What a lovely thing to say TTL :) And sorry you're feeling like poo, really hope you feel better soon

knackered76 · 23/11/2010 19:19

congrats on the good scan news so far Grin

Jasmine - fingers crossed all is well, after all you've been through to get this far I can understand your worry. As mummy2 says though she's had quite a lot of bleeding and all is well so hopefully it's the same for you :)

NurseS - glad to hear xp behaved himself :) When's your next scan date?

Misshoohaa - hope you're feeling better today. I've been feeling rubbish today with a chesty cough and cold, etc. Was wishing dh would hide my keys and then remembered my work stays with me during the day until school and preschool :) Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow.

TTL - sorry you're feeling pants, hope you start to feel better soon.

I'm sure I've missed things so sorry if I have, I can only answer people if their posts are on the same page I am writing!

Used my doppler last night to see if I could pick up the heartbeat but with no luck. I then thought I would check it was still working okay and tried to find my own heartbeat, apparently I am dead inside and a miracle so plan to sell myself to science and make a fortune Grin . . . oh and buy new batteries!

Off to study (unlike last night when I had a bath instead)!

petitech · 23/11/2010 19:39

Are we adding the stats then now, once people pass 12 weeks?

milliemuffin · 23/11/2010 19:56

Add them whenever you feel comfortable adding them. I'm only 8+5 but we found the list to be a great help in my previous 'Due...' threads as you can see who else is close to your EDD and it's great when the babies start being born and the list starts to have babies names attached to it :)

Is anyone else being a bit short with their other DC? My patients are very thin at the moment and whereas I'd usually repeat myself 3/4/5 times I'm just getting up instead and doing whatever it is I've asked them to do. Plus my little DD who's coming up 1 is unwell with a cough/cold/high temp but she's so fierce/loud whereas DS was so loving at her age so I'm finding her difficult to deal with which isn't good, makes me wonder how I'll cope with 3 Hmm

KaraStarbuckThrace · 23/11/2010 20:14

hello everyone.

Congrats on your scans Nurse & Mummy.

Hope you are okay Jasmine - bleeding IS very common in pregnancy. Do go back if you are concerned though.

Been feeling ill, throwing up and slighty dodgy bowels plus splitting headache. Was seriously tempted to cancel all my appointments today but I need the work!

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 20:16

Is anyone going to make an announcement facebook or twitter???? Im not sure, i am a FB addict, a lot of my friends already know so it will be no surprise to them and do i really need the 'friends' from school knowing LOL. I think my status would be........'has a bun in the oven' as i am already renound for baking etc

jasmine51 · 23/11/2010 20:18

No more bleeding thankfully. Dog was hyper as opposed to subdued last time I had MC so fingers crossed it was just one of those things. Now keeping legs crossed until 12 wk scan in 10 days.
Actually today I've not felt ill either so maybe it was just a hormone adjustment.
Bounty pack? that sounds interesting whats that? Actually the Bounty bit sounds interesting on its own...ice cold..mmmm

neenewps · 23/11/2010 20:22

I probably will make an announcement on FB but then I generally only have people on there that I would want to know.

kara hope you are getting some rest tonight. I hate having headaches :(

sasamaxx · 23/11/2010 20:46

LOL @ knackered's doppler situation Grin

Clarkiee · 23/11/2010 21:08

I mentioned on here about facebook. I'm quite an addict but the friends I want to know on there already know (now).
I temporarly removed my wall because after my DH text his friend his DP wrote a congratulations message on my wall before I had chance to tell half my friends!

I put a discreet ;-) ;-) status and the people that knew wrote discreet message but one person just wrote 'congratulations can't wait to meet the new arrivals in the summer!' so that gave it away a bit, removed all comments now. If people want to send me a message they can use the inbox (which they have been doing).

Just didn't want all randoms from school knowing just yet.

bananarama05 · 23/11/2010 21:11

Evening peeps,

Happy faces all round here, scan went well and put me spot on with dates - 12+3 today so due June 4th so i guess I can stay on the thread :) Was lovely but very freaky at the same time! Still can't quite get me head round the fact THAT is in THERE Grin

Love knackered's doppler issue also!

Thanks for all your wishes and thoughts today and congrats to the other scan-ee's today! Hope those of you still waiting for dates get them soon.

nursesunshine looks like we're no longer due date twins eh? :)

On the FB issue my friend has deleted her wall which I'm considering doing for a while once I've made it public knowledge, that way people can inbox me but i don't have to have it plastered all over for the world and their dog to see. I deleted a few "friends" last night in fairness with a view of "would I want them knowing?"

bananarama05 · 23/11/2010 21:12

x-post Clarkiee I thought I'd seen someone on here say something about removing their wall but thought it was on another thread, sorry, baby brain strikes again!

