Due July 2011?

1000 replies

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

Hi, after a gap we are having another just becuase we wondered if we still could! It feels interesting- I will be embarrassed to admit being pregnant with a 4th and over 40 -then to say its planned. However we are secretly delighted and only hope it sticks (couple of others haven't) but all seems go for launch in July first week probably. The other kids know at 8, 10 nd 12 and have promised to help (yeah right) and we haven't enough space but I am sure we'll cross that bridge later.

Crazyafterthought · 10/11/2010 15:37

Just worked out I am the oldest at 42. Don't feel that old though. Must be the only mother who is using anti wrinkle cream in preference to the stomach stretch mark stuff.
Ahven't worked out all the anacronyms to put the stats in but due 2nd july, boy 12, boy 10 and girl 8. 2 sections and a normal.

Hi Everyone,

I'm pleased to announce my BFP also. Only found out this AM at 19DPO (nearly a week late). Do you mind if I join?

Emmylou & Notnearly nice to see you again. I can't believe I'm here........

We have been TTC#1 for 5 months. We had a termination back in May at 15wks due to a rare nueral tube disorder that the docs described as 'incompatible with life' so although we are vary happy, we are both totally bricking it.

As far as I can work out I'm due on 13/07/2011. Oh I do hope everyting goes ok with this PG, I don;t knw how I'll cope if it all goes wrong again.

Congrats to everyone, I'm looking forward to sharing the next 9 months with you all.

xx Smile

StormBird · 10/11/2010 20:35

nicolamumof3 · 10/11/2010 20:46

Hello Stormbird, wishing you all the very best..you know they say the 13th is lucky? It is DS3's bday on the 13th and our wedding anniv on the 18th so July going to be a busy time for us I hope.

BeatrixRotter · 10/11/2010 20:52

Hello to Crazy nicola and stormbird

I did the digital clearblue thing today and it came back with 2-3 weeks so it seems likely that I am 5 weeks pregnant rather than 9. It is hard to believe as there really wasn't a great deal of trying going on last month.

I now have what feels like very strong period pains and am curled up with a hot water bottle. Has anyone else had this? I didn't get it first time around.

StormBird · 10/11/2010 20:56

Hi Beatrix ,

Does that mean if I got 2-3wks on a clear blue digi this morning I'm more like 5 weeks up the duff???

We didn;t do a great deal of trying either last month....strange isn't it!!

My symptoms so far have been one major bad temper, terrible acid reflux, nausea (I'm hoping its not as bad as the last PG cos I was so sick of being sick) not actually thrown up yet though and my boobs are just about getting tender in the nipple area.

I get the odd crampy pain, more of a dul ache now though very low down.

xx

BeatrixRotter · 10/11/2010 21:12

Yeah it's 2-3 weeks since conception so that would make you 5 weeks, depending on your cycle I guess. Not sure how accurate they are.

I have the major bad temper too and I certainly had that last time. Am hoping the cramps don't mean anything bad, they are very low down.

sweetiexxx · 10/11/2010 21:37

Hi,

Can I join too please? Found out that I am pregnant with DC 2 on Saturday. It's all a bit of a shock really and not quite sure how I feel about it yet - Confused Already have a DD who is 17 months and had a bad birth exprience with her so think I'm just really scared. Anyway it would be lovely to share this journey with you all

I've always had mild cramping at beginning of all my pgs hope it goes off. These early weeks are so stressful. I'm not being too bad as no one knows it's easier to almost forget at the moment!

BrassicaBabe · 11/11/2010 09:37

I'm trying to work out if I'm brave enough to join you... I'm only 12DPO and tested BFP yesterday. Could be, would be due 23rd July.

Not quite ready to add myself to the list. So for now I'll say "hi" and lurk for a bit Grin

scaredkelly · 11/11/2010 10:22

Hi

First mid wife appointment today. Due date 5th July. 1st post ever, first baby. All new. Not up with the abbreviations yet.

Feel awful, have cystitis, thrush fro mthe anti biotics for the cystitis (which isn't going) feel constantly sick and tired.. will it get better????

