Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Talking of speed bumps there are 22 between our house and the hospital, I counted last time Smile May make DH drive me over them later to get things moving.
Your neighbours sound like a nightmare Bubba, can't believe they took your fence down and pulled a plant up, I don't blame you for being Angry.
I'm now completely pissed off with this, have given baby Fuzzy a serious talking to! Did have a show this morning though so who knows.

saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 12:46

I'll be getting a taxi :) morning or should i say afternoon. Had a really crap nights sleep last night so ended up just reading my book till 3 or 4 and listening to DH snoring. Been sleeping soundly since he left for work.
Debating with myself as to whether or not I should leave the house and pick up some bits and bobs from town and get my eyebrows threaded? Not sure. Will let crumpets settle first.
GL travis and ryuk
bubba sounds like a nightmare but excellent advice from crystyll me thinks.
I have another sweep booked for Thursday and my starsign says I will be meeting a new arrival on Friday so that is exciting :) Also DH said he thought it would come on a Friday so I have pencilled that day for giving birth. On that logic it should be safe for me to waddle into town...

Fuzzywood · 26/01/2011 15:11

Oh this is just getting silly now! Get out get out get out!!!!!!
Ahhhh feel a bit better now. Actually managed to go out for a walk hoping that will start things moving.
How are the donuts is DH Cupcakes?
it's quiet on here this afternoon hope you're not all queue jumping again Grin

CupcakesHay · 26/01/2011 15:13

Oooh - i'm back with DH sitting next to me! And i've just eaten a krispy kreme. Grin

he bought 3 sprinkles, 3 cookies & Creme, 2 glazed, 3 chocolate and a lemon meringue for my dad. And i had mcdonalds - so i'm happy and stuffed. And was a bit of a girl and a tear or two escaped when i saw him! He bought me 2 tops - for after the birht (hopefully that i'll fit into them) and the most ADORABLE disney photo frame.... i'll try and find it online and link it to you!

So i'm happy.

And yes - i misread your post too rock and thought you were driving. What did you decide in the end on the cake front?

More sweeps then salt - and threading - ooooh - that's painful - but so good!

And 22 bumps - poor you fuzzy! Shock - i'm dreading the thought of that already!

CupcakesHay · 26/01/2011 15:18

Photo Frame The crown bit twists round, so you can have 2 pictures on it, one on each side! It's sooooooo lovely in the flesh.

he also bought this sleepsuit for the baby: sleepsuit - ADORABLE. Bear

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 15:33

that's wonderful cupcakes enjoy your time together with bump!

oh fuzzy i'm due today and have started giving bump orders to leave, so i dread to think how much grumpier i'll be in a few days time.

if it's any consolation the vast majority of babies are born in the 40th -41st weeks, so i'm trying to be hopeful that bump is following the exit signs.

car collected and floor done. just thinking about what else i can do with my day, except be on MN and tidy up fanny around.

Pootle78 · 26/01/2011 15:33

Blimey Bubba I thought I was having issues with the plumbers/builders, it's good that we have Crystyl to keep you up to date with planning law!

Cucpcakes yum, yum, yum, drool, drool, drool - definitely think I am putting in an order with dh before the end of the week (although did google to find my nearest stockist and found there in one about 40 mins away - dare I risk the drive on my own?!)

Fuzzy a show is a good thing, so keeping fingers crossed for you, no queue jumping here, much to dh's disappointment and baby pootle has also had a good talking to, too!

salt threading sounds painful, but if you want it go for it, think of all those photos that will be taken of you afterwards and we all want to look our best Grin

Rock another one that thought you were driving, get an ambulance, the chances of getting to ride in one are probably few and far between and they'll have gas and air in them for the journey!!!

Right plumber has been and gone, whether he has fixed the problem, we will only find out tomorrow once everything is dried out. Had a 3 hour kip and wisely put my phone on silent, 3 missed calls and 2 texts - no I haven't had it, no there are no twinges and no I don't want to talk to anyone!

Going off to be grumpy!!!!!!

