hope H becomes DH soon. Make him get you some Krispy Kremes. And yes, Juries would def give you a bit of leighway on murder for being pregnant Grin

RunningKatie · 27/01/2011 11:25

I am here Cupcakes! Saw my NCT teacher at the pool this morning and she said I looked well and ready. Which is marvellous but doesn't actually get this baby to appear does it?! Jeez, if I'm like this at 4 days over, what on the earth will I be like if it goes all the way to being induced next Friday? Blush

Are you ok Pootle? Hope you're feeling better this morning.