Kelly

loueytbg · 11/11/2010 10:27

Just wanted to pop in and say Hi to kelly

Yes it will get better, this is pretty much the worst period in my experience. Poor you on the cystitis and thrush. Make sure you eat/drink those friendly bacteria yoghurt things as they really help with stopping thrush coming back. If the cystitis isn't going then they should probably give you some different antibiotics.

storm welcome and I really hope you have a trouble-free pregnancy this time round because I know that must have been a truly awful thing to have gone through

Hi to all the other newbies too. I'm supposed to be working but feel grim, puked up bile this morning and can still taste it

Pesha · 11/11/2010 10:49

Beatrix - I had really quite bad pains around 4 to 5 weeks that went from being like bad period pains to then feeling like a very sharp ache very low down on the left side and bending and sitting made it a lot worse (had just started to wonder about ectopic when it started to get better!). I've had it to an extent in all my pgs although it seems to have got worse each time. In my first pg I didn't think to test until I was a week or 2 late cos I thought the pains were period pains and AF was gonna arrive any day.

Hello and welcome to all new people Smile Glad to see the thread is starting to fill up a bit now, it seemed very slow to get going before!

I am feeling worse every day and even said to my friend earlier that I'm not sure I really wanted another baby this much! I'm sure I do really I'm just struggling to cope with my own 3 kids and working 30 hours a week as a childminder and trying to keep on top of the house and paperwork and christmas and everything else whilst running to the toilet every half hr trying to be sick!! I'm meant to have a 10 hour day tomorrow but really think I might have to take some time off.

Sorry, all I seem to be doing is moaning, I'm not normally this negative! Will try harder in future! On a more positive note I have just spent lots of money in the M&S sale on clothes for the dc for christmas and also bought a very cute grobag for not quite yet bump!! They also have some very cute babygros and vests but I already have neutral ones so only really want to buy any more clothes once I know what I'm having!! That and I was spending far too much money anyway so thought I better stop! I know its very early days to be buying things but I needed to try and cheer myself up and focus my mind on the reason for me feeling like this and that it will be worth it in the end.

Stangirl · 11/11/2010 11:29

BeatrixRotter · 11/11/2010 12:52

Thanks for the reasurance Pesha, it is much better today.

Sorry you're having such a rough time of it Kelly. I was exhausted during first trimesterlast time and it did get much better after 12 weeks. I second what Louey says about getting some good bacteria into your system and plenty of fluids/cranberry juice to help with the cystitus. Hope you are feeling better soon.

And going back to the subject of exhaustion Pesha I am not surprised you are fed up. 3 kids and 30 hours of childminding on top of all the housework etc sounds like hard work!

Mitchell81 · 11/11/2010 13:10

I think afew stages of pregnancy are hard and the first weeks are definetly one of them. I am so tired at the moment and could easily go to bed at 8 ever night. Got scan in the morning hoping due date will be closer as feel like I have been pregnant forever and only just 6 weeks. Grin Wink

Eglu · 11/11/2010 19:04

This is my first antenatal club, and I'm really enjoying it.

Is it awful to say that it is nice to see other people are feeling as crap as me? I feel so tired, that it is just unbelievable. I think I could cope with the nausea if it wasn't for the tiredness. I'm not sure how I will get through the next 6 weeks at work without telling them why I feel so crap.

DH told MIL today and her reaction was 'Oh my God' I'm going to call my Mum later and expect the same or worse. My Mum doesn't believe that anyone should have more that two DC. Wish me luck!

Crazyafterthought · 11/11/2010 21:32

Pesha, thanks for the help on that one. Lovely to be part of the gang. and to see the stats in lights!
Feeling dreadful but trying to 'embrace the sickness' and is becoming difficult to keep it quiet and feeling awful in the long hours that I work- saw a colleague with a 3 month old and she guessed at once.

Roll on 12 weeks although I am as nervous about the tests as this time I think I will need a CVS Hmm

nicolamumof3 · 11/11/2010 21:50

My nausea is definitely increasing now if i start to get hungry. And the tiredness getting worse and im not quite 5 weeks yet!!

Pesha · 12/11/2010 09:30

Well couldn't bring myself to ring everyone last night to take today off so was all set to work only to be woken up at half 6 by ds2 on the toilet with an upset tummy wanting his bum wiped (just what you need with morning sickness!!) and he has since been sick several times and dd claims she feels sick and has a headache (although she seems fine Hmm)so have had to have a day off anyway! Which is just as well as I feel worse than ever today and not sure I would have made it up to school and back! Although mopping up someone else's sick is not quite the day off I had hoped for!!

jamhs · 12/11/2010 10:29