OP posts:
saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 15:42

I actually like the pain from threading as opposed to plucking and apparently it reduces potential eye wrinkling compared to plucking. It also lasts longer so I definitely recommend it :)

I've had periody type pains all day and it hurts to do anything. When in went to antenatal clinic yesterday I said I was getting all kinds of shooting pains and the doc said it was because the baby's head was so low down which is a good thing but bloody hell it is painful. Still I hope that means that when I'm fully dilated it won't take long to push it out. Does that make sense at all?

It has been so quiet on here this afternoon hasn't it. Is bubba back from consultants? Hope everything is good bubba.

Really not sure what to do with myself. Can't get into a comfy position. Also I was sitting on bouncy ball a lot but don't see the point now as baby clearly in the right position. Might have a bath and then read my book. Sorry for rambling but i'm so bored..

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 15:49

i'm bored too....

"I Spy" anyone? lol

salt the problem i've found with ignoring people is they then think you're in labour, so up the ante with the number/frequency of calls and when they finally do speak to you, they get all stroppy that you haven't replied sooner. grumble, grumble.

anyone heard from amigoingmad?

of the possible things to do... i have clean the bathroom, sweep the fireplace, hoover the curtains (snigger) or polish the teaspoons (double snigger).... or i could do some Iro...

argh!! come on baby!

saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 16:18

Tee hee crysyll I just hoovered and then went to the loo for a number 2 (tmi) and I passed my mucus plug Grin. Pretty gross but I'm pretty certain it was it. Yay! Now hopefully things will get going. Yay for hoovering :)

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 16:22

lol salt bet you've never been so happy about a bloody/snotty bundle of gunk in your life!

now, hurry up and get a beautiful baby on its way. time for bouncing on birth balls, pacing or napping/nibbling?

is it mean to remind everyone that i lost my plug 6 weeks ago and as of midnight tonight will be sodding overdue??? {evil cackle}

saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 16:52

Oh man really!! That sucks! 6 weeks ago!! Just been on the phone to my sister who is now very over excited about said bundle of gunk. Eugh!

I should go for a walk but it just aches down there. Maybe bouncing on the ball? Plus it is raining/drizzling so another reason not to leave the house.

Where the blimin hell is everyone. Thank god yo're here crystyll. I keep refreshing the page but my message is always last. I always seem to kill the conversation lol :(

Pootle78 · 26/01/2011 16:57

I'm here too, just flitting between here and facebook and ignoring phone calls and texts!

You can tell cupcakes has her man back in her life, but there seems to be a lot of girls MIA and it's not fair, it's my due date today too!

OP posts:
Crystylline · 26/01/2011 16:57

they're all having babies... Envy

i'm sure your show is for real though. i lost mine cos of my daft uterus and falling over badly - not common.

it's getting dark here, so can't really go wandering about the woodlands and would have to drive to go anywhere else.

was vaguely considering taking myself off to the cinema, but bit worried about heading out on my own for the evening - which is ridiculous, as i'm doing everything else on my tod.

probably would be too uncomfy to sit in the cinemas for two hours anyway.

sounds like you're on your way though.

blimey... will i be the last lass standing?

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 16:58

x post - snap pootle we're due, therefore we shall pop! lol

RockLover · 26/01/2011 17:00

Oooh salt, sounds positive! Cupcakes glad DH and Krispy Kremes arrived safely, enjoy them both :).

I just went to Morrisons and had an embarrassing experience warning TMI coming up. Just about to start shopping when tummy went all grumbly and I had to rush to the loo quickly. I had an upset tummy and typically that's when loads of women decided to come in and queue for the toilet and I just couldn't be quick!

Also DD was waiting outside the cubicle and thought it would be helpful to provide a running commentary on how I was taking the longest and the other ladies were already finished Blush. Bloody kids, I was so embarrassed!

Managed to finish the shopping after, but now I feel a bit yuck. I suppose if I look on the bright side it could be the pre labour clear our, but I won't hold my breath.