How do you delete your wall out of interest? Couldn't figure it out when I had a bit of a look last night

mrsbigw · 23/11/2010 21:14

Hi all, lovely to see everyones scan has gone well, mine did too, my due date has been brought forward to 26th May :)

My next scan isn't until 6th Jan, can't wait for that one!

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 21:15

Clarkiee i also removed my wall after i told my colleauges / friends but have now reinstated it. I have had a few randoms that i know through work send me private messages which i have no problem with as the gossip is obviously spreading. Maybe i will wait til later in the pregnancy unless someone posts something. i dont mind really, think i just feel a bit shy as some of my school 'freinds' have 16-18yr olds and theres me with my first LOL

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 21:18

banana its in privacy settings and you have to customise some of the settings to 'only me' and untick an enable button. It took me a while......trouble is it alsi stops people from seeing your status updates so i had a few emails saying.....you've gone quiet, whats the matter etc LOL

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 21:19

banana whoop whoop about the scan, excellent news

BarbieLovesKen · 23/11/2010 21:27

Sasamaxx your dead right (bout popping out placent Grin) twas like that with dd although with ds, I was pee'd off as I didnt have a lovely baby to cuddle and was a little distraught and completely unreasonably annoyed at being bothered to do more ("just leave it there", I think I said) Grin.

DS had poo'd before he was born though, as there was loads when my waters broke and had inhaled meconium during the birth - he hadnt to be taken away immediately as he wasnt crying and needed suction, thankfully tough, I got him back a few minutes later and he was absolutely perfect (sorry bit early for birth advice but now that I think of it, note to first timers, if theres green lumps in your amniotic fluid when your waters break - dont hang around to go to hospital, chances are all will be fine but may need to deliver baby asap )

Milliemuffin your right - if your lucky enough to find one good pair of maternity pants your laughing. I actually wore my last comfy pair to pieces when pregnant with ds, I think I wore them every day for 9 months (I did wash them at night though!!!!) is so hard to get one that suits.

Mummynumber2 am so, so glad all is well, it really sounds like you are one of those who continues to have somewhat of a "period". Smile how lovely to see a nice big healthy baby! and huge congratulations at hitting week`12

Jasmine am angry that you were sent away!! was hoping you would get some reassurance. I really dont want to ask a really ridiculous question or sound patronising but just because you mentioned you were constipated and straining I was wondering are you sure where the bleeding was coming from? Its just when I was about 32 weeks pregnant with ds, I wiped one day and had quite a bit of fresh bright red blood. Was absolutely terrifed. Turns out I had internal piles Blush and it was coming from the back Blush (why on earth am I telling people that?!)

NurseSun Woo hoo!!! delighted all is well. You sound like your floating on air. Sorry you got "put back" a couple of weeks though (although you sound too happy to care).

BarbieLovesKen · 23/11/2010 21:34

banana and MrsBigW huge congratulations on your scans!! MrsBigW bet your delighted about gaining a few days - when did you think you were due?

Selfishly have to admit to being ever so slightly jealous (in a nice way) over all these scans as due to doc's mess up I still dont have a scan date.

OP posts:
mrsbigw · 23/11/2010 21:36

Was due 1st June barbie, hope you get yours soon, I'm sure you were originally on 1st June too?

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 21:38

How many weeks do you think are Barbie? my midwife gave me my scan date at the booking in appointment last friday......for next monday. I thought mine would be ages away as i hadnt heard anything and she gave me the letter by hand

BarbieLovesKen · 23/11/2010 21:39

Yes!! (wow you've a brilliant memory Smile) I know I had that one at 9 weeks that we paid for but am dying for my 12 week one as Im paniced now from stories on here of people seeing babies at that stage then nothing at week 12.

I was moved to 28th May so quite close to you still Grin. Was delighted. That never happened before. Still expecting June baby though.

OP posts:
mrsbigw · 23/11/2010 21:40

Thanks barbie but I tend to remember random facts & forget the things I need, like where my car keys/ handbag etc are!

moomin156 · 23/11/2010 21:41

i still havent seen mine......for all i know it could be a pseudo pregnancy, what with my lack of symptoms and only 6 positive tests!

BarbieLovesKen · 23/11/2010 21:43

Oh well Moomin I feel bad for complaining now!!! whens your scan?

PML MrsBigW, I just dont remember either Grin

Grr.. am getting so fed up with spam emails. Am getting at least 5 a day from "enlarge penis" telling me how to get a huge willy.