Bought all the ingredients for DP's birthday cake, so we'll see what a mess I can make of it (I am crap at baking). I'll have to bake it in the morning as I have my mw appt at 3.40pm, but I have promised DD she can help with the icing, so we'll have to do that after the appt.

Bloody hell I'm fed up of feeling rough, hope I perk up again later as I don't really feel like eating much dinner now. Buggeration!

LadyBuzz · 26/01/2011 17:01

oooh its all getting interesting now!

I do feel your pain ladies DS1 was 16 days over and I was not a happy bunny by the time he arrived.

cupcakes glad DH (and the krispy kremes) arrived safely Grin

I'm counting down til Friday when my DB arrives

Well Doctor came yesterday and said I prob didn't have an infection just muscle pain from the stitching and gave me codeine. MW has just called to say I def do have an infection and will have ABs by tomorrow. Grrr I just want to be able to walk FFS!

bubba hope you get your neighbours sorted out - how annoying.

Pootle78 · 26/01/2011 17:04

Rock could be the clear out! And kids, who'd have them Grin

Have fun making your cake, although, fingers crossed you won't have time as you'll be welcoming your little bubba to the world!

Pootle78 · 26/01/2011 17:08

X post again!

Hello Lady that's a bit crap about the doctor and the midwife but at least between them they will be able to sort it out and you'll be out pushing your pram very soon with no pain

Fingers crossed on the KK, if it were me, I'd be texting him to remind him, you wouldn't want him turning up saying he forgot (well that's what my brother would do anyway!)

OP posts:
saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 17:12

I feel for you ladybuzz. Must be so frustrating not being able to walk :( On the upside you can start getting better once they give you the ab.

Cinema sounds good crystyll I really want to watch 'The kings speech' but like you can't face sitting for 2 hours. Besides even when not pregnant I usually have to take a wee break.

Yes, you can tell cupcakes has her DH back as she is usually so regular on here :) Hope you are enjoying a good coaxing lol.

Now here's a silly question: now I have lost mucus plug would I be potentially causing an infection if I used bubble bath? And should I not be coaxing cervix anymore? [bbiscuit]

RockLover · 26/01/2011 17:13

Well it is my due date tomorrow pootle and DD has decided that I will have the baby in the morning. If that's true, I'm in for a rough night lol!

I don't feel like I'm close to labour, no twinges (since in bed this morning), muccous plug still firmly plugged and no waters leaking hmph. Saying that though, with DD I dodn't lose my plug until I actually knew I was in labour (boy did I know it) and I was about 2cm dilated.

If it does all kick off tonight, I hope my tummy settles down as I really don't want to be in labour with the runs...nice!

Pootle78 · 26/01/2011 17:15

I'd love to be in for a rough night, but no niggles, twinges or owt here!

OP posts:
RockLover · 26/01/2011 17:16

Salt I think it's only when your waters are leaking that they suggest no baths or sex to minimise the risk of infection.

I know that some women lose their plugs early and they can re-form, so I wouldn't worry too much. But you can always call the on duty mw just to check. :)

Crystylline · 26/01/2011 17:27

salt MW and docs said i was fine to bathe etc without me plug in! lol

in fact a warm bath might be just the thing right now, but don't make it too hot!

no idea if my plug has reformed. TMI alert I do get discharge too... white, normal uck stuff. intrigued to know if i will get another show though...

rock good luck with sticking to DD's schedule. she sounds v. organised! maybe the baby will arrive as a great birthday pressie for your OH....

and Hi lady how very confusing for you. still, as already said, at least you'll get it sorted either way. hope you're not feeling too miserable with the pain and little Kali doing well. x

saltnvinigarcrips · 26/01/2011 17:45

Just been reading my pregnancy manual to check the difference between a mucus plug and a bloody show. Looks like i had both at the same time? Confused but either way a good sign. Still it could be another 2 days boo hoo. Feeling positive and sorry for going on but DH isn't back from work yet.

Right, thanks for advice rock and crystyll going to run myself a warm bath now and hopefully when I get back all those mia will make an appearance. I intend to keep ya'll updated if I have a contraction so where is everyone else???
